Salmos 97
1 JEHOVÁ reinó: regocíjese la tierra: alégrense las muchas islas.
This is to David, when his land was restored to him. The Lord has reigned, let the earth exult. Let the many islands rejoice.
2 Nube y oscuridad alrededor de él: justicia y juicio son el asiento de su trono.
Clouds and mist are all around him. Justice and judgment are corrections from his throne.
3 Fuego irá delante de él, y abrasará en derredor sus enemigos.
A fire will precede him, and it will enflame his enemies all around.
4 Sus relámpagos alumbraron el mundo: la tierra vió, y estremecióse.
His lightnings have enlightened the whole world. The earth saw, and it was shaken.
5 Los montes se derritieron como cera delante de Jehová, delante del Señor de toda la tierra.
The mountains flowed like wax before the face of the Lord, before the face of the Lord of all the earth.
6 Los cielos denunciaron su justicia, y todos los pueblos vieron su gloria.
The heavens announced his justice, and all peoples saw his glory.
7 Avergüéncense todos los que sirven á las imágenes de talla, los que se alaban de los ídolos: los dioses todos á él se encorven.
May all those who adore graven images be confounded, along with those who glory in their false images. All you his Angels: Adore him.
8 Oyó Sión, y alegróse; y las hijas de Judá, oh Jehová, se gozaron por tus juicios.
Zion heard, and was glad. And the daughters of Judah exulted because of your judgments, O Lord.
9 Porque tú, Jehová, eres alto sobre toda la tierra: eres muy ensalzado sobre todos los dioses.
For you are the Most High Lord over all the earth. You are greatly exalted above all gods.
10 Los que á Jehová amáis, aborreced el mal: guarda él las almas de sus santos; de mano de los impíos los libra.
You who love the Lord: hate evil. The Lord watches over the souls of his holy ones. He will free them from the hand of the sinner.
11 Luz está sembrada para el justo, y alegría para los rectos de corazón.
The light has risen for the just, and joy for the upright of heart.
12 Alegraos, justos, en Jehová: y alabad la memoria de su santidad.
Rejoice in the Lord, you just ones, and confess to the memory of his sanctuary.
