Zacarías 1
1 En el mes octavo, en el año segundo de Darío, fue palabra de Jehová a Zacarías profeta, hijo de Baraquías, hijo de Addo, diciendo:
In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
2 Airóse Jehová con ira contra vuestros padres.
The Lord has been very angry with your fathers:
3 Decirles has pues: Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Volvéos a mí, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos, y yo me volveré a vosotros, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos.
And you are to say to them, These are the words of the Lord of armies: Come back to me, says the Lord of armies, and I will come back to you.
4 No seáis como vuestros padres, a los cuales dieron voces aquellos profetas primeros, diciendo: Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Volvéos ahora de vuestros malos caminos, y de vuestras malas obras; y nunca oyeron, ni me escucharon, dijo Jehová.
Be not like your fathers, to whom the voice of the earlier prophets came, saying, Be turned now from your evil ways and from your evil doings: but they did not give ear to me or take note, says the Lord.
5 ¿Vuestros padres, dónde están? ¿y los profetas, han de vivir para siempre?
Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they go on living for ever?
6 Con todo esto, mis palabras, y mis ordenanzas que mandé a mis siervos los profetas, ¿no comprendieron a vuestros padres? los cuales se volvieron, y dijeron: Como Jehová de los ejércitos pensó tratarnos conforme a nuestros caminos, y conforme a nuestras obras, así lo hizo con nosotros.
But my words and my orders, which I gave to my servants the prophets, have they not overtaken your fathers? and turning back they said, As it was the purpose of the Lord of armies to do to us, in reward for our ways and our doings, so has he done.
7 A los veinte y cuatro del mes onceno, que es el mes de Sebat, en el año segundo de Darío, fue palabra de Jehová a Zacarías profeta, hijo de Baraquías, hijo de Addo, diciendo:
On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
8 Ví una noche, y he aquí un varón que cabalgaba sobre un caballo bermejo, el cual estaba entre los arrayanes que están en la hondura; y detrás de él estaban caballos bermejos, overos, y blancos.
I saw in the night a man on a red horse, between the mountains in the valley, and at his back were horses, red, black, white, and of mixed colours.
9 Y yo dije: ¿Quién son estos, Señor mío? y díjome el ángel que hablaba conmigo: Yo te enseñaré quién son estos.
Then I said, O my lord, what are these? And the angel who was talking to me said to me, I will make clear to you what they are.
10 Y aquel varón que estaba entre los arrayanes respondió, y dijo: Estos son los que Jehová ha enviado, para que anden la tierra.
And the man who was between the mountains, answering me, said, These are those whom the Lord has sent to go up and down through the earth.
11 Y ellos hablaron a aquel ángel de Jehová, que estaba entre los arrayanes, y dijeron: Hemos andado la tierra, y he aquí que toda la tierra está reposada y quieta.
And the man who was between the mountains, answering, said to the angel of the Lord, We have gone up and down through the earth, and all the earth is quiet and at rest.
12 Y respondió el ángel de Jehová, y dijo: O! Jehová de los ejércitos, ¿hasta cuándo no habrás piedad de Jerusalem, y de las ciudades de Judá, con las cuales has estado airado ya ha setenta años?
Then the angel of the Lord, answering, said, O Lord of armies, how long will it be before you have mercy on Jerusalem and on the towns of Judah against which your wrath has been burning for seventy years?
13 Y Jehová respondió buenas palabras, palabras consolatorias a aquel ángel que hablaba conmigo.
And the Lord gave an answer in good and comforting words to the angel who was talking to me.
14 Y díjome el ángel que hablaba conmigo: Clama, diciendo: Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Zelé a Jerusalem, y a Sión con gran zelo;
And the angel who was talking to me said to me, Let your voice be loud and say, These are the words of the Lord of armies: I am greatly moved about the fate of Jerusalem and of Zion.
15 Y con grande enojo estoy airado contra las gentes que están reposadas; porque yo estaba enojado un poco, y ellos ayudaron para el mal.
And I am very angry with the nations who are living untroubled: for when I was only a little angry, they made the evil worse.
16 Por tanto así dijo Jehová: Yo me he tornado a Jerusalem con miseraciones: mi casa será edificada en ella, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, y cordel de albañil será tendido sobre Jerusalem.
So this is what the Lord has said: I have come back to Jerusalem with mercies; my house is to be put up in her, says the Lord of armies, and a line is to be stretched out over Jerusalem.
17 Clama aun, diciendo: Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: Aun serán mis ciudades esparcidas por la abundancia del bien; y aun consolará Jehová a Sión, y escogerá aun a Jerusalem.
And again let your voice be loud and say, This is what the Lord of armies has said: My towns will again be overflowing with good things, and again the Lord will give comfort to Zion and take Jerusalem for himself.
18 Y alcé mis ojos, y miré, y he aquí cuatro cuernos.
And lifting up my eyes I saw four horns.
19 Y dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: ¿Qué son estos? y respondióme: Estos son los cuernos que aventaron a Judá, a Israel, y a Jerusalem.
And I said to the angel who was talking to me, What are these? And he said to me, These are the horns which have sent Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem in flight.
20 Y mostróme Jehová cuatro carpinteros.
And the Lord gave me a vision of four metal-workers.
21 Y yo dije: ¿Qué vienen estos a hacer? Y respondióme, diciendo: Estos son los cuernos que aventaron a Judá, tanto que ninguno alzó su cabeza; y estos han venido para hacerlos temblar, y para derribar los cuernos de las gentes, que alzaron el cuerno sobre la tierra de Judá para aventarla.
Then I said, What have these come to do? And he said, These are the horns which sent Judah in flight, and kept him from lifting up his head: but these men have come to send fear on them and to put down the nations who are lifting up their horns against the land of Judah to send it in flight.
