Salmos 72
1 O! Dios, da tus juicios al rey, y tu justicia al hijo del rey.
“By Solomon.” O God, give unto the king thy decisions, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.
2 El juzgará a tu pueblo con justicia: y a tus afligidos con juicio.
He shall decide for thy people with righteousness, and for thy afflicted with justice.
3 Los montes llevarán paz al pueblo: y los collados justicia.
The mountains shall bear peace for the people, and the hills [the same], through righteousness.
4 Juzgará a los afligidos del pueblo: Salvará a los hijos del menesteroso, y quebrantará al violento.
He shall judge the afflicted of the people, he shall give help to the children of the needy; but he shall crush the oppressor.
5 Temerte han con el sol, y antes de la luna: por generación de generaciones.
They shall fear thee as long as the sun shineth, and in the presence of the moon, throughout all generations.
6 Descenderá como la lluvia sobre la yerba cortada: como el rocío que destila sobre la tierra.
He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass, as showers which are dropping on the earth.
7 Florecerá en sus días justicia, y multitud de paz, hasta que no haya luna.
In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace [shall be] till the moon shall be no more.
8 Y dominará de mar a mar, y desde el río hasta los cabos de la tierra.
And he shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
9 Delante de él se postrarán los Etiopes: y sus enemigos lamerán la tierra.
Before him shall bend down those that dwell in the wilderness; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
10 Los reyes de Társis, y de las islas traerán presentes: los reyes de Jeba y de Seba ofrecerán dones.
The kings of Tharshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
11 Y arrodillarse han a él todos los reyes; todas las naciones le servirán.
Yea, there shall bow down before him all kings: all nations shall serve him.
12 Porque él librará al menesteroso que clamare, y al afligido, que no tuviere quien le socorra.
For he will deliver the needy when he crieth; the afflicted also, who hath no helper.
13 Tendrá misericordia del pobre y del menesteroso, y las almas de los pobres salvará.
He will spare the poor and needy; and the souls of the needy will he assist.
14 De engaño y de fraude redimirá sus almas; y la sangre de ellos será preciosa en sus ojos.
From wrong and violence will he deliver their soul; and precious shall their blood be in his eyes.
15 Y vivirá, y darle ha del oro de Jeba, y orará por él continuamente, todo el día le echará bendiciones.
And he shall live; and he will give him of the gold of Sheba: and he will pray in his behalf continually; all the time will he bless him.
16 Será echado un puño de grano en tierra, en los cabezos de los montes; hará estruendo, como el Líbano, su fruto; y verdeguearán desde la ciudad, como la yerba de la tierra.
There shall be an abundance of corn in the land; upon the top of the mountains its fruit shall shake like [the trees of] Lebanon; and [men] shall blossom out of the city like herbs of the earth.
17 Será su nombre para siempre, delante del sol será propagado su nombre; y bendecirse han en él todas las naciones; llamarle han bienaventurado.
His name will endure for ever; in the presence of the sun his name shall flourish: and men shall bless themselves with him: all nations shall call him happy.
18 Bendito Jehová Dios, el Dios de Israel, que solo hace maravillas:
Blessed be the Lord the God, the God of Israel, who alone doth wondrous things.
19 Y bendito su nombre glorioso para siempre: y toda la tierra sea llena de su gloria. Amén, y Amén.
And blessed he his glorious name for ever; and with his glory may the whole earth be filled: Amen, and Amen.
20 Acábanse las oraciones de David, hijo de Isaí.
