Ezequiel 1
1 Y fue que a los treinta años, en el mes cuarto, a los cinco del mes, estando yo en medio de los cautivos junto al río de Quebar, los cielos se abrieron, y vi visiones de Dios.
And it happened that, in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth of the month, when I was in the midst of the captives beside the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw the visions of God.
2 A los cinco del mes, que fue en el quinto año de la transmigración del rey Joaquín,
On the fifth of the month, the same is the fifth year of the transmigration of king Joachin,
3 vino Palabra del SEÑOR a Ezequiel sacerdote, hijo de Buzi, en la tierra de los caldeos, junto al río de Quebar; y vino allí sobre él la mano del SEÑOR.
the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel, a priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans, next to the river Chebar. And the hand of the Lord was over him there.
4 Y miré, y he aquí un viento tempestuoso venía del aquilón, y una gran nube, y un fuego que venía revolviéndose, y tenía en derredor suyo un resplandor, y en medio de él, en medio del fuego una cosa que parecía como de ámbar,
And I saw, and behold, a whirlwind arrived from the north. And a great cloud, wrapped in fire and brightness, was all around it. And from its midst, that is, from the midst of the fire, there was something with the appearance of amber.
5 y en medio de ella, la figura de cuatro animales. Y éste era su parecer: había en ellos semejanza de hombre.
And in its midst, there was the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: the likeness of a man was in them.
6 Y cada uno tenía cuatro rostros, y cuatro alas.
Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.
7 Y los pies de ellos eran derechos, y la planta de sus pies como la planta de pie de becerro; y centelleaban a manera de bronce muy bruñido.
Their feet were straight feet, and the sole of their foot was like the sole of the foot of a calf, and they sparkled with the appearance of glowing brass.
8 Y debajo de sus alas, a sus cuatro lados, tenían manos de hombre; y sus rostros y sus alas por los cuatro lados.
And they had the hands of a man under their wings on the four sides. And they had faces with the wings on the four sides.
9 Con las alas se juntaban el uno al otro. No se volvían cuando andaban; cada uno caminaba en derecho de su rostro.
And their wings were joined to one another. They did not turn as they went. Instead, each one advanced before his face.
10 Y la figura de sus rostros era rostros de hombre; y rostros de león a la parte derecha en los cuatro; y a la izquierda rostros de buey en los cuatro; asimismo había en los cuatro rostros de águila.
But as for the likeness of their face, there was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right of each of the four, then the face of an ox on the left of each of the four, and the face of an eagle above each of the four.
11 Tales eran sus rostros; y tenían sus alas extendidas por encima, cada uno dos, las cuales se juntaban; y las otras dos cubrían sus cuerpos.
Their faces and their wings were extended above: two wings of each one were joined together, and two covered their bodies.
12 Y cada uno caminaba en derecho de su rostro; hacia donde el Espíritu diera que anduviesen, andaban; cuando andaban, no se volvían.
And each one of them advanced before his face. Wherever the impetus of the spirit was to go, there they went. And they did not turn as they advanced.
13 En cuanto a la semejanza de los animales, su parecer era como de carbones de fuego encendidos, como parecer de hachones encendidos: el fuego discurría entre los animales, y el resplandor del fuego; y del fuego salían relámpagos.
And as for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like that of burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps. This was the vision dashing in the midst of the living creatures, a bright fire, with lightning going forth from the fire.
14 Y los animales corrían y tornaban a semejanza de relámpagos.
And the living creatures went and returned like flashes of lightning.
15 Y estando yo mirando los animales, he aquí una rueda en la tierra, con sus cuatro haces junto a los animales.
And as I beheld the living creatures, there appeared above the earth, next to the living creatures, one wheel having four faces.
16 Y el parecer de las ruedas y su hechura parecía de Tarsis ( o de Turquesa ). Y todas cuatro tenían una misma semejanza: su apariencia y su hechura como es una rueda en medio de otra rueda.
