Salmos 149

1 Cantád a Jehová canción nueva: su alabanza sea en la congregación de los misericordiosos.

Hallelujah. Sing unto the Lord a new song, his praise in the congregation of the pious.

2 Alégrese Israel con su hacedor: los hijos de Sión se regocijen con su Rey.

Let Israel rejoice in his Maker: let the children of Zion exult in their King.

3 Alaben su nombre con corro: con adufe y arpa canten a él.

Let them praise his name in the dance: with the timbrel and harp let them sing praises unto him.

4 Porque Jehová toma contentamiento con su pueblo: hermoseará a los humildes con salud.

For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people; he will adorn the meek with salvation.

5 Regocijarse han los piadosos con gloria: cantarán sobre sus camas.

Let the pious be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their couches.

6 Ensalzamientos de Dios estarán en sus gargantas; y espadas de dos filos en sus manos:

The exalted praises of God are in their mouth, and a two-edged sword is in their hand;

7 Para hacer venganza de los Gentiles: castigos en los pueblos.

To execute vengeance on the nations, and chastisements on the people:

8 Para aprisionar a sus reyes en grillos; y a sus nobles en cadenas de hierro.

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron:

9 Para hacer en ellos el juicio escrito: esta será la gloria de todos sus piadosos. Alelu- Jah.

To execute upon them the judgment [which is] written: this is an honor for all his pious servants. Hallelujah.
