Salmos 5

1 Escucha, o! Jehová, mis palabras: entiende mi meditación.

To him that excelleth upon Nehiloth. A Psalme of Dauid. Heare my wordes, O Lord: vnderstande my (meditation)

2 Está atento a la voz de mi clamor, Rey mío, y Dios mío, porque a ti oraré.

Hearken vnto the voyce of my crie, my King and my God: for vnto thee doe I pray.

3 Jehová, de mañana oirás mi voz: de mañana me presentaré a ti, y esperaré.

Heare my voyce in the morning, O Lord: for in the morning will I direct me vnto thee, and I will waite.

4 Porque tú no eres Dios que quieres la maldad; el malo no habitará junto a ti.

For thou art not a God that loueth wickednes: neither shall euill dwell with thee.

5 No estarán los insensatos delante de tus ojos: a todos los que obran iniquidad, aborreciste.

The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: for thou hatest all them that worke iniquitie.

6 Destruirás a los que hablan mentira: al varón de sangres y de engaño abominará Jehová.

Thou shalt destroy them that speake lyes: the Lord will abhorre the bloodie man and deceitfull.

7 Y yo en la multitud de tu misericordia entraré en tu casa: adoraré al santo templo tuyo con tu temor.

But I wil come into thine house in the multitude of thy mercie: and in thy feare will I worship toward thine holy Temple.

8 Jehová, guíame en tu justicia a causa de mis enemigos: endereza delante de mí tu camino.

Leade me, O Lord, in thy righteousnes, because of mine enemies: make thy way plaine before my face.

9 Porque no hay en su boca rectitud: sus entrañas son pravedades: sepulcro abierto su garganta, con su lengua lisonjearán.

For no constancie is in their mouth: within, they are very corruption: their throte is an open sepulchre, and they flatter with their tongue.

10 Asuélales, o! Dios, caigan de sus consejos: por la multitud de sus rebeliones échales, porque se rebelaron contra ti.

Destroy them, O God: let them fall from their counsels: cast them out for the multitude of their iniquities, because they haue rebelled against thee.

11 Y alegrarse han todos los que esperan en ti; para siempre se regocijarán, y cubrirles has, y alegrarse han en ti los que aman tu nombre.

And let all them that trust in thee, reioyce and triumph for euer, and couer thou them: and let them, that loue thy Name, reioyce in thee.

12 Porque tú bendecirás al justo, o! Jehová; como de un pavés le cercarás de benevolencia.

For thou Lord wilt blesse the righteous, and with fauour wilt compasse him, as with a shielde.
