Proverbios 8
1 ¿No clama la sabiduría; y la inteligencia da su voz?
Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
2 En los altos cabezos, junto al camino, a las encrucijadas de las veredas se para:
She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
3 En el lugar de las puertas, a la entrada de la ciudad: a la entrada de las puertas da voces:
She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
4 O! hombres, a vosotros clamo; y mi voz es a los hijos de los hombres.
Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
5 Entendéd simples astucia; y vosotros insensatos, tomád entendimiento:
O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
6 Oíd, porque hablaré cosas excelentes, y abriré mis labios para cosas rectas.
Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7 Porque mi paladar hablará verdad; y mis labios abominan la impiedad.
For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8 En justicia son todas las razones de mi boca: no hay en ellas cosa perversa, ni torcida.
All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing crooked or perverse in them.
9 Todas ellas son rectas al que entiende; y rectas a los que han hallado sabiduría.
They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10 Recibíd mi castigo, y no la plata; y ciencia, mas que el oro escogido.
Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
11 Porque mejor es la sabiduría que las piedras preciosas; y todas las cosas que se pueden desear, no se pueden comparar a ella.
For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
12 Yo, la sabiduría, moré con la astucia; y yo invento la ciencia de los consejos.
I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
13 El temor de Jehová es aborrecer el mal; la soberbia, y la arrogancia, y el mal camino, y la boca perversa aborrezco.
The fear of Yhwh is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth, do I hate.
14 Conmigo está el consejo, y el ser: yo soy la inteligencia; mía es la fortaleza.
Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
15 Por mí reinan los reyes, y los príncipes determinan justicia.
By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
16 Por mí dominan los príncipes, y todos los gobernadores juzgan la tierra.
By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
17 Yo amo a los que me aman; y los que me buscan, me hallan.
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
18 Las riquezas y la honra están conmigo, riqueza firme y justa.
Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
19 Mejor es mi fruto que el oro, y que el oro refinado; y mi renta, que la plata escogida.
My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
20 Por vereda de justicia guiaré, por medio de veredas de juicio.
I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
21 Para hacer heredar a mis amigos el ser, y que yo hincha sus tesoros.
That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
22 Jehová me poseyó en el principio de su camino, desde entonces, antes de sus obras.
Yhwh possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 Eternalmente tuve el principado, desde el principio, antes de la tierra.
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
24 Antes de los abismos fui engendrada; antes que fuesen las fuentes de las muchas aguas:
When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Antes que los montes fuesen fundados: antes de los collados, yo era engendrada.
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
26 No había aun hecho la tierra, ni las plazas, ni la cabeza de los polvos del mundo.
While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
27 Cuando componía los cielos, allí estaba yo; cuando señalaba por compás la sobrehaz del abismo:
When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28 Cuando afirmaba los cielos arriba: cuando afirmaba las fuentes del abismo:
When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 Cuando ponía a la mar su estatuto; y a las aguas, que no pasasen su mandamiento: cuando señalaba los fundamentos de la tierra:
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30 Con él estaba yo por ama, y fui en delicias todos los días, teniendo solaz delante de él en todo tiempo.
Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
31 Tengo solaz en la redondez de su tierra; y mis solaces son con los hijos de los hombres.
Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
32 Ahora pues, hijos, oídme; y bienaventurados los que guardaren mis caminos.
Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
33 Obedecéd la instrucción, y sed sabios; y no la menospreciéis.
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
34 Bienaventurado el hombre que me oye, trasnochando a mis puertas cada día: guardando los umbrales de mis entradas.
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
35 Porque el que me hallare, hallará la vida; y alcanzará la voluntad de Jehová.
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of Yhwh.
36 Mas el que peca contra mí, defrauda a su alma: todos los que me aborrecen, aman la muerte.
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
