Isaías 35
1 Se alegrarán el desierto y la soledad; el yermo se gozará, y florecerá como lirio.
The wilderness and dry land will celebrate; the desert will blossom like the crocus.
2 Florecerá profusamente, y también alabará y cantará con júbilo; la honra del Líbano le será dada, la hermosura del Carmelo y de Sarón. Ellos verán la gloria del SEÑOR, la hermosura del Dios nuestro.
Bloom profusely, celebrate and sing! The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God.
3 Confortad las manos cansadas, esforzad las rodillas que titubean.
Make the weak hands strong, and make the trembling knees firm!
4 Decid a los medrosos de corazón: Confortaos, no temáis; he aquí que vuestro Dios viene con venganza, con pago, el mismo Dios vendrá, y os salvará.
Tell those who are frightened, “Be strong! Don't be afraid! Look, your God is coming to punish his enemies, with divine retribution he will come to save you.”
5 Entonces los ojos de los ciegos serán abiertos; y los oídos de los sordos se abrirán.
When that happens, the blind will see, and the deaf will hear.
6 Entonces el cojo saltará como un ciervo; y alabará la lengua del mudo; porque aguas serán cavadas en el desierto, y arroyos en la soledad.
The lame will jump like a deer, and the dumb will sing for joy. Springs will gush in the wilderness; streams will flow in the desert.
7 El lugar seco será tornado en estanque, y el sequedal en manaderos de aguas; en la habitación de dragones, en su cama, será lugar de cañas y de juncos.
The dried-up ground will become like a pool, the arid land like water springs. In the place where jackals used to live, there will be grass and reeds and rushes.
8 Y habrá allí camino y calzada, y se llamará Camino de Santidad; no pasará por él hombre inmundo; y habrá para ellos en él quien los acompañe, de tal manera que los insensatos no yerren.
There will be a highway there, a road called “The Way of Holiness.” Nobody bad will travel on it, only those who follow the Way. Fools will not go there.
9 No habrá allí león, ni bestia fiera subirá por él, ni allí se hallará; para que puedan caminar los redimidos.
No lions or other dangerous animals will be found there on the road—only the redeemed will walk along it.
10 Y los redimidos del SEÑOR volverán, y vendrán a Sion con cánticos; y gozo perpetuo será sobre sus cabezas; y retendrán el gozo, y la alegría, y huirán la tristeza y el gemido.
Those the Lord has set free will return, singing as they enter Jerusalem, wearing crowns of everlasting joy. They are overcome with thankfulness and happiness; sorrow and sadness simply disappear.
