Proverbios 12
1 El que ama el castigo, ama la sabiduría: mas el que aborrece la reprensión, es ignorante.
He that loueth instruction, loueth knowledge: but he that hateth correction, is a foole.
2 El bueno alcanzará favor de Jehová: mas él condenará al hombre de malos pensamientos.
A good man getteth fauour of the Lord: but the man of wicked immaginations will hee condemne.
3 El hombre malo no permanecerá: mas la raíz de los justos no será movida,
A man cannot be established by wickednesse: but the roote of the righteous shall not be mooued.
4 La mujer virtuosa corona es de su marido: mas la mala, como carcoma en sus huesos.
A vertuous woman is the crowne of her husband: but she that maketh him ashamed, is as corruption in his bones.
5 Los pensamientos de los justos son juicio: mas las astucias de los impíos engaño.
The thoughtes of the iust are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceitfull.
6 Las palabras de los impíos son asechar a la sangre: mas la boca de los rectos les librará.
The talking of the wicked is to lye in waite for blood: but the mouth of the righteous will deliuer them.
7 Dios trastornará a los impíos, y no serán más: mas la casa de los justos permanecerá.
God ouerthroweth the wicked, and they are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
8 Según su sabiduría es alabado el hombre: mas el perverso de corazón será en menosprecio.
A man shall be commended for his wisedome: but the froward of heart shalbe despised.
9 Mejor es el que se menosprecia, y tiene siervos, que el que se precia, y carece de pan.
He that is despised, and is his owne seruant, is better then he that boasteth himselfe and lacketh bread.
10 El justo conoce el alma de su bestia: mas la piedad de los impíos es cruel.
A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the mercies of the wicked are cruell.
11 El que labra su tierra, se hartará de pan: mas el que sigue a los vagabundos es falto de entendimiento.
He that tilleth his lande, shalbe satisfied with bread: but he that followeth the idle, is destitute of vnderstanding.
12 Desea el impío la red de los malos: mas la raíz de los justos dará fruto.
The wicked desireth the net of euils: but the roote of the righteous giueth fruite.
13 El impío es enredado en la prevaricación de sus labios: mas el justo saldrá de la tribulación.
The euill man is snared by the wickednesse of his lips, but the iust shall come out of aduersitie.
14 Del fruto de la boca el hombre será harto de bien; y la paga de las manos del hombre le será dada.
A man shalbe satiate with good things by the fruite of his mouth, and the recompence of a mans hands shall God giue vnto him.
15 El camino del insensato es derecho en su opinión: mas el que obedece al consejo es sabio.
The way of a foole is right in his owne eyes: but he that heareth counsell, is wise.
16 El insensato a la hora se conocerá su ira: mas el que disimula la injuria es cuerdo.
A foole in a day shall be knowen by his anger: but he that couereth shame, is wise.
17 El que habla verdad, declara justicia: mas el testigo mentiroso, engaño.
He that speaketh trueth, will shewe righteousnes: but a false witnes vseth deceite.
18 Hay algunos que hablan como estocadas de espada: mas la lengua de los sabios es medicina.
There is that speaketh wordes like the prickings of a sworde: but the tongue of wise men is health.
19 El labio de verdad permanecerá para siempre: mas la lengua de mentira, por un momento.
The lip of trueth shall be stable for euer: but a lying tongue varieth incontinently.
20 Engaño hay en el corazón de los que piensan mal: mas alegría en el de los que piensan bien.
Deceite is in the heart of them that imagine euill: but to the counsellers of peace shall be ioye.
21 Ninguna adversidad acontecerá al justo; mas los impíos serán llenos de mal.
There shall none iniquitie come to the iust: but the wicked are full of euill.
22 Los labios mentirosos son abominación a Jehová: mas los obradores de verdad, su contentamiento.
The lying lips are an abomination to the Lord: but they that deale truely are his delite.
23 El hombre cuerdo encubre la sabiduría: mas el corazón de los insensatos predica la fatuidad.
A wise man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of the fooles publisheth foolishnes.
24 La mano de los diligentes se enseñoreará: mas la negligente será tributaria.
The hand of the diligent shall beare rule: but the idle shalbe vnder tribute.
25 El cuidado congojoso en el corazón del hombre le abate: mas la buena palabra le alegra.
Heauines in the heart of man doeth bring it downe: but a good worde reioyceth it.
26 El justo hace ventaja a su prójimo: mas el camino de los impíos les hace errar.
The righteous is more excellent then his neighbour: but the way of the wicked will deceiue them.
27 El engaño no chamuscará su caza: mas el haber precioso del hombre es la diligencia.
The deceitfull man rosteth not, that hee tooke in hunting: but the riches of the diligent man are precious.
28 En la vereda de justicia está la vida; y el camino de su vereda no es muerte.
Life is in the way of righteousnesse, and in that path way there is no death.
