Salmos 32

1 Bienaventurado el perdonado de rebelión, el encubierto de pecado.

[A Psalm] of instruction by David. Blessed [are they] whose transgressions are forgiven, and who sins are covered.

2 Bienaventurado el hombre a quien no contará Jehová la iniquidad, ni hubiere en su espíritu engaño.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin, and whose mouth there is no guile.

3 Mientras callé, se envejecieron mis huesos en mi gemido todo el día.

Because I kept silence, my bones waxed old, from my crying all the day.

4 Porque de día y de noche se agrava sobre mí tu mano, volvióse mi verdor en sequedades de verano. (Selah)

For day and night your hand was heavy upon me: I became thoroughly miserable while a thorn was fastened in [me]. (Pause)

5 Mi pecado te notifiqué: y no encubrí mi iniquidad. Dije: Yo confesaré contra mí mis rebeliones a Jehová; y tú perdonarás la maldad de mi pecado. (Selah)

I acknowledged my sin, and hid not mine iniquity: I said, I will confess mine iniquity to the Lord against myself; and you forgave the ungodliness of my heart. (Pause)

6 Por esto orará todo misericordioso a ti en el tiempo del hallar: ciertamente en la inundación de las muchas aguas, no llegarán a él.

Therefore shall every holy one pray to you in a fit time: only in the deluge of many waters they shall not come near to him.

7 Tú eres mi escondedero, de la angustia me guardarás: con clamores de libertad me rodearás. (Selah)

You are my refuge from the affliction that encompasses me; my joy, to deliver me from them that have compassed me. (Pause)

8 Hacerte he entender, y enseñarte he el camino en que andarás: sobre ti afirmaré mis ojos.

I will instruct you and guide you in this way wherein you shall go: I will fix mine eyes upon you.

9 No seáis como el caballo, como el mulo, sin entendimiento: con cabestro y con freno su boca ha de ser cerrada para que no lleguen a ti.

Be you not as horse and mule, which have no understanding; [but you must] constrain their jaws with bit and curb, lest they should come near to you.

10 Muchos dolores para el impío: y el que espera en Jehová misericordia le cercará.

Many are the scourges of the sinner: but him that hopes in the Lord mercy shall compass about.

11 Alegráos en Jehová, y gozáos justos: y cantád todos los rectos de corazón.

Be glad in the Lord, and exult, you righteous: and glory, all you that are upright in heart.
