1 Y estas son las cabezas de sus padres, y genealogía de aquellos que subieron conmigo de Babilonia, reinando el rey Artajerjes:
This is a list of the family leaders and genealogical records of those who came back with me from Babylon during the reign of King Artaxerxes:
2 De los hijos de Finees, Gersón; de los hijos de Itamar, Daniel; de los hijos de David, Hatús;
From the sons of Phinehas, Gershom. From the sons of Ithamar, Daniel. From the sons of David, Hattush,
3 de los hijos de Secanías y de los hijos de Paros, Zacarías, y con él, genealogía de varones, ciento cincuenta;
son of Shecaniah. From the sons of Parosh, Zechariah, and with him 150 men were registered.
4 de los hijos de Pahat-moab, Elioenai, hijo de Zeraías, y con él doscientos varones;
From the sons of Pahath-moab, Eliehoenai, son of Zerahiah, and with him 200 men.
5 de los hijos de Secanías, el hijo de Jahaziel, y con él trescientos varones;
From the sons of Zattu, Shecaniah, son of Jahaziel, and with him 300 men.

From the sons of Adonikam, those who were last, their names being Eliphelet, Jeuel, and Shemaiah, and with them 60 men.
14 y de los hijos de Bigvai, Utai y Zabud, y con ellos sesenta varones.
From the sons of Bigvai, Uthai and Zaccur, and with them 70 men.
15 Y los junté junto al río que viene a Ahava, y reposamos allí tres días; y habiendo buscado entre el pueblo y entre los sacerdotes, no hallé allí de los hijos de Leví.
I gathered the returning exiles together at the Ahava Canal. We camped there for three days while I reviewed who had come—the ordinary people, the priests, and the Levites. I discovered there wasn't a single Levite
16 Entonces despaché a Eliezer, y a Ariel, y a Semaías, y a Elnatán, y a Jarib, y Elnatán, y a Natán, y a Zacarías, y a Mesulam, principales; asimismo a Joiarib y a Elnatán, sabios;
so I sent for Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah, and Meshullam, who were leaders, and for Joiarib and Elnathan, who were men with good insight.
17 y los envié a Iddo, capitán en el lugar de Casifia, y puse en boca de ellos las palabras que habían de hablar a Iddo, y a sus hermanos los netineos en el lugar de Casifia, para que nos trajesen ministros para la Casa de nuestro Dios.
I told them to go to Iddo, the leader of the Temple servants at Casiphia, asking him and his relatives to send us ministers for the Temple of our God.
18 Y nos trajeron (según la buena mano de nuestro Dios sobre nosotros), un varón entendido de los hijos de Mahli, hijo de Leví, hijo de Israel; y a Serebías con sus hijos y sus hermanos, dieciocho;
Since our gracious God was with us, they brought us Sherebiah, a man with good insight from the sons of Mahli, son of Levi, son of Israel, together with his sons and brothers, a total of eighteen men;
19 y a Hasabías, y con él a Isaía ( Jesaías ) de los hijos de Merari, a sus hermanos y a sus hijos, veinte;
and Hashabiah, along with Jeshaiah, from the sons of Merari, and his brothers and their sons, a total of twenty men.
20 Y de los netineos, a quienes David con los príncipes puso para el ministerio de los levitas, doscientos veinte netineos, todos los cuales fueron declarados por sus nombres.
In addition they brought 220 of the Temple servants, a group appointed by David and his officials to help the Levites. These were all registered by name.
21 Y publiqué ayuno allí junto al río de Ahava, para afligirnos delante de nuestro Dios, para buscar de él camino derecho para nosotros, y para nuestros niños, y para toda nuestra hacienda.
At the Ahava Canal I called for a fast so we could confess our sins before God and ask him for a safe journey for us and our children, along with all our possessions.
22 Porque tuve vergüenza de pedir al rey tropa y gente de a caballo que nos defendiesen del enemigo en el camino; porque habíamos hablado al rey, diciendo: La mano de nuestro Dios es sobre todos los que le buscan para bien; mas su fortaleza y su furor sobre todos los que le dejan.
I had been reluctant to ask the king to give us a military escort to protect us from enemies on the way. We had told the king, “Our gracious God takes care of everyone who follows him, but shows his anger against anyone who abandons him.”
