Isaías 48
1 Oíd esto, casa de Jacob, que os llamáis del nombre de Israel, los que salieron de las aguas de Judá, los que juran en el nombre del SEÑOR, y hacen memoria del Dios de Israel no en verdad ni en justicia;
Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah; which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
2 porque de la santa ciudad se nombran, y en el Dios de Israel confían; su nombre, el SEÑOR de los ejércitos.
For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; the LORD of hosts is his name.
3 Lo que pasó, ya hace días que lo dije, y de mi boca salió; lo publiqué, lo hice presto, y vino a ser.
I have declared the former things from of old; yea, they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them: suddenly I did them, and they came to pass.
4 Porque conozco que eres duro, y nervio de hierro tu cerviz, y tu frente de bronce,
Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
5 Te lo dije ya hace días, antes que viniese te lo enseñé, para que no dijeses: Mi ídolo lo hizo, mi escultura y mi vaciadizo mandó estas cosas.
therefore I have declared it to thee from of old; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.
6 Lo oíste, lo viste todo; ¿y no lo anunciaréis vosotros? Ahora, pues, ya te hice oír cosas nuevas y escondidas, que tú no sabías.
Thou hast heard it; behold all this; and ye, will ye not declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, which thou hast not known.
7 Ahora fueron creadas, no en días pasados, ni antes de este día las habías oído; para que no digas: He aquí que yo lo sabía.
They are created now, and not from of old; and before this day thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
8 Ciertamente, nunca lo habías oído, ciertamente nunca lo habías conocido; ciertamente nunca antes se abrió tu oreja. Porque sabía que siendo desleal habías de desobedecer, por tanto te llamé rebelde desde el vientre.
Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from of old thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou didst deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
9 Por causa de mi nombre dilataré mi furor; y para alabanza mía te esperaré con paciencia, para no talarte.
For my name’s sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
10 He aquí te he purificado, y no como a plata; te he escogido en horno de aflicción.
Behold, I have refined thee, but not as silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
11 Por mí, por mí, lo haré. ¿De otra manera cómo sería profanado? Y mi honra no la daré a otro.
For mine own sake, for mine own sake, will I do it; for how should [my name] be profaned? and my glory will I not give to another.
12 Oyeme, Jacob, y tú, Israel, llamado mío: Yo mismo, yo el primero, también yo el postrero.
Hearken unto me, O Jacob, and Israel my called: I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
13 Ciertamente mi mano fundó la tierra, y mi mano derecha midió los cielos con el palmo; al llamarlos yo, aparecieron juntamente.
Yea, mine hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spread out the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.
14 Juntaos todos vosotros, y oíd. ¿Quién hay entre ellos, que anuncie estas cosas? El SEÑOR lo amó, el cual ejecutará su voluntad sobre Babilonia, y su brazo sobre los caldeos.
Assemble yourselves, all ye, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he shall perform his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm [shall be on] the Chaldeans.
15 Yo, yo hablé, y lo llamé, y lo traje; por tanto, será prosperado su camino.
I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
16 Allegaos a mí, oíd esto. Desde el principio no hablé en escondido; desde que la cosa se hizo, estuve allí; y ahora el SEÑOR Dios me envió, y su Espíritu.
Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; from the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD hath sent me, and his spirit.
17 Así dijo el SEÑOR, Redentor tuyo, el Santo de Israel: Yo soy, el SEÑOR Dios tuyo, que te enseña provechosamente; que te encamina por el camino en que andas.
Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the LORD thy God, which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
18 ¡Deseo que miraras tú a mis mandamientos! Fuera entonces tu paz como un río, y tu justicia como las ondas del mar.
Oh that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
19 Fuera, como la arena, tu simiente; y los renuevos de tus entrañas como las pedrezuelas de ella; nunca su nombre fuera cortado, ni raído de mi presencia.
thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the grains thereof: his name should not be cut off nor destroyed from before me.
20 Salid de Babilonia, huid de entre los caldeos. Dad nuevas de esto con voz de alegría; publicadlo, llevadlo hasta lo postrero de la tierra. Decid: Redimió el SEÑOR a su siervo Jacob.
Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans; with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth: say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
21 Y no tuvieron sed cuando los llevó por los desiertos; les hizo correr agua de la piedra; cortó la peña, y corrieron las aguas.
And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
22 No hay paz para los malos, dijo el SEÑOR.
There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.
