1 Y ACONTECIÓ después de la muerte de Josué, que los hijos de Israel consultaron á Jehová, diciendo: ¿Quién subirá por nosotros el primero á pelear contra los Cananeos?
And it was after [the] death of Joshua and they enquired [the] people of Israel by Yahweh saying who? will he go up for us against the Canaanite[s] at the first to engage in battle against him.
2 Y Jehová respondió: Judá subirá; he aquí que yo he entregado la tierra en sus manos.
And he said Yahweh Judah he will go up here! I have given the land in hand his.
3 Y Judá dijo á Simeón su hermano: Sube conmigo á mi suerte, y peleemos contra el Cananeo, y yo también iré contigo á tu suerte. Y Simeón fué con él.
And he said Judah to Simeon brother his come up with me in lot my so let us fight against the Canaanite[s] and I will go also I with you in lot your and he went with him Simeon.
4 Y subió Judá, y Jehová entregó en sus manos al Cananeo y al Pherezeo; y de ellos hirieron en Bezec diez mil hombres.
And he went up Judah and he gave Yahweh the Canaanite[s] and the Perizzite[s] in hand their and they defeated them at Bezek ten thousand man.
5 Y hallaron á Adoni-bezec en Bezec, y pelearon contra él: é hirieron al Cananeo y al Pherezeo.
And they found Adoni-Bezek at Bezek and they fought against him and they defeated the Canaanite[s] and the Perizzite[s].
6 Mas Adoni-bezec huyó; y siguiéronle, y prendiéronle, y cortáronle los pulgares de las manos y de los pies.
And he fled Adoni-Bezek and they pursued after him and they seized him and they cut off [the] thumbs of hands his and feet his.
7 Entonces dijo Adoni-bezec: Setenta reyes, cortados los pulgares de sus manos y de sus pies, cogían [las migajas] debajo de mi mesa: como yo hice, así me ha pagado Dios. Y metiéronle en Jerusalem, donde murió.
And he said Adoni-Bezek seventy - kings [the] thumbs of hands their and feet their cut off they were gathering up under table my just as I have done so he has repaid to me God and they brought him Jerusalem and he died there.
8 Y habían combatido los hijos de Judá á Jerusalem, y la habían tomado, y metido á cuchillo, y puesto á fuego la ciudad.
And they fought [the] descendants of Judah against Jerusalem and they captured it and they struck it to [the] mouth of [the] sword and the city they sent in fire.
9 Después los hijos de Judá descendieron para pelear contra el Cananeo que habitaba en las montañas, y al mediodía, y en los llanos.
And after they went down [the] descendants of Judah to fight against the Canaanite[s] [who] dwelt of the hill country and the Negev and the Shephelah.
10 Y partió Judá contra el Cananeo que habitaba en Hebrón, la cual se llamaba antes Chîriath-arba; é hirieron á Sesai, y á Ahiman, y á Talmai.
And he went Judah against the Canaanite[s] who dwelt in Hebron and [the] name of Hebron before [was] Kiriath Arba and they defeated Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai.
11 Y de allí fué á los que habitaban en Debir, que antes se llamaba Chîriath-sepher.
And he went from there against [the] inhabitants of Debir and [the] name of Debir before [was] Kiriath Sepher.
12 Y dijo Caleb: El que hiriere á Chîriath-sepher, y la tomare, yo le daré á Axa mi hija por mujer.
And he said Caleb [the one] who he will strike Kiriath Sepher and he will capture it and I will give to him Achsah daughter my to a wife.
13 Y tomóla Othoniel hijo de Cenez, hermano menor de Caleb: y él le dió á Axa su hija por mujer.
And he captured it Othniel [the] son of Kenaz [the] brother of Caleb young more than him and he gave to him Achsah daughter his to a wife.
14 Y cuando la llevaban, persuadióle que pidiese á su padre un campo. Y ella se apeó del asno, y Caleb le dijo: ¿Qué tienes?
And it was when came she and she incited him to ask from with father her the field and she went down from on the donkey and he said to her Caleb what? [is] to you.
15 Ella entonces le respondió: Dame una bendición: que pues me has dado tierra de secadal, me des también fuentes de aguas. Entonces Caleb le dió las fuentes de arriba y las fuentes de abajo.
And she said to him give! to me a blessing for [the] land of the Negev you have given to me and you will give to me springs of water and he gave to her Caleb springs upper and springs lower.
16 Y los hijos de Cineo, suegro de Moisés, subieron de la ciudad de las palmas con los hijos de Judá al desierto de Judá, que está al mediodía de Arad: y fueron y habitaron con el pueblo.
And [the] descendants of [the] Kenite [the] father-in-law of Moses they went up from [the] city of the palm trees with [the] descendants of Judah [the] wilderness of Judah which [is] in [the] Negev Arad and he went and he dwelt with the people.
17 Y fué Judá á su hermano Simeón, é hirieron al Cananeo que habitaba en Sephath, y asoláronla: y pusieron por nombre á la ciudad, Horma.
And he went Judah with Simeon brother his and they attacked the Canaanite[s] [who] dwelt of Zephath and they totally destroyed it and he called [the] name of the city Hormah.
18 Tomó también Judá á Gaza con su término, y á Ascalón con su término, y á Ecrón con su término.
And he captured Judah Gaza and territory its and Ashkelon and territory its and Ekron and territory its.
19 Y fué Jehová con Judá, y echó á los de las montañas; mas no pudo echar á los que habitaban en los llanos, los cuales tenían carros herrados.
