Salmos 76

1 Dios es conocido en Judá: Dios, en Israel es grande su nombre.

To the Chief Musician. With Stringed Instruments. A Melody of Asaph, a Song. God is, known in Judah, In Israel, great is his Name;

2 Y en Salem está su tabernáculo: y su habitación en Sión.

Now hath come into Salem, his pavilion, And his dwelling-place into Zion.

3 Allí quebró las saetas del arco: el escudo, y la espada, y la guerra. (Selah)

There, hath he broken in pieces the arrows of the bow, shield and sword, and battle. (Selah)

4 Ilustre eres tú, y fuerte, más que los montes de caza.

Enveloped in light, thou, art more majestic than the mountains of prey.

5 Los fuertes de corazón fueron despojados; durmieron su sueño, y nada hallaron en sus manos todos los varones fuertes.

The valiant of heart have become a spoil, They have slumbered their sleep, And none of the men of might have found their hands.

6 Por tu reprensión, o! Dios de Jacob, es adormecido el carro y el caballo.

At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Stunned are the horsemen.

7 Tú eres terrible, tú: ¿y quién parará delante de ti en comenzando tu ira?

As for thee, to be feared thou art! Who then shall stand before thee, because of the power of thine anger?

8 Desde los cielos hiciste oír juicio: la tierra tuvo temor, y cesó,

Out of the heavens, didst thou cause judgment to be heard, Earth, feared and was still:

9 Cuando, o! Dios, te levantaste al juicio, para salvar a todos los mansos de la tierra. (Selah)

When God rose up to judgment, To save all the oppressed of the earth. (Selah)

10 Ciertamente la ira del hombre te confesará: los restos de las iras constreñirás.

For the multitude of mankind shall give thanks unto thee, The remainder of the multitude, shall keep holy festival unto thee.

11 Prometéd, y pagád a Jehová, vuestro Dios, todos los que estáis al rededor de él: traigan presentes al terrible.

Vow and pay, unto Yahweh your God, —Let, all who are round about him, bear along a gift unto him who is to be revered.

12 El que quita el espíritu a los príncipes: terrible a los reyes de la tierra.

He cutteth off the spirit of nobles, he is of reverend majesty to the kings of the earth.
