1 Pedro 2
1 Habiendo pues dejado toda malicia, y todo engaño, y fingimientos, y envidias, y todas las murmuraciones,
Therfor putte ye awei al malice, and al gile, and feynyngis, and enuyes, and alle bacbityngis;
2 desead, como niños recién nacidos, la leche racional, y que es sin engaño, para que por ella crezcáis en salud,
as now borun yonge children, resonable, with out gile, coueite ye mylk, that in it ye wexe in to helthe; if netheles ye han tastid,
3 si empero habéis gustado que el Señor es benigno;
that the Lord is swete.
4 al cual allegándoos (que es la Piedra viva, reprobada ciertamente de los hombres, pero elegida de Dios, preciosa),
And neiye ye to hym, that is a lyuyng stoon, and repreuyd of men, but chosun of God, and onourid;
5 vosotros también, como piedras vivas, son edificados una casa espiritual, y un sacerdocio santo, para ofrecer sacrificios espirituales, agradables a Dios por Jesús, el Cristo.
and ye silf as quyk stoonys be ye aboue bildid in to spiritual housis, and an hooli preesthod, to offre spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God bi Jhesu Crist.
6 Por lo cual también contiene la Escritura: He aquí, pongo en Sión la principal Piedra de la esquina, escogida, preciosa: Y el que creyere en ella, no será confundido.
For which thing the scripture seith, Lo! Y schal sette in Syon the hiyeste corner stoon, chosun and preciouse; and he that schal belieue in hym, schal not be confoundid.
7 Es pues honor a vosotros que creéis; mas para los desobedientes: La Piedra que los edificadores reprobaron, esta fue hecha la cabeza de la esquina;
Therfor onour to you that bileuen; but to men that bileuen not, the stoon whom the bilderis repreuyden, this is maad in to the heed of the corner; and the stoon of hirtyng,
8 Y: Piedra de tropiezo, y piedra de escándalo, a aquellos que tropiezan en la Palabra, y no creen en aquello para lo cual fueron ordenados.
and stoon of sclaundre, to hem that offenden to the word, nethir bileuen it, in which thei ben set.
9 Mas vosotros sois el linaje escogido, real sacerdocio, nación santa, pueblo adquirido, para que mostréis las virtudes de aquel que os ha llamado de las tinieblas a su luz admirable.
But ye ben a chosun kyn, a kyngli preesthod, hooli folc, a puple of purchasing, that ye telle the vertues of hym, that clepide you fro derknessis in to his wondirful liyt.
10 Vosotros, que en el tiempo pasado no erais pueblo, mas ahora sois pueblo de Dios; que en el tiempo pasado no habíais alcanzado misericordia, mas ahora habéis ya alcanzado misericordia.
Which sum tyme were not a puple of God, but now ye ben the puple of God; which hadden not merci, but now ye han merci.
11 Amados, yo os ruego como a extranjeros y peregrinos, que os abstengáis de los deseos carnales que batallan contra el alma,
Moost dere, Y biseche you, as comelyngis and pilgrymys, to absteine you fro fleischli desiris, that fiyten ayens the soule;
12 y tened vuestra conversación honesta entre los gentiles; para que, en lo que ellos murmuran de vosotros como de malhechores, siendo testigos de sus buenas obras, glorifiquen a Dios en el día de la visitación, estimándoos.
and haue ye youre conuersacioun good among hethene men, that in that thing that thei bacbite of you, as of mysdoeris, thei biholden you of good werkis, and glorifie God in the dai of visitacioun.
13 Sed pues sujetos a toda ordenación humana por Dios, ya sea a rey, como a superior,
Be ye suget to ech creature, for God; ethir to the kyng, as to hym that is hiyer in state,
14 y a a los gobernadores, como de él enviados para venganza de los malhechores, y para loor de los que hacen bien.
ethir to duykis, as to thilke that ben sent of hym to the veniaunce of mysdoers, and to the preisyng of good men.
15 Porque ésta es la voluntad de Dios: que haciendo bien, hagáis callar la ignorancia de los hombres vanos;
For so is the wille of God, that ye do wel, and make the vnkunnyngnesse of vnprudent men to be doumb.
16 como estando en libertad, y no como teniendo la libertad por cobertura de malicia, sino como siervos de Dios.
As fre men, and not as hauynge fredom the keuering of malice, but as the seruauntis of God.
17 Honrad a todos. Amad la fraternidad. Temed a Dios. Honrad al rey.
Onoure ye alle men, loue ye brithirhod, drede ye God, onoure ye the king.
18 Vosotros siervos, sed sujetos con todo temor a vuestros amos; no solamente a los buenos y humanos, sino también a los injustos.
Seruauntis, be ye sugetis in al drede to lordis, not oneli to good and to mylde, but also to tyrauntis.
19 Porque esto es debido a la gracia, si alguno a causa de la conciencia que tiene delante de Dios, sufre molestias padeciendo injustamente.
For this is grace, if for conscience of God ony man suffrith heuynessis, and suffrith vniustli.
20 Porque ¿qué gloria es, si pecando vosotros sois abofeteados, y lo sufrís? Mas si haciendo bien sois afligidos, y lo sufrís, esto ciertamente es debido a la gracia de Dios.
For what grace is it, if ye synnen, and ben buffatid, and suffren? But if ye don wel, and suffren pacientli, this is grace anentis God.
21 Porque para esto sois llamados; pues que también el Cristo fue afligido por nosotros, dejándonos ejemplo, para que vosotros sigáis sus pisadas;
For to this thing ye ben clepid. For also Crist suffride for vs, and lefte ensaumple to you, that ye folewe the steppis of hym.
22 el cual no hizo pecado; ni fue hallado engaño en su boca;
Which dide not synne, nethir gile was foundun in his mouth.
23 quien cuando le maldecían no retornaba maldición, y cuando padecía, no amenazaba, sino remitía la causa al que juzga justamente;
And whanne he was cursid, he curside not; whanne he suffride, he manasside not; but he bitook hym silf to hym, that demyde hym vniustli.
24 él mismo llevó nuestros pecados en su cuerpo sobre el madero, para que nosotros siendo muertos a los pecados, vivamos a la justicia, por cuya herida habéis sido sanados.
And he hym silf bar oure synnes in his bodi on a tre, that we be deed to synnes, and lyue to riytwisnesse, bi whos wan wounde ye ben heelid.
25 Porque vosotros erais como ovejas descarriadas; mas ahora sois ya convertidos al Pastor y Obispo de vuestras almas.
For ye weren as scheep errynge, but ye ben now turned to the schipherde, and bischop of youre soulis.
