Salmos 116

1 Amé a Jehová, porque ha oído mi voz: mis ruegos.

It is lovely to me that the Lord heareth my voice, my supplications.

2 Porque ha inclinado su oído a mí; y en mis días le llamaré,

For he hath inclined his ear unto me: therefore throughout all my days will I call on him.

3 Rodeáronme los dolores de la muerte, las angustias del sepulcro me hallaron: angustia y dolor había hallado: (Sheol h7585)

The bands of death had compassed me, and the pangs of the nether world had overtaken me; I had met with distress and sorrow: (Sheol h7585)

4 Y llamé el nombre de Jehová: Escapa ahora mi alma, o! Jehová.

I then called on the name of the Lord, I beseech thee, O Lord, release my soul.

5 Clemente es Jehová y justo, y misericordioso nuestro Dios.

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; and our God is merciful.

6 Guarda a los sencillos Jehová: yo estaba debilitado y salvóme.

The Lord preserveth the simple: I was in misery, and he helped me.

7 Vuelve, o! alma mía, a tu reposo; porque Jehová te ha hecho bien.

Return, O my soul, unto thy rest; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8 Porque has librado mi alma de la muerte, mis ojos de las lágrimas, mis pies del rempujón.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.

9 Andaré delante de Jehová en las tierras de los vivos.

I will walk before the Lord in the land of life.

10 Creí, por tanto hablé: y fui afligido en gran manera.

I believe, therefore will I speak: I was greatly afflicted;

11 Y dije en mi apresuramiento: Todo hombre es mentiroso.

I indeed said in my despondency, Every man is a liar.

12 ¿Qué pagaré a Jehová por todos sus beneficios sobre mí?

What shall I give in return unto the Lord for all his bounties toward me?

13 El vaso de saludes tomaré; e invocaré el nombre de Jehová.

The cup of salvation will I lift up, and on the name of the Lord will I call.

14 Ahora pagaré mis votos a Jehová delante de todo su pueblo.

My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people.

15 Estimada es en los ojos de Jehová la muerte de sus piadosos.

Grievous in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his pious ones.

16 Así es, o! Jehová; porque yo soy tu siervo, yo soy tu siervo, hijo de tu sierva, tú rompiste mis prisiones.

O Lord, truly am I thy servant, I am thy servant, —the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosened my fetters.

17 A ti sacrificaré sacrificio de alabanza; y el nombre de Jehová invocaré.

Unto thee will I offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and on the name of the Lord will I call.

18 Ahora pagaré mis votos a Jehová delante de todo su pueblo;

My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people,

19 En los patios de la casa de Jehová; en medio de ti, o! Jerusalem. Alelu- Jah.

In the courts of the house of the Lord, in thy midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
