Jeremías 28

1 Y aconteció en el mismo año, en el principio del reinado de Sedequías rey de Judá, en el año cuarto, en el quinto mes, que Hananías, hijo de Azur, profeta que era de Gabaón, me habló en la Casa del SEÑOR delante de los sacerdotes y de todo el pueblo, diciendo:

And it came to pass in the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah the king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that there said unto me Chananyah the son of 'Azzur the prophet, who was from Gib'on, in the house of the Lord, before the eyes of the priests, and of all the people, as followeth,

2 Así habló el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, diciendo: Quebranté el yugo del rey de Babilonia.

Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon;

3 Dentro de dos años de días tornaré a este lugar todos los vasos de la Casa del SEÑOR, que Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, llevó de este lugar para meterlos en Babilonia;

Within yet two years' time will I cause to be brought back unto this place all the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon hath taken away from this place, and which he hath carried to Babylon:

4 y yo tornaré a este lugar a Jeconías hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, y a todos los transportados de Judá que entraron en Babilonia, dice el SEÑOR; porque yo quebrantaré el yugo del rey de Babilonia.

And Jechonyah the son of Jehoyakim the king of Judah, and all the exiles of Judah that are gone to Babylon, will I cause to return to this place, saith the Lord; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

5 Y dijo Jeremías profeta a Hananías profeta, delante de los sacerdotes y delante de todo el pueblo que estaba en la Casa del SEÑOR.

Then said Jeremiah the prophet unto Chananyah the prophet before the eyes of the priests, and before the eyes of all the people that stood in the house of the Lord,

6 Dijo pues Jeremías profeta: Amén, así lo haga el SEÑOR. Confirme el SEÑOR tus palabras, con las cuales profetizaste que los vasos de la Casa del SEÑOR, y todos los transportados, han de ser tornados de Babilonia a este lugar.

Yea, then said Jeremiah the prophet, Amen, may the Lord do so: may the Lord fulfill thy words which thou hast prophesied, to cause the vessels of the Lord's house, and all that have been carried into exile, to be brought back from Babylon unto this place.

7 Con todo eso, oye ahora esta palabra que yo hablo en tus oídos y en los oídos de todo el pueblo:

Nevertheless hear thou now this word which I speak before thy ears, and before the ears of all the people:

8 Los profetas que fueron antes de mí y antes de ti en tiempos pasados, profetizaron sobre muchas tierras y grandes reinos, de guerra, y de aflicción, y de pestilencia.

The prophets that have been before me and before thee from olden times prophesied both concerning many countries, and against great kingdoms, respecting war, and respecting evil, and respecting pestilence.

9 El profeta que profetizó de paz, cuando sobreviniere la palabra del profeta, será conocido como el profeta que el SEÑOR en verdad envió.

The prophet who prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet doth come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, [as the one] whom the Lord hath sent in truth.

10 Y Hananías profeta quitó el yugo del cuello de Jeremías profeta, y lo quebró,

Then took Chananyah the prophet the yoke-bar from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and broke it.

11 Y habló Hananías en presencia de todo el pueblo, diciendo: Así dijo el SEÑOR: De esta manera quebraré el yugo de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, del cuello de todos los gentiles dentro de dos años de días. Y siguió Jeremías su camino.

And Chananyah said before the eyes of all the people, as followeth, Thus hath said the Lord, Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon within two years' time from the neck of all the nations. And Jeremiah the prophet went his way.

12 Y después que Hananías profeta quebró el yugo del cuello de Jeremías profeta, vino palabra del SEÑOR a Jeremías, diciendo:

Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, after Chananyah the prophet had broken the yoke-bar from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

13 Ve, y habla a Hananías, diciendo: Así dijo el SEÑOR: Yugos de madera quebraste, mas en vez de ellos harás yugos de hierro.

Go and say unto Chananyah as followeth, Thus hath said the Lord, Yoke-bars of wood hast thou broken; but thou shalt make in their stead yoke-bars of iron.

14 Porque así dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Yugo de hierro puse sobre el cuello de todos estos gentiles, para que sirvan a Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y le servirán; y aun también le he dado las bestias del campo.

For thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, A yoke of iron have I placed upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon; and they shall work for him: and also the beasts of the field have I given him.

15 Entonces dijo Jeremías profeta a Hananías profeta: Ahora oye, Hananías; el SEÑOR no te envió, y tú hiciste a este pueblo confiar en mentira.

Then said Jeremiah the prophet unto Chananyah the prophet, Hear now, Chananyah, The Lord did not send thee; but thou hast caused this people to trust on a falsehood.

16 Por tanto, así dijo el SEÑOR: He aquí que yo te envío de sobre la faz de la tierra; y en este año morirás, porque hablaste rebelión contra el SEÑOR.

Therefore thus hath said the Lord, Behold, I will send thee away from off the face of the earth: this year shalt thou die, because thou hast spoken rebellion against the Lord.

17 Y en el mismo año murió Hananías en el mes séptimo.

So Chananyah the prophet died in that same year, in the seventh month.