And the appearance of the wheels and their work was like the appearance of the sea. And each of the four were similar to one another. And their appearance and work was like a wheel in the center of a wheel.
17 Cuando andaban, andaban sobre sus cuatro costados; no se volvían cuando andaban.
Going forth, they went by means of their four parts. And they did not turn as they went.
18 Y sus costillas eran altas y temerosas, y llenas de ojos alrededor en todas cuatro.
Also, the size and height and appearance of the wheels was dreadful. And the entire body was full of eyes all around each of the four.
19 Y cuando los animales andaban, las ruedas andaban junto a ellos; y cuando los animales se levantaban de la tierra, las ruedas se levantaban.
And when the living creatures advanced, the wheels advanced together with them. And when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels, too, were lifted up at the same time.
20 Hacia donde el espíritu diera que anduviesen, andaban; hacia donde diera el espíritu que anduviesen, las ruedas también se levantaban tras ellos; porque el espíritu de los animales estaba en las ruedas.
Wherever the spirit went, as the spirit was going forth to that place, the wheels, too, were lifted up together, so as to follow them. For the spirit of life was in the wheels.
21 Cuando ellos andaban, andaban ellas; y cuando ellos se paraban, se paraban ellas; y cuando se levantaban de la tierra, las ruedas se levantaban tras ellos; porque el espíritu de los animales estaba en las ruedas.
When going forth, they went forth, and when standing still, they stood still. And when they were lifted up from the earth, the wheels, too, were lifted up together, so as to follow them. For the spirit of life was in the wheels.
22 Y sobre las cabezas de cada animal aparecía un cielo a manera de un cristal maravilloso, extendido encima sobre sus cabezas.
And above the heads of the living creatures was the likeness of a firmament: similar to crystal, but dreadful to behold, and extending over their heads from above.
23 Y debajo del cielo estaban las alas de ellos derechas la una a la otra; a cada uno dos, y otras dos con que se cubrían sus cuerpos.
And their wings were straight under the firmament, one toward the other. One of them was covered by two wings on his body, and the other was covered similarly.
24 Y oí el sonido de sus alas cuando andaban, como sonido de muchas aguas, como la voz del Omnipotente, cuando andaban; la voz de la palabra, como la voz de un ejército. Cuando se paraban, aflojaban sus alas.
And I heard the sound of their wings, like the sound of many waters, like the sound of the sublime God. When they walked, it was like the sound of a multitude, like the sound of an army. And when they stood still, their wings were let down.
25 Y se oía voz de arriba del cielo que estaba sobre sus cabezas, cuando se paraban y aflojaban sus alas,
For when a voice came from above the firmament, which was over their heads, they stood still, and they put down their wings.
26 Y sobre el cielo que estaba sobre sus cabezas, había una figura de un trono que parecía de piedra de zafiro; y sobre la figura del trono había una semejanza que parecía de hombre sentado sobre él.
And above the firmament, which was suspended over their heads, there was the likeness of a throne, with the appearance of the sapphire stone. And over the likeness of the throne, there was a likeness with the appearance of a man above it.
27 Y vi una cosa que parecía como de ámbar, que parecía que había fuego dentro de ella, la cual se veía desde sus lomos para arriba; y desde sus lomos para abajo, vi que parecía como fuego, y que tenía resplandor alrededor
And I saw something with the appearance of amber, with the likeness of fire within it and all around it. And from his waist and upward, and from his waist downward, I saw something with the appearance of fire shining all around.
28 que parecía el arco del cielo que está en las nubes el día que llueve, así era el parecer del resplandor alrededor. Esta fue la visión de la semejanza de la gloria del SEÑOR. Y yo lo vi, y caí sobre mi rostro, y oí voz de uno que hablaba.
There was the appearance of the rainbow, as when it is in a cloud on a rainy day. This was the appearance of the splendor on every side.
