Salmos 38

1 Jehová, no me reprendas con tu furor, ni me castigues con tu ira.

A Psalm of David, 'To cause to remember.' Jehovah, in Thy wrath reprove me not, Nor in Thy fury chastise me.

2 Porque tus saetas descendieron en mí; y sobre mí ha descendido tu mano.

For Thine arrows have come down on me, And Thou lettest down upon me Thy hand.

3 No hay sanidad en mi carne a causa de tu ira: no hay paz en mis huesos a causa de mi pecado.

Soundness is not in my flesh, Because of Thine indignation, Peace is not in my bones because of my sin.

4 Porque mis iniquidades han pasado sobre mi cabeza: como carga pesada, se han agravado sobre mí.

For mine iniquities have passed over my head, As a heavy burden — too heavy for me.

5 Pudriéronse, y corrompiéronse mis llagas a causa de mi locura.

Stunk — become corrupt have my wounds, Because of my folly.

6 Estoy encorvado, estoy humillado en gran manera: todo el día ando enlutado.

I have been bent down, I have been bowed down — unto excess, All the day I have gone mourning.

7 Porque mis caderas están llenas de ardor: y no hay sanidad en mi carne.

For my flanks have been full of drought, And soundness is not in my flesh.

8 Estoy debilitado y molido en gran manera: rugiendo estoy a causa del alboroto de mi corazón.

I have been feeble and smitten — unto excess, I have roared from disquietude of heart.

9 Señor, delante de ti están todos mis deseos: y mi suspiro no te es oculto.

Lord, before Thee [is] all my desire, And my sighing from Thee hath not been hid.

10 Mi corazón está rodeado, me ha dejado mi vigor; y la luz de mis ojos, aun ellos no están conmigo.

My heart [is] panting, my power hath forsaken me, And the light of mine eyes, Even they are not with me.

11 Mis amigos, y mis compañeros, se quitaron de delante de mi plaga: y mis cercanos se pusieron lejos.

My lovers and my friends over-against my plague stand. And my neighbours afar off have stood.

12 Y los que buscaban a mi alma armaron lazos: y los que buscaban mi mal, hablaban iniquidades: y todo el día meditaban fraudes.

And those seeking my soul lay a snare, And those seeking my evil Have spoken mischievous things, And they do deceits meditate all the day.

13 Y yo, como sordo, no oía: y como un mudo, que no abre su boca.

And I, as deaf, hear not. And as a dumb one who openeth not his mouth.

14 Y fui como un hombre que no oye: y que no hay en su boca reprensiones.

Yea, I am as a man who heareth not, And in his mouth are no reproofs.

15 Porque a ti Jehová esperaba: tú responderás Jehová Dios mío.

Because for Thee, O Jehovah, I have waited, Thou dost answer, O Lord my God.

16 Porque decía: Que no se alegren de mí: cuando mi pie resbalaba se engrandecían sobre mí.

When I said, 'Lest they rejoice over me, In the slipping of my foot against me they magnified themselves.

17 Porque yo aparejado estoy a cojear: y mi dolor está delante de mí continuamente.

For I am ready to halt, And my pain [is] before me continually.

18 Por tanto denunciaré mi maldad: congojarme he por mi pecado.

For mine iniquity I declare, I am sorry for my sin.

19 Porque mis enemigos son vivos y fuertes: y hánse aumentado los que me aborrecen sin causa:

And mine enemies [are] lively, They have been strong, and those hating me without cause, Have been multiplied.

20 Y pagando mal por bien me son contrarios, por seguir yo lo bueno.

And those paying evil for good accuse me, Because of my pursuing good.

21 No me desampares, o! Jehová; Dios mío, no te alejes de mí.

Do not forsake me, O Jehovah, My God, be not far from me,

22 Apresúrate a ayudarme, Señor, que eres mi salud.

Haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!
