Proverbios 11
1 El peso falso abominación es a Jehová: mas la pesa perfecta le agrada.
False scales are an abomination to the LORD; But a perfect weight is his delight.
2 Cuando vino la soberbia, vino también la deshonra: mas con los humildes es la sabiduría.
When pride cometh, then cometh disgrace; But with the humble is wisdom.
3 La perfección de los rectos los encaminará: mas la perversidad de los pecadores los echará a perder.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them; But the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
4 No aprovecharán las riquezas en el día de la ira: mas la justicia escapará de la muerte.
Riches do not profit in the day of wrath; But righteousness delivereth from death.
5 La justicia del perfecto enderezará su camino; mas el impío por su impiedad caerá.
The righteousness of the good man maketh his way plain; But the wicked falleth through his wickedness.
6 La justicia de los rectos los escapará; mas los pecadores en su pecado serán presos.
The righteousness of the upright delivereth them; But transgressors are ensnared in their own mischief.
7 Cuando muere el hombre impío, perece su esperanza; y la esperanza de los malos perecerá.
When the wicked man dieth, his hope cometh to an end; Yea, the expectation of the unjust cometh to an end.
8 El justo es escapado de la tribulación: mas el impío viene en su lugar.
The righteous man is delivered from trouble, And the wicked cometh into it in his stead.
9 El hipócrita con la boca daña a su prójimo; mas los justos con la sabiduría son escapados.
By his mouth the vile man destroyeth his neighbor; But by the knowledge of the righteous are men delivered.
10 En el bien de los justos la ciudad se alegra: mas cuando los impíos perecen hay fiestas.
When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth; And when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11 Por la bendición de los rectos la ciudad será engrandecida; mas por la boca de los impíos ella será trastornada.
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted; But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 El que carece de entendimiento, menosprecia a su prójimo; mas el hombre prudente calla.
He who despiseth his neighbor is void of understanding; A man of discernment holdeth his peace.
13 El que anda en chismes, descubre el secreto; mas el de espíritu fiel encubre la cosa.
He who goeth about as a tale-bearer revealeth secrets; But he who is of a faithful spirit concealeth a matter.
14 Cuando faltaren las industrias, el pueblo caerá; mas en la multitud de consejeros está la salud.
Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in a multitude of counsellors there is safety.
15 De aflicción será afligido el que fiare al extraño; mas el que aborreciere las fianzas vivirá confiado.
He that is surety for another shall smart for it; But he that hateth suretyship is sure.
16 La mujer graciosa tendrá honra; y los fuertes tendrán riquezas.
A graceful woman obtaineth honor, Even as strong men obtain riches.
17 A su alma hace bien el hombre misericordioso; mas el cruel atormenta su carne.
He that doeth good to himself is a man of kindness; But he that tormenteth his own flesh is cruel.
18 El impío hace obra falsa; mas el que sembrare justicia, tendrá galardón firme.
The wicked toileth for deceitful wages; But he who soweth righteousness shall have a sure reward.
19 Como la justicia es para vida, así el que sigue el mal es para su muerte.
As righteousness tendeth to life, So he who pursueth evil pursueth it to his death.
20 Abominación son a Jehová los perversos de corazón: mas los perfectos de camino le son agradables.
The perverse in heart are the abomination of the LORD; But the upright in their way are his delight.
21 Aunque llegue la mano a la mano, el malo no quedará sin castigo; mas la simiente de los justos escapará.
From generation to generation the wicked shall not go unpunished; But the posterity of the righteous shall be delivered.
22 Zarcillo de oro en la nariz del puerco es la mujer hermosa, y apartada de razón.
As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, So is a beautiful woman who is without discretion.
23 El deseo de los justos solamente es bueno; mas la esperanza de los impíos es enojo.
The desire of the righteous is only good; But the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
24 Hay unos que reparten, y les es añadido más: hay otros que son escasos más de lo que es justo; mas vienen a pobreza.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; And there is that withholdeth more than is right, yet he cometh to want.
25 El alma liberal será engordada; y el que hartare, él también será harto.
The bountiful man shall be enriched, And he that watereth shall himself be watered.
26 El que detiene el grano, el pueblo le maldecirá: mas bendición será sobre la cabeza del que vende.
Him that keepeth back corn the people curse; But blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
27 El que madruga al bien, hallará favor: mas el que busca el mal, venirle ha.
He, who earnestly seeketh good, seeketh favor; But he that seeketh mischief, it shall come upon him.
28 El que confía en sus riquezas, caerá; mas los justos reverdecerán como ramos.
He who trusteth in his riches shall fall; But the righteous shall flourish as a leaf.
29 El que turba su casa, heredará viento; y el insensato será siervo del sabio de corazón.
He that harasseth his household shall inherit wind; And the fool shall be the servant of the wise.
30 El fruto del justo es árbol de vida, y el que caza almas, es sabio.
The fruit of a righteous man is a tree of life; And the wise man winneth souls.
31 Ciertamente el justo será pagado en la tierra: ¿cuánto más el impío y pecador?
Behold, the righteous man is requited on the earth; Much more the wicked man and the sinner!
