Salmos 139
1 Jehová, tú me has examinado, y conocido.
For the leader. Of David, a psalm. O Lord, you search and know me;
2 Tú has conocido mi sentarme y mi levantarme, has entendido desde lejos mis pensamientos.
when I sit, when I rise you know it, you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 Mi senda, y mi acostarme has rodeado; y todos mis caminos has conocido.
When I walk, when I lie you sift it, familiar with all my ways.
4 Porque aun no está la palabra en mi lengua, y, he aquí, Jehová, tú la supiste toda.
There is not a word on my tongue, but see! Lord, you know it all.
5 Detrás y delante tú me formaste; y pusiste sobre mí tu mano.
Behind and before you beset me, upon me you lay your hand.
6 Más maravillosa es la ciencia que mi capacidad: alta es, no puedo comprenderla.
It’s too wonderful for me to know too lofty I cannot attain it.
7 ¿A dónde me iré de tu Espíritu? ¿y a dónde huiré de delante de ti?
Whither shall I go from your spirit? Or whither shall I flee from your face?
8 Si subiere a los cielos, allí estás tú; y si hiciere mi estrado en el infierno, héte allí. (Sheol h7585)
If I climb up to heaven, you are there: or make Sheol my bed, you are there. (Sheol h7585)
9 Si tomare las alas del alba, y habitare en el cabo de la mar,
If I lift up the wings of the morning and fly to the end of the sea,
10 Aun allí me guiará tu mano; y me trabará tu diestra.
there also your hand would grasp me, and your right hand take hold of me.
11 Si dijere: Ciertamente las tinieblas me encubrirán: aun la noche resplandecerá por causa de mí.
If I say, “Let the darkness cover me, and night be the light about me,”
12 Aun las tinieblas no encubren nada de ti; y la noche resplandece como el día: las tinieblas son como la luz.
The dark is not dark for you, but night is as light as the day.
13 Porque tú poseiste mis riñones; cubrísteme en el vientre de mi madre.
For you did put me together; in my mother’s womb you did weave me.
14 Confesarte he, porque terribles y maravillosas son tus obras: estoy maravillado, y mi alma lo conoce en gran manera.
I give you praise for my fashioning so full of awe, so wonderful. Your works are wonderful. You knew me right well;
15 No fue encubierto mi cuerpo de ti, aunque yo fui hecho en secreto: fue entretejido en los profundos de la tierra.
my bones were not hidden from you, when I was made in secret, and woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Mi imperfección vieron tus ojos; y en tu libro estaban todas aquellas cosas escritas, que fueron entonces formadas, sin faltar una de ellas.
Your eyes saw all my days: they stood on your book every one written down, before they were fashioned, while none of them yet was mine.
17 Así que ¡cuán preciosos me son tus pensamientos, o! Dios! ¡Cuán multiplicadas son sus cuentas!
But how far, O God, beyond measure are your thoughts! How mighty their sum!
18 Si las cuento, multiplícanse más que la arena: despierto, y aun estoy contigo.
Should I count, they are more than the sand. When I wake, I am still with you.
19 Si matases, o! Dios, al impío; y los varones de sangres se quitasen de mí;
Will you slay the wicked, O God? And remove from me the bloodthirsty,
20 Que te dicen blasfemias: ensoberbécense en vano tus enemigos.
who maliciously defy you and take your name in vain.
21 ¿No tuve en odio, o! Jehová, a los que te aborrecieron? ¿y peleo contra tus enemigos?
Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord? Do I not loathe those who resist you?
22 De entero odio los aborrecí: túvelos por enemigos.
With perfect hatred I hate them, I count them my enemies.
23 Examíname, o! Dios, y conoce mi corazón: pruébame, y conoce mis pensamientos.
Search me, O God, know my heart: test me, and know my thoughts,
24 Y ve si hay en mí camino de perversidad; y guíame en el camino del mundo.
and see if guile be in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.
