2 Crónicas 33
1 De doce años era Manasés cuando comenzó a reinar, y cincuenta y cinco años reinó en Jerusalén.
Twelve years old was Manasseh when he became king, and fifty and five years did he reign in Jerusalem.
2 E hizo lo malo en ojos del SEÑOR, conforme a las abominaciones de los gentiles que había echado el SEÑOR delante de los hijos de Israel.
And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, after the abominable acts of the nations whom the Lord had driven out from before the children of Israel.
3 Porque él reedificó los altos que Ezequías su padre había derribado, y levantó altares a los Baales, e hizo bosques, y adoró a todo el ejército de los cielos, y a él sirvió.
And he built again the high-places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he erected altars for the Be'alim, and made Asheroth, and bowed himself down to all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 Edificó también altares en la Casa del SEÑOR, de la cual había dicho el SEÑOR: En Jerusalén será mi Nombre perpetuamente.
And he built altars in the house of the Lord, whereof the Lord had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
5 Edificó asimismo altares a todo el ejército de los cielos en los dos atrios de la Casa del SEÑOR.
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
6 Y pasó sus hijos por fuego en el valle de los hijos de Hinom; y miraba en los tiempos, miraba en agüeros, y era dado a adivinaciones, consultaba pitones y encantadores; multiplicó en hacer lo malo en ojos del SEÑOR, para irritarle.
And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of Ben-hinnom: he also observed times, and employed enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with [those of] a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he did much that is evil in the eyes of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
7 A más de esto puso una imagen de fundición, que hizo, en la Casa de Dios, de la cual había dicho Dios a David y a Salomón su hijo: En esta Casa y en Jerusalén, la cual yo elegí sobre todas las tribus de Israel, pondré mi nombre para siempre;
And he placed a carved image of the idol which he had made in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have made choice of out of all the tribes of Israel, will I place my name for ever.
8 y nunca más quitaré el pie de Israel de la tierra que yo entregué a vuestros padres, a condición que guarden y hagan todas las cosas que yo les he mandado, toda la ley, estatutos, y derechos, por mano de Moisés.
Nor will I any more remove the foot of Israel from off the land which I have appointed for your fathers; but only if they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
9 Así que Manasés engañó a Judá y a los moradores de Jerusalén, para hacer más mal que los gentiles que el SEÑOR destruyó delante de los hijos de Israel.
But Menasseh led Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem astray, to do worse than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed from before the children of Israel.
10 Y habló el SEÑOR a Manasés y a su pueblo, mas ellos no escucharon;
And the Lord spoke to Menasseh, and to his people; but they listened not.
11 por lo cual el SEÑOR trajo contra ellos los príncipes del ejército del rey de los asirios, los cuales aprisionaron con grillos a Manasés, y atado con dos cadenas lo llevaron a Babilonia.
Wherefore the Lord brought over them the captains of the army belonging to the king of Assyria: and they took Menasseh prisoner with chains, and bound him with fetters, and led him off to Babylon.
12 Mas luego que fue puesto en angustias, oró ante el SEÑOR su Dios, humillado grandemente en la presencia del Dios de sus padres.
And when he was in distress, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.
13 Y cuando oró a él, fue oído; porque él oyó su oración, y lo volvió a Jerusalén, a su reino. Entonces conoció Manasés que el SEÑOR era Dios.
And he prayed unto him, and he permitted himself to be entreated by him, and heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem, unto his kingdom. Then did Menasseh feel conscious that the Lord is indeed the [true] God.
14 Después de esto edificó el muro de afuera de la ciudad de David, al occidente de Gihón en el valle, y a la entrada de la puerta del pescado, y cercó a Ofel, y lo alzó muy alto; y puso capitanes de ejército en todas las ciudades fuertes por Judá.
And after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gichon, in the valley, even to the entrance of the fish-gate, and about the hill-fort, and raised it up to a very great height; and he placed captains of the army in all the fortified cities of Judah.
15 Asimismo quitó los dioses ajenos, y el ídolo de la Casa del SEÑOR, y todos los altares que había edificado en el monte de la Casa del SEÑOR y en Jerusalén, y los echó fuera de la ciudad.
And he removed the strange gods and the idol out of the house of the Lord, and all the altars that he had built on the mount of the house of the Lord, and in Jerusalem, and he cast them forth to without the city.
16 Y reparó el altar del SEÑOR, y sacrificó sobre él sacrificios pacíficos y de alabanza; y mandó a Judá que sirviesen al SEÑOR Dios de Israel.
And he rebuilt the altar of the Lord, and sacrificed thereupon peace-offerings and thanksgiving-offerings, and he ordered Judah to serve the Lord the God of Israel.
17 Pero el pueblo aun sacrificaba en los altos, aunque al SEÑOR su Dios.
Nevertheless the people sacrificed on the high-places, but only unto the Lord their God.
18 Lo demás de los hechos de Manasés, y su oración a su Dios, y las palabras de los videntes que le hablaron en nombre del SEÑOR Dios de Israel, he aquí todo está escrito en los hechos de los reyes de Israel.
And the rest of the acts of Menasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spoke to him in the name of the Lord the God of Israel, behold, they are in the history of the kings of Israel.
19 Su oración también, y cómo fue oído, todos sus pecados, y su prevaricación, los lugares donde edificó altos y había puesto bosques e ídolos antes que se humillase, he aquí estas cosas están escritas en las palabras de los videntes.
His prayer also, and [how God] was entreated of him, and all his sins and his faithlessness, and the places whereon he built high-places, and set up the Asherim and the graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they are written in the history of Chozai.
20 Y durmió Manasés con sus padres, y lo sepultaron en su casa; y reinó en su lugar Amón su hijo.
And Menasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house. And Amon his son became king in his stead.
21 De veintidós años era Amón cuando comenzó a reinar, y dos años reinó en Jerusalén.
Two and twenty years old was Amon when he became king, and two years did he reign in Jerusalem.
22 E hizo lo malo en ojos del SEÑOR, como había hecho Manasés su padre; porque a todos los ídolos que su padre Manasés había hecho, sacrificó y sirvió Amón.
And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, as Menasseh his father had done; and unto all the carved images which Menasseh his father had made did Amon sacrifice, and them he served;
23 Mas nunca se humilló delante del SEÑOR, como se humilló Manasés su padre; antes aumentó el pecado.
But he did not humble himself before the Lord, as Menasseh his father had humbled himself; for he, Amon, made his guiltiness great.
24 Y conspiraron contra él sus siervos, y lo mataron en su casa.
And his servants conspired against him, and put him to death in his own house.
25 Mas el pueblo de la tierra hirió a todos los que habían conspirado contra el rey Amón; y el pueblo de la tierra puso por rey en su lugar a Josías su hijo.
But the people of the land slew all those that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
