Zacarías 7
1 Y aconteció que en el año cuarto del rey Darío fue palabra de Jehová a Zacarías, a los cuatro del mes noveno, que es Casleu:
It happened in the fourth year of king Daryavesh that the word of the LORD came to Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Chislev.
2 Cuando fue enviado a la casa de Dios Sarasar, y Rogommelec, con sus varones, a orar a la faz de Jehová:
The people of Bethel sent Sharezer and Regem Melech, and their men, to entreat the LORD's favor,
3 Y a decir a los sacerdotes que estaban en la casa de Jehová de los ejércitos, y a los profetas, diciendo: ¿Lloraremos en el mes quinto? ¿haremos abstinencia como habemos hecho ya algunos años?
and to speak to the priests of the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, "Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?"
4 Y fue palabra de Jehová de los ejércitos a mí, diciendo:
Then the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,
5 Habla a todo el pueblo de esta comarca, y a los sacerdotes, diciendo: Cuando ayunasteis y llorasteis en el quinto, y en el séptimo mes estos setenta años, ¿habéis ayunado ayuno para mí?
"Speak to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, 'When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and in the seventh month for these seventy years, did you at all fast to me, really to me?
6 Y cuando coméis, y bebéis, ¿no coméis y bebéis para vosotros?
When you eat, and when you drink, do you not eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?
7 ¿No son estas las palabras, que pregonó Jehová por mano de los profetas primeros, cuando Jerusalem estaba habitada y quieta, y cuando sus ciudades en sus al derredores, y el mediodía, y la campiña, se habitaban?
Aren't these the words which the LORD proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and its cities around her, and the Negev and the lowland were inhabited?'"
8 Y fue palabra de Jehová a Zacarías, diciendo:
The word of the LORD came to Zechariah, saying,
9 Así habló Jehová de los ejércitos, diciendo: Juzgád juicio verdadero, y hacéd misericordia y piedad cada cual con su hermano:
"Thus has the LORD of hosts spoken, saying, 'Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother.
10 No agraviéis la viuda, ni al huérfano, ni al extranjero, ni al pobre: ni ninguno piense mal en su corazón contra su hermano.
Do not oppress the widow, nor the fatherless, the foreigner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.'
11 Y no quisieron escuchar, antes dieron hombro rebelador, y agravaron sus oídos para no oír.
But they refused to listen, and turned their backs, and stopped their ears, that they might not hear.
12 Y pusieron su corazón como diamante para no oír la ley, ni las palabras que Jehová de los ejércitos enviaba por su Espíritu, por mano de los profetas primeros; y fue hecho grande castigo por Jehová de los ejércitos.
Yes, they made their hearts as hard as flint, lest they might hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts had sent by his Spirit by the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from the LORD of hosts.
13 Y aconteció, que como él clamó, y no oyeron, así ellos clamaron, y yo no oí, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos.
It has come to pass that, as he called, and they refused to listen, so they will call, and I will not listen," said the LORD of hosts;
14 Y esparcílos con torbellino por todas las naciones que ellos no conocieron; y la tierra fue asolada detrás de ellos de yentes y vinientes; y la tierra deseable tornaron en asolamiento.
"but I will scatter them with a whirlwind among all the nations which they have not known. Thus the land was desolate after them, so that no man passed through nor returned: for they made the pleasant land desolate."
