Salmos 11

1 En Jehová he confiado, ¿cómo decís a mi alma: Muévete a vuestro monte, como ave?

I trust that Yahweh will protect [MTY] me. So do not [RHQ] say to me, “You need to escape/flee to the mountains like birds do,

2 Porque, he aquí, los malos flecharon el arco: apercibieron sus saetas sobre la cuerda para asaetear en oculto a los rectos de corazón.

because wicked people have hidden in the darkness, they have pulled back their bowstrings and aimed their arrows to shoot them at godly/righteous [IDM] people [like you].

3 Porque los fundamentos serán derribados: ¿el justo qué ha hecho?

When people are not punished for disobeying the laws, (what can righteous people do?/there is not much that righteous people can do.)” [RHQ]

4 Jehová en el templo de su santidad: Jehová en el cielo su trono: sus ojos ven, sus párpados prueban a los hijos de los hombres.

But Yahweh is sitting on his throne in his sacred temple in heaven, and he [SYN] watches everything that people do.

5 Jehová prueba al justo, y al malo, y al que ama la rapiña aborrece su alma.

Yahweh examines what righteous people do and what wicked people do, and he hates those who like to perform violent actions [to injure others].

6 Lloverá sobre los malos lazos, fuego y azufre; y viento de torbellinos será la parte de su vaso.

He will send down [from the sky] flaming coals and burning sulfur, and send scorching hot winds to punish wicked people.

7 Porque el justo Jehová amó las justicias: al recto mirará su rostro.

Yahweh is righteous and he loves those who act righteously; righteous people are able to come into his presence.
