Salmos 94
1 Dios de venganzas Jehová, Dios de venganzas, muéstrate.
The Lord is the God to whom revenge belongeth: the God of revenge hath acted freely.
2 Ensálzate, o! Juez de la tierra: da el pago a los soberbios.
Lift up thyself, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud.
3 ¿Hasta cuándo los impíos, o! Jehová, hasta cuándo los impíos se regocijarán?
How long shall sinners, O Lord: how long shall sinners glory?
4 ¿Pronunciarán, hablarán cosas duras? ¿ensalzarse han todos los que obran iniquidad?
Shall they utter, and speak iniquity: shall all speak who work injustice?
5 A tu pueblo, o! Jehová, quebrantan, y a tu heredad afligen.
Thy people, O Lord, they have brought low: and they have afflicted thy inheritance.
6 A la viuda y al extranjero matan, y a los huérfanos quitan la vida.
They have slain the widow and the stranger: and they have murdered the fatherless.
7 Y dijeron: No verá Jehová: y, no entenderá el Dios de Jacob.
And they have said: The Lord shall not see: neither shall the God of Jacob understand.
8 Entendéd necios en el pueblo: y vosotros insensatos, ¿cuándo seréis sabios?
Understand, ye senseless among the people: and, you fools, be wise at last.
9 ¿El que plantó la oreja, no oirá? ¿él que formó el ojo, no verá?
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that formed the eye, doth he not consider?
10 ¿El que castiga a las gentes, no reprenderá? ¿el que enseña al hombre la ciencia?
He that chastiseth nations, shall he not rebuke: he that teacheth man knowledge?
11 Jehová conoce los pensamientos de los hombres: que son vanidad.
The Lord knoweth the thoughts of men, that they are vain.
12 Bienaventurado el varón a quien tú Jehová, castigares, y en tu ley le enseñares.
Blessed is the man whom thou shalt instruct, O Lord: and shalt teach him out of thy law.
13 Para hacerle quieto en los días de aflicción, entre tanto que se cava el hoyo para el impío.
That thou mayst give him rest from the evil days: till a pit be dug for the wicked.
14 Porque no dejará Jehová a su pueblo, ni desamparará a su heredad.
For the Lord will not cast off his people: neither will he forsake his own inheritance.
15 Porque el juicio será vuelto hasta justicia, y en pos de ella irán todos los rectos de corazón.
Until justice be turned into judgment: and they that are near it are all the upright in heart.
16 ¿Quién se levanta por mí contra los malignos? ¿Quién está por mí contra los que obran iniquidad?
Who shall rise up for me against the evildoers? or who shall stand with me against the workers of iniquity?
17 Si no me ayudara Jehová, presto morara mi alma con los muertos.
Unless the Lord had been my helper, my soul had almost dwelt in hell. (questioned)
18 Mas si decía: Mi pie resbala, tu misericordia, o! Jehová, me sustentaba.
If I said: My foot is moved: thy mercy, O Lord, assisted me.
19 En la multitud de mis pensamientos dentro de mí, tus consolaciones alegraban mi alma.
According to the multitude of my sorrows in my heart, thy comforts have given joy to my soul.
20 ¿Juntarse ha contigo el trono de iniquidades, que cria agravio en el mandamiento?
Doth the seat of iniquity stick to thee, who framest labour in commandment?
21 Pónense en ejército contra la vida del justo: y condenan la sangre inocente.
They will hunt after the soul of the just, and will condemn innocent blood.
22 Mas Jehová me ha sido por refugio: y mí Dios por peña de mi confianza.
But the Lord is my refuge: and my God the help of my hope.
23 El cual hizo volver contra ellos su iniquidad: y con su maldad los talará: talarlos ha Jehová nuestro Dios.
And he will render them their iniquity: and in their malice he will destroy them: the Lord our God will destroy them.
