2 Samuel 23

1 Estas son las postreras palabras de David. Dijo David hijo de Isaí, dijo aquel varón que fue levantado alto, el ungido del Dios de Jacob, el dulce cantor de Israel:

These also be the last wordes of Dauid, Dauid the sonne of Ishai saith, euen the man who was set vp on hie, the Anointed of the God of Iacob, and the sweete singer of Israel saith,

2 (El Espíritu del SEÑOR ha hablado por mí, y su palabra ha sido en mi lengua.

The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his worde was in my tongue.

3 El Dios de Israel me ha dictado, el Fuerte de Israel habló): Señoreador de los hombres, justo señoreador en temor de Dios.

The God of Israel spake to me, ye strength of Israel saide, Thou shalt beare rule ouer men, being iust, and ruling in the feare of God.

4 Y como la luz de la mañana cuando sale el sol, de la mañana resplandeciente sin nubes; como resplandor por llovizna sobre la yerba de la tierra.

Euen as the morning light when the sunne riseth, the morning, I say, without cloudes, so shall mine house be, and not as the grasse of the earth is by the bright raine.

5 ¿No será así mi casa para con Dios? bien que a toda mi salud, y a toda mi voluntad no se hará producir todavía. Mas él ha hecho conmigo pacto perpetuo ordenado en todas las cosas, y será guardado;

For so shall not mine house be with God: for he hath made with me an euerlasting couenant, perfite in all pointes, and sure: therefore all mine health and whole desire is, that he will not make it growe so.

6 mas los de Belial serán todos ellos como espinas arrancadas, las cuales nadie toma con la mano;

But the wicked shalbe euery one as thornes thrust away, because they can not be taken with handes.

7 sino que el que quiere tocar en ellas, se arma de hierro y de asta de lanza, y son quemadas en su lugar.

But the man that shall touch them, must be defensed with yron, or with the shaft of a speare: and they shall be burnt with fire in the same place.

8 Estos son los nombres de los valientes que tuvo David: El que se sentaba en cátedra de sabiduría, principal de los tres: Adino el eznita, que en una ocasión se halló haber matado ochocientos enemigos.

These be the names of the mightie men whome Dauid had. He that sate in the seate of wisedome, being chiefe of the princes, was Adino of Ezni, he slewe eight hundreth at one time.

9 Después de éste fue Eleazar, hijo de Dodo de Ahohi, entre de los tres valientes que estaban con David, cuando desafiaron a los filisteos que se habían juntado allí a la batalla, y subieron los de Israel.

And after him was Eleazar the sonne of Dodo, the sonne of Ahohi, one of the three worthies with Dauid, when they defied the Philistims gathered there to battel, when the men of Israel were gone vp.

10 Este, levantándose, hirió a los filisteos, hasta que su mano se cansó, y quedó pegada su mano a la espada. Aquel día el SEÑOR hizo gran salud; y se volvió el pueblo en pos de él solamente a tomar el despojo.

He arose and smote the Philistims vntill his hande was wearie, and his hande claue vnto the sworde: and the Lord gaue great victorie the same day, and the people returned after him onely to spoyle.

11 Después de éste fue Sama, hijo de Age araita; que habiéndose juntado los filisteos en una aldea, había allí una heredad de tierra llena de lentejas, y el pueblo había huido delante de los filisteos.

After him was Shammah the sonne of Age the Hararite: for the Philistims assembled at a towne, where was a piece of a fielde full of lentils, and the people fled from the Philistims.

12 El entonces se paró en medio de la heredad de tierra, y la defendió, e hirió a los filisteos; y el SEÑOR hizo una gran salud.

But he stoode in the middes of the fielde, and defended it, and slewe the Philistims: so the Lord gaue great victorie.

13 Estos tres que eran de los treinta principales descendieron y vinieron en tiempo de la siega a David a la cueva de Adulam; y el campamento de los filisteos estaba en el valle de Refaim.

Afterward three of the thirtie captaines went downe, and came to Dauid in the haruest time vnto the caue of Adullam, and the hoste of the Philistims pitched in the valley of Rephaim.

14 David entonces estaba en la fortaleza, y la guarnición de los filisteos estaba en Belén.

And Dauid was then in an holde, and the garison of ye Philistims was then in Beth-lehem.

15 Y David tuvo deseo, y dijo: ¡Quién me diera a beber del agua de la cisterna de Belén, que está a la puerta!

And Dauid longed, and said, Oh, that one would giue me to drinke of the water of the well of Beth-lehem, which is by the gate.

