Job 25

1 Y RESPONDIÓ Bildad Suhita, y dijo:

Then Baldad the Sauchite answered and said,

2 El señorío y el temor están con él: él hace paz en sus alturas.

What beginning or fear is his—even he that makes all things in the highest?

3 ¿Tienen sus ejércitos número? ¿y sobre quién no está su luz?

For let none think that there is a respite for robbers: and upon whom will there not come a snare from him?

4 ¿Cómo pues se justificará el hombre con Dios? ¿y cómo será limpio el que nace de mujer?

For how shall a mortal be just before the Lord? or who that is born of a woman shall purify himself?

5 He aquí que ni aun la misma luna será resplandeciente, ni las estrellas son limpias delante de sus ojos:

If he gives an order to the moon, then it shines not; and the stars are not pure before him.

6 ¿Cuánto menos el hombre que es un gusano, y el hijo de hombre, [también] gusano?

But alas! man is corruption, and the son of man a worm.
