Isaías 27
1 En aquel día el SEÑOR visitará con su espada dura, grande y fuerte, sobre el leviatán, serpiente huidora, y sobre el leviatán serpiente retuerta; y matará al dragón que está en el mar.
In that day will Jehovah punish with his sword, His hard, and great, and strong sword, The leviathan, that fleet serpent, Even the leviathan, that winding serpent; Yea, he will slay the monster, that is in the sea.
2 En aquel día cantad de la viña del vino rojo.
In that day, sing ye thus concerning the vineyard:
3 Yo, el SEÑOR, la guardo, cada momento la regaré; la guardaré de noche y de día, para que el enemigo no la visite.
“I, Jehovah, am its guardian; I will water it every moment; That no one may assault it, I will watch it day and night.
4 No hay en mí enojo. ¿Quién pondrá contra mí en batalla espinas y cardos? Yo los hollaré, los quemaré juntamente.
There is no fury in me; But let me find the thorns and thistles in battle. I will go against them, And burn them up together,
5 ¿O quién forzará mi fortaleza? Haga conmigo paz, sí, haga paz conmigo.
Unless they take hold of my protection, And with me make peace, And make peace with me.”
6 Días vendrán cuando Jacob echará raíces, florecerá y echará renuevos Israel, y la faz del mundo se llenará de fruto.
In coming days shall Jacob take root, And Israel flourish and bud forth, And fill the world with fruit.
7 ¿Acaso ha sido herido como quien lo hirió? ¿O ha sido muerto como los que lo mataron?
Did he smite Israel, as he smote those that smote him? Was he slain as those that slew him?
8 Con medida la castigarás en sus vástagos. El reprime su recio viento en el día del aire solano.
In measure, by sending her away, didst thou punish her, Taking her away in the rough tempest, in the day of the east wind.
9 Por tanto, de esta manera pues, será purgada la iniquidad de Jacob; y éste será todo el fruto, la remoción de su pecado; cuando tornare todas las piedras del altar, como piedras de cal desmenuzadas, para que no se levanten los bosques, ni las imágenes del sol.
By this, therefore, is the iniquity of Jacob expiated, And this is wholly the fruit of the removal of his sin, That He has made the stones of the altar like limestones broken in pieces, And that the images of Astarte and the sun-pillars no more stand.
10 De otra manera la ciudad fortalecida será asolada; la morada será desamparada, y dejada como un desierto; allí se apacentará el becerro, allí tendrá su majada, y acabará sus ramas.
For the fortified city is desolate, A habitation forsaken, deserted like a wilderness; There doth the calf feed, and there doth he lie down, And consume her branches.
11 Cuando sus ramas se secaren, serán quebradas, mujeres vendrán a encenderla; porque aquél no es pueblo de entendimiento. Por tanto su Hacedor no tendrá de él misericordia, ni se compadecerá de él el que lo formó.
When her boughs are withered, they are broken off; Women come, and burn them; For it was a people of no understanding; Therefore he that made him had not mercy on him, And he that formed him showed him no favor.
12 Y acontecerá en aquel día, que herirá el SEÑOR desde el álveo del río Eufrates hasta el río de Egipto, y vosotros, hijos de Israel, seréis ayuntados uno a uno.
But it shall come to pass in that day, That Jehovah shall gather fruit From the stream of the Euphrates to the river of Egypt, And ye shall be gathered, one by one, ye children of Israel!
13 Acontecerá también en aquel día, que habrá tañido con gran voz de trompeta; y vendrán los que habían sido esparcidos en la tierra de Asiria, y los que habían sido echados en tierra de Egipto, y adorarán al SEÑOR en el Monte santo, en Jerusalén.
In that day shall a great trumpet be sounded, And they shall come who are lost in the land of Assyria, And are outcasts in the land of Egypt, And shall worship Jehovah upon the holy mountain in Jerusalem.
