Isaías 45
1 Así dice el SEÑOR a su Mesías, Ciro, al cual yo tomé por su mano derecha, para sujetar gentiles delante de él, y desatar lomos de reyes. Para abrir delante de él puertas; y las puertas no se cerrarán:
Thus hath said the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whom I have taken hold of by his right hand, to subdue nations before him, even the loins of kings will I ungird, to open before him [city-]doors, and gates that they shall not be shut;
2 Yo iré delante de ti, y los rodeos enderezaré; quebrantaré puertas de bronce, y cerrojos de hierro haré pedazos;
I myself will go before thee, and proud eminences will I level: doors of brass will I break in pieces, and bolts of iron will I cut asunder.
3 y te daré los tesoros escondidos, y los secretos muy guardados, para que sepas que yo soy el SEÑOR, el Dios de Israel, que te pongo nombre.
And I will give unto thee the treasures of darkness, and riches hidden in secret places; in order that thou mayest know that I am the Lord, who call thee by thy name, the God of Israel;
4 Por mi siervo Jacob, y por Israel mi escogido, te llamé por tu nombre; te puse tu sobrenombre, aunque no me conociste.
For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my elect; and I have called thee by thy name: I have designated thee, though thou hast not known me.
5 Yo soy el SEÑOR, y ninguno más hay; no hay Dios fuera de mí. Yo te ceñiré, aunque tú no me conociste;
I am the Lord, and there is none else, beside me there is no god; I assisted thee, though thou hast not known me.
6 para que se sepa desde el nacimiento del sol, y desde donde se pone, que no hay más que yo. Yo soy el SEÑOR, y ninguno más que yo.
In order that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from its setting, that there is nothing without me. I am the Lord, and there is no one else;
7 Que formo la luz, y creo las tinieblas; que hago la paz y que creo el mal. Yo soy el SEÑOR, que hago todo esto.
Forming the light, and creating darkness; making peace, and creating evil: I the Lord do all these things.
8 Desatad, cielos, de arriba, y las nubes derramarán la justicia; ábrase la tierra, y fructifíquense la salud y la justicia; háganse producir juntamente. Yo, el SEÑOR, lo he creado.
Drop down ye heavens, and let the skies distil blessing; let the earth open and let them [all] be fruitful of prosperity, and let righteousness spring up likewise: I the Lord have created it.
9 ¡Ay del que pleitea con su Hacedor! ¡El tiesto, contra los tiestos de la tierra! ¿Dirá el barro al que lo labra: Qué haces? y tu obra: No tiene forma.
Woe unto him that contendeth with the one who formed him—a potsherd among the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
10 ¡Ay del que dice al padre: ¿Por qué engendraste? Y a la mujer: ¿Por qué diste a luz?
Woe unto him that saith unto [his] father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What bringest thou forth?
11 Así dice el SEÑOR, el Santo de Israel, y su Formador: Preguntadme de las cosas por venir; inquiridme acerca de mis hijos, y acerca de la obra de mis manos.
Thus hath said the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and he who hath formed him, About events to come will you ask me? concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands will ye command me?
12 Yo hice la tierra, y yo creé sobre ella al hombre. Yo, mis manos, extendieron los cielos, y a todo su ejército mandé.
[When] I myself have made the earth, and created man upon it; [when] I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and I have ordained all their host.
13 Yo lo desperté en justicia, y todos sus caminos enderezaré. El edificará mi ciudad, y soltará mis cautivos no por precio, ni por dones, dice el SEÑOR de los ejércitos.
I myself have waked him up in righteousness, and all his ways will I make straight: he shall build my city, and my exiles shall he dismiss free, not for purchase-money nor for presents, saith the Lord of hosts.
14 Así dice el SEÑOR: El trabajo de Egipto, las mercaderías de Etiopía, y los sabeos hombres agigantados, se pasarán a ti, y serán tuyos; irán en pos de ti, pasarán con grillos; a ti harán reverencia, y a ti suplicarán: diciendo: Cierto, en ti está Dios, y no hay otro fuera de Dios.
Thus hath said the Lord, The labor of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and of the Sabeans, men of high stature, shall pass over unto thee, and thine shall they be: behind thee shall they walk; in chains shall they pass along, and unto thee shall they bow, unto thee shall they pray, [saying] Yea, only among thee is God; and there is no one else beside God.
15 Verdaderamente tú eres Dios, que te encubres; Dios de Israel, que salvas.
Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
16 Se avergonzarán, y todos ellos se afrentarán; irán con vergüenza todos los fabricadores de imágenes.
They are ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: together shall they go to confusion that are makers of idols.
17 Israel es salvo en el SEÑOR, salud eterna; no os avergonzaréis, ni os afrentaréis, por todos los siglos.
[But] Israel shall be helped by the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed and not be confounded unto all eternity.
18 Porque así dijo el SEÑOR, que crea los cielos; él mismo, el Dios que forma la tierra, el que la hizo, y la compuso. No la creó para nada; para que fuese habitada la creó: Yo soy el SEÑOR, y ninguno más que yo.
For thus hath said the Lord the creator of the heavens; he, the God that formed the earth and made it; he that hath established it, —not for naught did he create it, to be inhabited did he form it: I am the Lord; and there is no one else.
19 No hablé en escondido, en un lugar oscuro de la tierra. No en balde dije a la generación de Jacob: Buscadme; yo soy el SEÑOR que hablo justicia, que anuncio rectitud.
Not on a secret spot have I spoken, in a dark place of the earth; I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me for naught; [but] I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
20 Reuníos, y venid, allegaos, todos los escapados de los gentiles. No tienen conocimiento los que levantan el madero de su escultura, y los que ruegan al dios, que no salva.
Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye escaped fugitives of the nations! They have no knowledge that carry the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
21 Publicad, y haced llegar, y entren todos en consulta. ¿Quién hizo oír esto desde el principio, y desde entonces lo tiene dicho, sino yo, el SEÑOR? Y no hay más Dios que yo; Dios justo y Salvador, no hay más que yo.
Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: Who hath announced this in ancient times? told it from the beginning? is it not I the Lord? and there is no other god without me, a just god and a saviour; there is none beside me.
22 Mirad a mí, y sed salvos, todos los términos de la tierra, porque yo soy Dios, y no hay más.
Turn unto me, so that ye may be helped, all ye ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no one else.
23 Por mí hice juramento, de mi boca salió palabra en justicia, la cual no se tornará; que a mí se doblará toda rodilla, y jurará toda lengua.
By myself have I sworn, righteousness is gone out of my mouth, a word [which] shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bend, every tongue shall swear.
24 Y a mí dirá: Cierto en el SEÑOR está la justicia y la fuerza; hasta él vendrá; y todos los que se enojan contra él, serán avergonzados.
Only in the Lord, —shall men say of me, —there are righteousness and strength. Unto him shall come and be ashamed all that are incensed against him.
25 En el SEÑOR serán justificados y se gloriará toda la generación de Israel.
In the Lord shall be justified, and shall glory themselves all the seed of Israel.
