Proverbios 15
1 La blanda respuesta quita la ira: mas la palabra de dolor hace subir el furor.
A soft answer, turneth away wrath, but a cutting word raiseth anger.
2 La lengua de los sabios adornará a la sabiduría: mas la boca de los insensatos hablará fatuidad.
The tongue of the wise, adorneth knowledge, —but, the mouth of dullards, belcheth out folly.
3 Los ojos de Jehová en todo lugar están mirando los buenos y los malos.
In every place, are the eyes of Yahweh, observing the evil and the good.
4 La lengua saludable es árbol de vida: mas la perversidad en ella es quebrantamiento de espíritu.
Gentleness of the tongue, is a tree of life, but, crookedness therein, a grievous wound in the spirit.
5 El insensato menosprecia la enseñanza de su padre: mas el que guarda la corrección, saldrá cuerdo.
A foolish [son], spurneth the correction of his father, but, he that heedeth a reproof, sheweth prudence.
6 En la casa del justo hay gran provisión: mas en los frutos del impío, turbación.
The household of the righteous man, is a great treasure, but, in the increase of the lawless, is disturbance.
7 Los labios de los sabios esparcen sabiduría: mas el corazón de los insensatos no así.
The lips of the wise, scatter abroad knowledge, but, the heart of dullards, is not right.
8 El sacrificio de los impíos es abominación a Jehová: mas la oración de los rectos es su contentamiento.
The sacrifice of lawless men, is an abomination to Yahweh, but, the prayer of the upright, is his delight.
9 Abominación es a Jehová el camino del impío: mas él ama al que sigue justicia.
An abomination to Yahweh, is the way of the lawless, but, the pursuer of righteousness, he loveth.
10 El castigo es molesto al que deja el camino: mas el que aborreciere la corrección, morirá.
There is, grievous correction, for him that forsaketh the right path, He that hateth rebuke, shall die.
11 El infierno y la perdición están delante de Jehová: ¿cuánto más los corazones de los hombres? (Sheol h7585)
Hades and destruction, are before Yahweh, how much more then, the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
12 El burlador no ama al que le castiga: ni se allega a los sabios.
A scoffer, loveth not, one who reproveth him, unto the wise, doth he not go.
13 El corazón alegre hermosea el rostro: mas por el dolor del corazón el espíritu es triste.
A joyful heart, maketh a pleasing countenance, —but, in sorrow of heart, is a stricken spirit.
14 El corazón entendido busca la sabiduría: mas la boca de los insensatos pace fatuidad.
The heart of the intelligent, seeketh knowledge, but, the mouth of dullards, feedeth on folly.
15 Todos los días del afligido son trabajosos: mas el buen corazón, convite continuo.
All the days of the afflicted, are sorrowful, but, a cheerful heart, is a continual banquet.
16 Mejor es lo poco con el temor de Jehová, que el gran tesoro donde hay turbación.
Better is a little, with the reverence of Yahweh, than great treasure, and disquietude therewith.
17 Mejor es la comida de legumbres donde hay amor, que de buey engordado, donde hay odio.
Better is an allowance of herbs, and love, there, than a fatted ox, and hatred therewith.
18 El hombre iracundo revolverá contiendas: mas el que tarde se enoja, amansará la rencilla.
A wrathful man, stirreth up strife, but, he that is slow to anger, calmeth contention.
19 El camino del perezoso es como seto de espinos: mas la vereda de los rectos es solada.
The way of the sluggard, is like a thorn hedge, but, the path of the upright, is a raised road.
20 El hijo sabio alegra al padre: mas el hombre insensato menosprecia a su madre.
A wise son, maketh a glad father, —but, a dullard, despiseth his own mother.
21 La insensatez es alegría al falto de entendimiento: mas el hombre entendido enderezará el caminar.
Folly, is joy to him that lacketh sense, —but, a man of understanding, taketh a straight course.
22 Los pensamientos son frustrados donde no hay consejo: mas en la multitud de consejeros se afirman.
Plans, are frustrated, for lack of consultation, but, by the multitude of counsellors, shall counsel, be established.
23 El hombre se alegra con la respuesta de su boca; y la palabra a su tiempo, ¡cuán buena es!
A man hath joy, in the answer of his own mouth, and, a word in its season, —how good!
24 El camino de la vida es hacia arriba al entendido; para apartarse de la sima de abajo. (Sheol h7585)
The way of life, is upwards to the prudent, that he may depart from hades beneath. (Sheol h7585)
25 Jehová asolará la casa de los soberbios: mas él afirmará el término de la viuda.
The house of proud men, will Yahweh tear down, but he will maintain the boundary of the widow.
26 Abominación son a Jehová los pensamientos del malo: mas las hablas de los limpios son limpias.
An abomination to Yahweh, are the plottings of the wicked, but, with the pure, are sayings of sweetness.
27 Alborota su casa el codicioso: mas el que aborrece los presentes, vivirá.
He, troubleth his own house, who graspeth with greed, but, he that hateth gifts, shall live.
28 El corazón del justo piensa para responder: mas la boca de los impíos derrama malas cosas.
The heart of the righteous, studieth to answer, but, the mouth of the lawless, belcheth out mischiefs.
29 Lejos está Jehová de los impíos, mas él oye la oración de los justos.
Far off is Yahweh, from the lawless, but, the prayer of the righteous, will he hear.
30 La luz de los ojos alegra el corazón: y la buena fama engorda los huesos.
The sparkling of bright eyes, rejoiceth the heart, Good news, giveth marrow to the bones.
31 El oído que escucha la corrección de vida, entre los sabios morará.
The ear that heareth the reproof which giveth life, in the midst of the wise, shall remain.
32 El que tiene en poco el castigo, menosprecia su alma: mas el que escucha la corrección tiene entendimiento.
He that declineth correction, despiseth his own soul, but, he that heareth reproof, gaineth sense.
33 El temor de Jehová es enseñamiento de sabiduría; y delante de la honra la humildad.
The reverence of Yahweh, is the correction of wisdom, and, before honour, is humility.
