Zacarías 8
1 Y fue palabra de Jehová de los ejércitos, diciendo:
And the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying:
2 Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Yo zelé a Sión de gran zelo, y con grande ira la zelé.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts: I have been jealous for Sion with a great jealousy, and with a great indignation have I been jealous for her.
3 Así dijo Jehová: Yo torné a Sión, y moraré en medio de Jerusalem; y Jerusalem se llamará ciudad de verdad, y el monte de Jehová de los ejércitos, monte de santidad.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts: I am returned to Sion, and I will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The city of truth, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts, The sanctified mountain.
4 Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Aun han de morar viejos y viejas en las plazas de Jerusalem; y cada cual tendrá bordón en su mano por la multitud de los días.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts: There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem: and every man with his staff in his hand through multitude of days.
5 Y las calles de la ciudad serán llenas de muchachos y muchachas, que jugarán en sus calles.
And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls, playing in the streets thereof.
6 Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: Si esto parecerá dificultoso delante de los ojos del resto de este pueblo en aquellos días, también será dificultoso delante de mis ojos, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts: If it seem hard in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days: shall it be hard in my eyes, saith the Lord of hosts?
7 Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: He aquí que yo salvo mi pueblo de la tierra del oriente, y de la tierra donde se pone el sol.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Behold I will save my people from the land of the east, and from the land of the going down of the sun.
8 Y traerlos he, y habitarán en medio de Jerusalem, y serme han por pueblo, y yo seré a ellos por Dios con verdad y con justicia.
And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God in truth and in justice.
9 Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Esfuércense vuestras manos de vosotros, los que oís en estos días estas palabras de la boca de los profetas, desde el día que se echó el cimiento a la casa de Jehová de los ejércitos, para edificar el templo.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Let your hands be strengthened, you that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, in the day that the house of the Lord of hosts was founded, that the temple might be built.
10 Porque antes de estos días no ha habido paga de hombre, ni paga de bestia, ni hubo paz alguna para entrante ni para saliente, a causa de la angustia; porque yo incité todos los hombres, cada cual contra su compañero.
For before those days there was no hire for men, neither was there hire for beasts, neither was there peace to him that came in, nor to him that went out, because of the tribulation: and I let all men go every one against his neighbour.
11 Mas ahora no haré con el resto de este pueblo como en aquellos días pasados, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos.
But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people according to the former days, saith the Lord of hosts.
12 Porque la simiente de la paz quedará: la vid dará su fruto, y la tierra dará su fruto, y los cielos darán su rocío; y haré que el resto de este pueblo posea todo esto.
But there shall be the seed of peace: the vine shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew: and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
13 Y será que como fuisteis maldición entre las gentes, o! casa de Judá, y casa de Israel, así os salvaré, para que seáis bendición. No temáis, mas esfuércense vuestras manos.
And it shall come to pass, that as you were a curse among the Gentiles, O house of Juda, and house of Israel: so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing: fear not, let your hands be strengthened.
14 Porque así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Como pensé haceros mal, cuando vuestros padres me provocaron a ira, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos, y no me arrepentí;
For thus saith the Lord of hosts: As I purposed to afflict you, when your fathers had provoked me to wrath, saith the Lord,
15 Así tornando he pensado de hacer bien a Jerusalem, y a la casa de Judá en estos días: no temáis.
And I had no mercy: so turning again I have thought in these days to do good to the house of Juda, and Jerusalem: fear not.
16 Estas son las cosas que haréis: Hablád verdad cada cual con su prójimo; juzgád en vuestras puertas verdad y juicio de paz:
These then are the things, which you shall do: Speak ye truth every one to his neighbour: judge ye truth and judgment of peace in your gates.
17 Y ninguno de vosotros piense mal en su corazón contra su prójimo; ni améis juramento falso; porque todas estas cosas son las que yo aborrezco, dijo Jehová,
And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his friend: and love not a false oath: for all these are the things that I hate, saith the Lord.
18 Y fue palabra de Jehová de los ejércitos a mí, diciendo:
And the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying:
19 Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: El ayuno del cuarto mes, y el ayuno del quinto, y el ayuno del séptimo, y el ayuno del décimo se tornará a la casa de Judá en gozo, y en alegría, y en solemnidades festivas. Amád pues verdad, y paz.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth shall be to the house of Juda, joy, and gladness, and great solemnities: only love ye truth and peace.
20 Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Aun vendrán pueblos, y moradores de muchas ciudades.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts, until people come, and dwell in many cities,
21 Y vendrán los moradores de la una a la otra, y dirán: Vamos para orar a la faz de Jehová, y busquemos a Jehová de los ejércitos. Yo también iré.
And the inhabitants go one to another, saying: Let us go, and entreat the face of the Lord, and let us seek the Lord of hosts: I also will go.
22 Y vendrán muchos pueblos, y fuertes naciones a buscar a Jehová de los ejércitos en Jerusalem, y a orar a la faz de Jehová.
And many peoples, and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat the face of the Lord.
23 Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: En aquellos días acontecerá que diez varones de todas las lenguas de las naciones trabarán de la halda del varón Judío, diciendo: Vamos con vosotros, porque hemos oído, que Dios es con vosotros.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts: In those days, wherein ten men of all languages of the Gentiles shall take hold, and shall hold fast the shirt of one that is a Jew, saying: We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
