Salmos 52

1 ¿Por qué te alabas de maldad, o! valiente? la misericordia de Dios es cada día.

Why boast you yourself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endures continually.

2 Agravios maquina tu lengua: como navaja afilada, hace engaño.

The tongue devises mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

3 Amaste el mal más que el bien: la mentira, más que hablar justicia. (Selah)

You love evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. (Selah)

4 Amaste todas las palabras dañosas; lengua engañosa.

You love all devouring words, O you deceitful tongue.

5 También Dios te derrocará para siempre: cortarte ha, y arrancarte ha de la tienda; y te desarraigará de la tierra de los vivientes. (Selah)

God shall likewise destroy you for ever, he shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, and root you out of the land of the living. (Selah)

6 Y verán los justos, y temerán: y reírse han de él.

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

7 He aquí un varón que no puso a Dios por su fortaleza, mas confió en la multitud de sus riquezas: esforzóse en su maldad.

See, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

8 Mas yo, como oliva verde, en la casa de Dios: confié en la misericordia de Dios siempre y eternalmente.

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

9 Yo te alabaré para siempre, porque hiciste: y esperaré tu nombre, porque es bueno, delante de tus misericordiosos.

I will praise you for ever, because you have done it: and I will wait on your name; for it is good before your saints.