23 Ayunamos pues, y buscamos a nuestro Dios sobre esto, y él nos fue propicio.
So we fasted and asked God to protect us, and he answered our prayers.
24 Aparté luego doce de los principales de los sacerdotes, a Serebías y a Hasabías, y con ellos diez de sus hermanos;
Then I designated twelve of the leading priests, and Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brothers,
25 y les pesé la plata, y el oro, y los vasos; la ofrenda para la Casa de nuestro Dios que habían ofrecido el rey, y sus consultores, y sus príncipes, todos los que se hallaron de Israel.
and I weighed out and handed them the donations of silver and gold, and the items that the king, his counselors, his leaders, and all the people of Israel there had given for the Temple of our God.
26 Pesé, pues, en manos de ellos seiscientos cincuenta talentos de plata, y vasos de plata por cien talentos, y cien talentos de oro;
I weighed out and placed in their hands 650 talents of silver, silver Temple items weighing 100 talents, 100 talents of gold,
27 además veinte tazones de oro, por mil dracmas; y dos vasos de bronce limpio muy bueno, preciados como el oro.
20 gold bowls worth 1,000 darics, and two articles of highly-polished bronze, as valuable as gold.
28 Y les dije: Vosotros sois santidad al SEÑOR, y los vasos son santidad; y la plata y el oro ofrenda voluntaria al SEÑOR, Dios de nuestros padres.
I told them, “You are set apart for the Lord, and these Temple items are too. The silver and gold are a voluntary offering to the Lord, the God of your forefathers.
29 Velad, y guardadlos, hasta que los peséis delante de los príncipes de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, y de los príncipes de los padres de Israel en Jerusalén, en las cámaras de la Casa del SEÑOR.
You are to guard them and keep them safe until you hand them over, weighing them before the high priests, the Levites and the family leaders in Israel at Jerusalem, in the treasury rooms within the Lord's Temple.”
30 Los sacerdotes y levitas recibieron el peso de la plata y del oro y de los vasos, para traerlo a Jerusalén a la Casa de nuestro Dios.
The priests and Levites took responsibility for the silver and gold and the Temple items that had been weighed out to be brought to the Temple of our God in Jerusalem.
31 Y partimos del río de Ahava el doce del mes primero, para ir a Jerusalén; y la mano de nuestro Dios estaba sobre nosotros, el cual nos libró de mano del enemigo y del acechador en el camino.
On the twelfth day of the first month, we left the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem, and our God was with us to protect us from enemy ambushes along the way.
32 Y llegamos a Jerusalén, y reposamos allí tres días.
Eventually we arrived in Jerusalem and rested there for three days.
33 Al cuarto día fue luego pesada la plata, y el oro, y los vasos, en la Casa de nuestro Dios, por mano de Meremot hijo de Urías sacerdote, y con él Eleazar hijo de Finees; y con ellos Jozabad hijo de Jesúa, y Noadías hijo de Binúi, levitas;
On the fourth day the silver and the gold and the Temple items were weighed out in the Temple of our God and handed over to Meremoth, son of Uriah the priest, accompanied by Eleazar, son of Phinehas. Also present were the Levites, Jozabad, son of Jeshua, and Noadiah, son of Binnui.
34 por cuenta y por peso todo; y se apuntó todo aquel peso en aquel tiempo.
Everything was checked, both by number and weight, and the total weight was written down at the time.
35 Los que habían venido de la cautividad, los hijos de la transmigración, ofrecieron holocaustos al Dios de Israel, doce becerros por todo Israel, noventa y seis carneros, setenta y siete corderos, doce machos cabríos por expiación; todo en holocausto al SEÑOR.
Then the exiles who had returned from captivity sacrificed burnt offerings to the God of Israel—twelve bulls for all of Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and a sin offering of twelve goats. All were sacrificed as a burnt offering to the Lord.
36 Y dieron los despachos del rey a sus gobernadores y capitanes del otro lado del río, los cuales favorecieron al pueblo y a la casa de Dios.
They also delivered the king's decrees to the chief officers of the king and the governors of the province west of the Euphrates, who then provided assistance to the people and to God's Temple.
