Génesis 33
1 Y alzando Jacob sus ojos miró, y he aquí venía Esaú, y los cuatrocientos hombres con él; entonces repartió él los niños entre Lea y Raquel y las dos siervas.
Forsothe Jacob reiside hise iyen, and seiy Esau comynge, and foure hundrid men with hym; and he departide the sones of Lia, and of Rachel, and of bothe seruauntessis.
2 Y puso las siervas y sus niños delante; luego a Lea y a sus niños; y a Raquel y a José los postreros.
And he puttide euer either handmaide, and the fre children of hem, in the bigynnyng; sotheli he puttide Lia, and her sones, in the secounde place; forsothe he puttide Rachel and Joseph the laste.
3 Y él pasó delante de ellos, y se inclinó a tierra siete veces, hasta que llegó a su hermano.
And Jacob yede bifore, and worschipide lowli to erthe seuensithis, til his brothir neiyede.
4 Y Esaú corrió a su encuentro, y le abrazó, y se echó sobre su cuello, y le besó; y lloraron.
And so Esau ran ayens his brothir, and collide hym, and Esau helde his necke, and kisside, and wepte.
5 Y alzó sus ojos, y vio las mujeres y los niños, y dijo: ¿Quiénes son éstos? Y él respondió: Son los niños que Dios ha dado a tu siervo.
And whanne the iyen weren reisid, he seiy the wymmen, and the litle children of hem, and seide, What wolen these to hem silf? and wher thei pertenen to thee? Jacob answeride, Thei ben the litle children, whiche God hath youe to me, thi seruaunt.
6 Y se llegaron las siervas, ellas y sus niños, y se inclinaron.
And the handmaydis and her sones neiyeden, and weren bowid.
7 Y vino Lea con sus niños, y se inclinaron; y después llegó José y Raquel, y también se inclinaron.
Also Lya neiyede with hir fre children; and whanne thei hadden worschipid in lijk maner, Joseph and Rachel the laste worschipeden.
8 Y él dijo: ¿Qué te propones con todas estas cuadrillas que he encontrado? Y él respondió: El hallar gracia en los ojos de mi señor.
And Esau seide, What ben these cumpanyes, whiche Y mette? Jacob answerde, That Y schulde fynde grace bifore my lord.
9 Y dijo Esaú: Suficiente tengo yo, hermano mío; sea para ti lo que es tuyo.
And he seide, My brother, Y haue ful many thingis, thi thingis be to thee.
10 Y dijo Jacob: No, yo te ruego, si he hallado ahora gracia en tus ojos, toma mi presente de mi mano, que por eso he visto tu rostro, como si hubiera visto el rostro de Dios; y hazme placer.
And Jacob seide, Y biseche, nyle thou so, but if Y foond grace in thin iyen, take thou a litil yifte of myn hondis; for Y seiy so thi face as I seiy the cheer of God;
11 Toma, te ruego, mi bendición que te es traída; porque Dios me ha hecho merced, y todo lo que hay aquí es mío. Y porfió con él, y la tomó.
be thou merciful to me, and resseyue the blessyng which Y brouyte to thee, and which blessyng God yyuynge alle thingis yaf to me. Vnnethis, while the brothir compellide,
12 Y dijo: Anda, y vamos; y yo iré delante de ti.
he resseyuede, and seide, Go we to gidere, and Y schal be felowe of thi weie.
13 Y él le dijo: Mi señor sabe que los niños son tiernos, y que tengo ovejas y vacas paridas; y si las fatigan, en un día morirán todas las ovejas.
And Jacob seide, My lord, thou knowist that Y haue litle children tendre, and scheep, and kien with calue with me, and if Y schal make hem for to trauele more in goynge, alle the flockis schulen die in o dai;
14 Pase ahora mi señor delante de su siervo, y yo me iré poco a poco al paso de la hacienda que va delante de mí, y al paso de los niños, hasta que llegue a mi señor a Seir.
my lord go bifore his seruaunt, and Y schal sue litil and litil hise steppis, as I shal se that my litle children mown, til Y come to my lord, in to Seir.
15 Y Esaú dijo: Dejaré ahora contigo de la gente que viene conmigo. Y él dijo: ¿Para qué esto? Halle yo gracia en los ojos de mi señor.
Esau answeride, Y preie thee, that of the puple which is with me, nameli felowis of thi weie dwelle. Jacob seide, It is no nede; Y haue nede to this o thing oneli, that Y fynde grace in thi siyt, my lord.
16 Así se volvió Esaú aquel día por su camino a Seir.
And so Esau turnede ayen in that dai in the weie bi which he cam, in to Seir.
17 Y Jacob partió a Sucot, y edificó allí casa para sí, e hizo cabañas para su ganado; por tanto llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Sucot.
And Jacob cam in to Sochot, where whanne he hadde bildid an hows, and hadde set tentis, he clepide the name of that place Sochot, that is, tabernaclis.
18 Y vino Jacob sano a la ciudad de Siquem, que está en la tierra de Canaán, cuando venía de Padan-aram; y se asentó delante de la ciudad.
And Jacob passide in to Salem, a citee of Sichimis, whiche is in the lond of Canaan, aftir that he turnede ayen fro Mesopotanye of Sirie, and he dwellide besidis the citee.
19 Y compró una parte del campo, donde tendió su tienda, de mano de los hijos de Hamor, padre de Siquem, por cien piezas de moneda.
And he bouyte for an hundrid lambren a part of the feeld, in which he settide tabernaclis, of the sones of Emor, fadir of Sichem.
20 Y asentó allí un altar, y lo llamó: El Fuerte Dios de Israel.
And whanne he hadde reisid an auter there, he inwardly clepide on it the strongeste God of Israel.