And he was Yahweh (with *L(abh)*) Judah and it took possession of the hill country for not to dispossess [the] inhabitants of the valley for chariotry of iron [belonged] to them.
20 Y dieron Hebrón á Caleb, como Moisés había dicho: y él echó de allí tres hijos de Anac.
And people gave to Caleb Hebron just as he had said Moses and he dispossessed from there three [the] sons of Anak.
21 Mas al Jebuseo que habitaba en Jerusalem, no echaron los hijos de Benjamín, y así el Jebuseo habitó con los hijos de Benjamín en Jerusalem hasta hoy.
And the Jebusite[s] [who] dwelt of Jerusalem not they dispossessed [the] descendants of Benjamin and he has dwelt the Jebusite[s] with [the] descendants of Benjamin in Jerusalem until the day this.
22 También los de la casa de José subieron á Beth-el; y fué Jehová con ellos.
And they went up [the] house of Joseph also they Beth-el and Yahweh [was] with them.
23 Y los de la casa de José pusieron espías en Beth-el, la cual ciudad antes se llamaba Luz.
And they caused to spy out [the] house of Joseph at Beth-el and [the] name of the city before [was] Luz.
24 Y los que espiaban vieron un hombre que salía de la ciudad, y dijéronle: Muéstranos ahora la entrada de la ciudad, y haremos contigo misericordia.
And they saw those [who] watched a man coming out from the city and they said to him show us please [the] entrance of the city and we will do with you loyalty.
25 Y él les mostró la entrada á la ciudad, é hiriéronla á filo de espada; mas dejaron á aquel hombre con toda su familia.
And he showed them [the] entrance of the city and they struck the city to [the] mouth of [the] sword and the man and all family his they let go.
26 Y fuese el hombre á la tierra de los Hetheos, y edificó una ciudad, á la cual llamó Luz: [y] este es su nombre hasta hoy.
And he went the man [the] land of the Hittites and he built a city and he called name its Luz that [is] name its until the day this.
27 Tampoco Manasés echó á [los de] Beth-sean, ni á [los de] sus aldeas, ni á [los de] Taanach y sus aldeas, ni á los de Dor y sus aldeas, ni á los habitantes de Ibleam y sus aldeas, ni á los que habitaban en Megiddo y en sus aldeas: mas el Cananeo quiso habitar en esta tierra.
And not it took possession of Manasseh Beth Shean and daughters its and Taanach and daughters its and ([the] inhabitants of *Q(K)*) Dor and daughters its and [the] inhabitants of Ibleam and daughters its and [the] inhabitants of Megiddo and daughters its and it was determined the Canaanite[s] to dwell in the land this.
28 Empero cuando Israel tomó fuerzas hizo al Cananeo tributario, mas no lo echó.
And it was that it became strong Israel and it made the Canaanite[s] into forced labor and certainly not it dispossessed him.
29 Tampoco Ephraim echó al Cananeo que habitaba en Gezer; antes habitó el Cananeo en medio de ellos en Gezer.
And Ephraim not it dispossessed the Canaanite[s] who dwelt in Gezer and it dwelt the Canaanite[s] in midst its in Gezer.
30 Tampoco Zabulón echó á los que habitaban en Chîtron y á los que habitaban en Naalol; mas el Cananeo habitó en medio de él, y le fueron tributarios.
Zebulun not it dispossessed [the] inhabitants of Kitron and [the] inhabitants of Nahalol and it dwelt the Canaanite[s] in midst its and they became forced labor.
31 Tampoco Aser echó á los que habitaban en Achô, y á los que habitaban en Sidón, y en Ahlab, y en Achzib, y en Helba, y en Aphec, y en Rehod:
Asher not it dispossessed [the] inhabitants of Acco and [the] inhabitants of Sidon and Ahlab and Aczib and Helbah and Aphek and Rehob.
32 Antes moró Aser entre los Cananeos que habitaban en la tierra; pues no los echó.
And it dwelt the Asherite[s] in [the] midst of the Canaanite[s] [the] inhabitants of the land for not it dispossessed it.
33 Tampoco Nephtalí echó á los que habitaban en Beth-semes, y á los que habitaban en Beth-anath, sino que moró entre los Cananeos que habitaban en la tierra; mas fuéronle tributarios los moradores de Beth-semes, y los moradores de Beth-anath.
Naphtali not it dispossessed [the] inhabitants of Beth Shemesh and [the] inhabitants of Beth Anath and it dwelt in [the] midst of the Canaanite[s] [the] inhabitants of the land and [the] inhabitants of Beth Shemesh and Beth Anath they became for them forced labor.
34 Los Amorrheos apretaron á los hijos de Dan hasta el monte; que no los dejaron descender á la campiña.
And they pressed the Amorite[s] [the] descendants of Dan the hill country towards for not it permitted it to go down to the valley.
35 Y quiso el Amorrheo habitar en el monte de Heres, en Ajalón y en Saalbín; mas como la mano de la casa de José tomó fuerzas, hiciéronlos tributarios.
And it was determined the Amorite[s] to dwell in [the] mountain of Heres in Aijalon and in Shaalbim and it was heavy [the] hand of [the] house of Joseph and they became forced labor.
36 Y el término del Amorrheo fué desde la subida de Acrabim, desde la piedra, y arriba.
And [the] border of the Amorite[s] [was] from [the] ascent of scorpions from Sela and up-wards.
