Salmos 107
1 Alabád a Jehová, porque es bueno; porque para siempre es su misericordia.
O give thanks to Yahweh—For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.
2 Dígan lo los redimidos de Jehová, los que ha redimido de poder del enemigo,
Let the redeemed of Yahweh say, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;
3 Y los ha congregado de las tierras, del oriente y del occidente, del aquilón y de la mar.
And, out of the lands, hath gathered them—From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.
4 Anduvieron perdidos por el desierto, por la soledad sin camino: no hallando ciudad de población.
They wandered about in the desert—in a waste, Way to a city to dwell in, found they none;
5 Hambrientos, y sedientos: su alma desfallecía en ellos.
Hungry—yea thirsty, their soul, within them, fainted:
6 Y clamaron a Jehová en su angustia; y escapólos de sus aflicciones.
Then made they outcry to Yahweh, in their peril, Out of their distresses, he rescued them;
7 Y encaminólos en camino derecho; para que viniesen a ciudad de población.
And led them by a straight road, That they might journey to a city to dwell in.
8 Alaben pues ellos la misericordia de Jehová, y sus maravillas con los hijos de los hombres.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men;
9 Porque hartó al alma menesterosa; y al alma hambrienta hinchió de bien.
For he hath satisfied the longing soul, and, the famished soul, hath he filled with good.
10 Los que moraban en tinieblas, y sombra de muerte, aprisionados en aflicción, y en hierros;
The dwellers in darkness and death-shade, bound with oppression and iron;
11 Por cuanto fueron rebeldes a las palabras de Jehová; y aborrecieron el consejo del Altísimo:
Because they had rebelled against the sayings of GOD, —and, the counsel of the Most High, they had spurned;
12 Y él quebrantó con trabajo sus corazones: cayeron, y no hubo quien les ayudase:
And he bowed down, with labour, their heart, They staggered, with no one to help,
13 Y clamaron a Jehová en su angustia: escapólos de sus aflicciones.
Then made they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, Out of their distresses, he saved them;
14 Sacólos de las tinieblas, y de la sombra de muerte; y rompió sus prisiones.
He brought them forth out of darkness and death-shade, and, their fetters, he tare off.
15 Alaben pues ellos la misericordia de Jehová, y sus maravillas con los hijos de los hombres.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
16 Porque quebrantó las puertas de acero; y desmenuzó los cerrojos de hierro.
For he brake in pieces the doors of bronze, And, the bars of iron, he hewed asunder.
17 Insensatos, a causa del camino de su rebelión; y a causa de sus maldades fueron afligidos.
The perverse, by reason of their transgression, and on account of their iniquities, are afflicted;
18 Su alma abominó toda vianda; y llegaron hasta las puertas de la muerte.
All manner of food, their soul abhorreth, and so they draw near unto the gates of death,
19 Y clamaron a Jehová en su angustia; y salvólos de sus aflicciones.
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he saveth them.
20 Envió su palabra, y curólos; y escapólos de sus sepulturas.
He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their graves.
21 Alaben pues ellos la misericordia de Jehová; y sus maravillas con los hijos de los hombres.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
22 Y sacrifiquen sacrificios de alabanza; y enarren sus obras con jubilación.
Yea let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and recount his works with a shout.
23 Los que descendieron a la mar en navíos: y contratan en las muchas aguas;
Men who go down to the sea, in ships, doing business through mighty waters;
24 Ellos han visto las obras de Jehová, y sus maravillas en el mar profundo.
They, see the works of Yahweh, and his wonders in the deep;
25 El dijo, y salió el viento de la tempestad, que levanta sus ondas:
And he speaketh, and there ariseth a tempestuous wind, which lifteth on high its rolling waves;
26 Suben a los cielos, descienden a los abismos: sus almas se derriten con el mal.
They mount the heavens, they descend the roaring deeps, their soul, by trouble, dissolveth;
27 Tiemblan, y titubean como borrachos; y toda su ciencia es perdida.
They reel and stagger, like a drunken man, and, all their wisdom, is engulfed,
28 Y claman a Jehová en su angustia; y escápalos de sus aflicciones.
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he bringeth them forth,
29 Hace parar la tempestad en silencio; y callan sus ondas.
He calmeth the storm to a whisper, and silent are their rolling waves:
30 Y alégranse, porque se reposaron; y guíalos al puerto que quieren.
Then are they glad, because they are hushed, And he guideth them unto their desired haven.
31 Alaben pues ellos la misericordia de Jehová, y sus maravillas con los hijos de los hombres.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
32 Y ensálcenle en congregación de pueblo; y en consistorio de ancianos le loen.
Yea let them extol him in the convocation of the people, and, in the seated company of elders, let them praise him.
33 Vuelve los ríos en desierto; y los manaderos de las aguas en sed:
He turneth Rivers into a desert, and, Springs of Water, into thirsty ground,
34 La tierra fructífera en salados; por la maldad de los que la habitan.
A Land of Fruit, into a waste of salt, For the wickedness of them who dwell therein.
35 Vuelve el desierto en estanques de aguas, y la tierra seca en manaderos de aguas:
He turneth A Desert, into a pool of water, and, A Parched Land into springs of water;
36 Y aposenta allí hambrientos; y aderezan allí ciudad de población:
And hath caused the famished to dwell there, And they have built them a city to dwell in;
37 Y siembran campos, y plantan viñas; y hacen fruto de renta:
And have sown fields, and planted vineyards, and made them fruits of increase:
38 Y bendícelos, y se multiplican en gran manera: y no disminuye sus bestias.
Thus hath he blessed them, and they have multiplied greatly, And, their cattle, he maketh not few.
39 Y después son menoscabados, y abatidos de tiranía, de males, y de congojas.
So have they become few and been brought low, By oppression, misfortune, and sorrow;
40 El derrama menosprecio sobre los príncipes: y les hace andar errantes, vagabundos, sin camino.
He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;
41 Y levanta al pobre de la pobreza; y vuelve las familias como ovejas.
But he hath set the needy on high from affliction, and made families, like a flock: —
42 Vean los rectos, y alégrense; y toda maldad cierre su boca.
The upright seeth and is glad, And, all perverseness, hath closed her mouth.
43 ¿Quién es sabio, y guardará estas cosas; y entenderá las misericordias de Jehová?
Who is wise? then let him observe these things! and diligently consider the lovingkindness of Yahweh.
