Salmos 63

1 Dios, Dios mío eres tú, a ti madrugaré: mi alma tuvo sed de ti, mi carne te desea en tierra de sequedad, y sequiosa sin aguas.

A Melody of David. When he was in the Wilderness of Judah. O God, my GOD, thou art, Earnestly do I desire thee, —My soul thirsteth for thee, My flesh fainteth for thee, In a land—dry, and weary for want of water, —

2 Así te miré en el santuario, para ver tu fortaleza y tu gloria.

In like manner as, in the sanctuary, I have had vision of thee, To behold thy power and thy glory.

3 Porque mejor es tu misericordia que la vida: mis labios te alabarán.

Because better is thy lovingkindness than life, My lips, aloud shall praise thee!

4 Así te bendeciré en mi vida: en tu nombre alzaré mis manos.

Thus, will I bless thee while I live, In thy Name, will I lift up mine outspread hands:

5 Como de meollo y de grosura será harta mi alma: y con labios de alegría te alabará mi boca,

As with fatness and richness, shall my soul be satisfied, And, with joyfully shouting lips, shall my mouth utter praise.

6 Cuando me acordaré de ti en mis camas, cuando a las alboradas meditaré de ti;

Should I call thee to mind upon my couch, In the watches of the night, would I breathe soft speech of thee.

7 Porque has sido mi socorro: y en la sombra de tus alas me regocijaré.

For thou hast become a help unto me, —And, in the shadow of thy wings, will I shout for joy.

8 Mi alma se apegó a ti: tu diestra me ha sustentado.

My soul hath run clinging to thee, On me, hath thy right hand laid hold.

9 Mas ellos para destrucción buscaron mi alma: descendieron en lo más bajo de la tierra.

When, they, to crush it, would seek my life, They shall go into the lower parts of the earth:

10 Matarlos han a filo de espada: porción de zorras serán.

Every one shall be given up into the power of the sword, The portion of jackals, shall they become.

11 Y el rey se alegrará en Dios, será alabado cualquiera que jura por él: porque la boca de los que hablan mentira, será cerrada.

But, the king, shall rejoice in God, —Every one shall glory who sweareth by him, For the mouth of them who speak falsehood, shall be stopped.