16 Entonces estos tres valientes rompieron por el campamento de los filisteos, y sacaron agua de la cisterna de Belén, que estaba a la puerta; y tomaron, y la trajeron a David; mas él no la quiso beber, sino la derramó al SEÑOR, diciendo:

The the three mightie brake into the host of the Philistims, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem that was by the gate, and tooke and brought it to Dauid, who woulde not drinke thereof, but powred it for an offring vnto ye Lord,

17 Lejos sea de mí, oh SEÑOR, que yo haga esto. ¿ He de beber yo la sangre de los varones que fueron con peligro de su vida? Y no quiso beberla. Estos tres valientes hicieron esto.

And said, O Lord, be it farre from me, that I should doe this. Is not this the blood of the men that went in ieopardie of their liues? therefore he woulde not drinke it. These things did these three mightie men.

18 Y Abisai hermano de Joab, hijo de Sarvia, fue el principal de tres; el cual alzó su lanza contra trescientos, los cuales mató; y tuvo nombre entre los tres.

And Abishai the brother of Ioab, the sonne of Zeruiah, was chiefe among the three, and he lifted vp his speare against three hundreth, and slewe them, and he had the name among the three.

19 El era el más noble de los tres, y el primero de ellos; mas no llegó a los tres primeros.

For he was most excellent of the three, and was their captaine, but he attained not vnto the first three.

20 Después, Benaía hijo de Joiada, hijo de un varón esforzado, grande en hechos, de Cabseel. Este hirió dos leones de Moab: y él mismo descendió, e hirió un león en medio de un foso en el tiempo de la nieve:

And Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada the sonne of a valiant man, which had done many actes, and was of Kabzeel, slewe two strong men of Moab: he went downe also, and slewe a lyon in the middes of a pit in the time of snowe.

21 También hirió él a un egipcio, hombre de grande estatura; y tenía el egipcio una lanza en su mano; mas descendió a él con un palo, y arrebató al egipcio la lanza de la mano, y lo mató con su propia lanza.

And he slewe an Egyptian a man of great stature, and the Egyptian had a speare in his hande: but he went downe to him with a staffe, and plucked the speare out of the Egyptians hand, and slewe him with his owne speare.

22 Esto hizo Benaía hijo de Joiada, y tuvo nombre entre los tres valientes.

These things did Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada, and had the name among the three worthies.

23 De los treinta fue el más noble; pero no llegó a los tres primeros. Y lo puso David en su consejo.

He was honourable among thirtie, but he atteined not to the first three: and Dauid made him of his counsell.

24 Asael hermano de Joab fue de los treinta; Elhanán hijo de Dodo de Belén;

Asahel the brother of Ioab was one of the thirtie: Elhanan the sonne of Dodo of Beth-lehem:

25 Sama de Harodi, Elica de Harodi;

Shammah the Harodite: Elika ye Harodite:

26 Heles de Palti, Ira, hijo de Iques, de Tecoa;

Helez the Paltite: Ira the sonne of Ikkesh the Tekoite:

27 Abiezer de Anatot, Mebunai de Husa;

Abiezer the Anethothite: Mebunnai the Husathite:

28 Salmón de Hahoh, Maharai de Netofat;

Zalmon an Ahohite: Maharai the Netophathite:

29 Helec hijo de Baana de Netofat, Ittai hijo de Ribai de Gabaa de los hijos de Benjamín;

Heleb the sonne of Baanah a Netophathite: Ittai the sonne of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Beniamin:

30 Benaía piratonita, Hidai del arroyo de Gaas;

Benaiah the Pirathonite: Hiddai of the riuer of Gaash:

31 Abi-albón de Arbat, Azmavet de Barhum;

Abi-albon the Arbathite: Azmaueth the Barhumite:

32 Eliaba de Saalbón, Jonatán de los hijos de Jasén;

Elihaba the Shaalbonite: of the sonnes of Iashen, Ionathan:

33 Sama de Arar, Ahíam hijo de Sarar de Arar.

Shammah the Hararite: Ahiam the sonne of Sharar the Hamrite:

34 Elifelet hijo de Ahasbai hijo de Maaca; Eliam hijo de Ahitofel de Gelón;

Eliphelet the sonne of Ahasbai the sonne of Maachathi: Eliam the sonne of Ahithophel the Gilonite:

35 Hesrai del Carmelo, Paarai de Arbi;

Hezrai the Carmelite: Paarai the Arbite:

36 Igal hijo de Natán de Soba, Bani de Gadi;

Igal the sonne of Nathan of Zobah: Bani the Gadite:

37 Selec de Amón, Naharai de Beerot, escudero de Joab hijo de Sarvia;

Zelek the Ammonite: Naharai the Becrothite, the armour bearer of Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah:

38 Ira de Itri, Gareb de Itri;

Ira the Ithrite: Gareb the Ithrite:

39 Urías heteo. Entre todos treinta y siete.

Uriiah the Hittite, thirtie and seuen in all.
