Salmos 85
1 Tomaste contentamiento en tu tierra, o! Jehová: volviste la cautividad de Jacob.
“To the chief musician, by the sons of Korach, a psalm.” Thou hast been favorable, O Lord, unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.
2 Perdonaste la iniquidad de tu pueblo: cubriste todos los pecados de ellos. (Selah)
Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered over all their sin. (Selah)
3 Quitaste toda tu saña: volvístete de la ira de tu furor.
Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast relinquished the fierceness of thy anger.
4 Tórnanos, o! Dios, salud nuestra: y haz cesar tu ira de nosotros.
Return to us, O God of our salvation, and cause thy ill-will toward us to cease.
5 ¿Enojarte has para siempre contra nosotros? ¿Extenderás tu ira de generación en generación?
Wilt thou be wroth with us for ever? wilt thou extend thy anger from generation to generation?
6 ¿No volverás tú a darnos vida, y tu pueblo se alegrará en ti?
Wilt thou not [now] revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?
7 Muéstranos, o! Jehová, tu misericordia: y dános tu salud.
Show us thy kindness, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.
8 Escucharé lo que hablará el Dios Jehová: porque hablará paz a su pueblo, y a sus piadosos: para que no se conviertan a la locura.
I will hear what God the Lord will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his pious ones: only let them not turn again to folly.
9 Ciertamente cercana está su salud a los que le temen; para que habite la gloria en nuestra tierra.
Surely, nigh is his salvation unto those that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land.
10 La misericordia y la verdad se encontraron; la justicia y la paz se besaron.
Kindness and truth are met together: righteousness and peace kiss each other.
11 La verdad reverdecerá de la tierra: y la justicia mirará desde los cielos.
Truth will grow up out of the earth, and righteousness will look down from heaven.
12 Jehová dará también el bien: y nuestra tierra dará su fruto.
Yea, the Lord will also give the good, and our land will yield its products.
13 La justicia irá delante de él: y pondrá sus pasos en camino.
Righteousness will walk firmly before him, and will make [level] the way by its steps.
