Números 5
1 Ítem, Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 Manda a los hijos de Israel que echen del campo a todo leproso y a todos los que padecen flujo de simiente, y a todo contaminado sobre muerto.
Command the children of Israel, that they cast out of the camp every leper, and whosoever hath an issue of seed, or is defiled by the dead:
3 Así hombres como mujeres echaréis: fuera del campo los echaréis, porque no contaminen el campo de aquellos entre los cuales yo habito.
Whether it be man or woman, cast ye them out of the camp, lest they defile it when I shall dwell with you.
4 Y los hijos de Israel lo hicieron así, que los echaron fuera del campo: como Jehová dijo a Moisés, así lo hicieron los hijos de Israel.
And the children of Israel did so, and they cast them forth without the camp, as the Lord had spoken to Moses.
5 Ítem, habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
6 Habla a los hijos de Israel: El hombre o la mujer que hicieren alguno de todos los pecados de los hombres, haciendo prevaricación contra Jehová, y pecare aquella persona,
Say to the children of Israel: When a man or woman shall have committed any of all the sins that men are wont to commit, and by negligence shall have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and offended,
7 Confesarán sus pecados que hicieron, y restituirán su culpa enteramente, y añadirán su quinto sobre ello, y darlo han a aquel contra quien pecaron.
They shall confess their sin, and restore the principal itself, and the fifth part over and above, to him against whom they have sinned.
8 Y si aquel varón no tuviere redentor al cual el delito sea restituido, el delito se restituirá a Jehová, al sacerdote, allende del carnero de las expiaciones con el cual lo expiará.
But if there be no one to receive it, they shall give it to the Lord, and it shall be the priest’s, besides the ram that is offered for expiation, to be an atoning sacrifice.
9 Y toda ofrenda de todas las santificaciones, que los hijos de Israel ofrecieren al sacerdote, suya será.
All the firstfruits also, which the children of Israel offer, belong to the priest:
10 Y lo santificado de cualquiera, suyo será: y lo que cualquiera diere al sacerdote, suyo será.
And whatsoever is offered into the sanctuary by every one, and is delivered into the hands of the priest, it shall be his.
11 Ítem, Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
12 Habla a los hijos de Israel, y díles: Cuando la mujer de alguno errare, e hiciere traición contra él,
Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: The man whose wife shall have gone astray, and contemning her husband,
13 Que alguno se hubiere echado con ella por ayuntamiento de simiente, y su marido no lo hubiere visto por haberse ella contaminado ocultamente, ni hubiere testigo contra ella, ni ella hubiere sido tomada,
Shall have slept with another man, and her husband cannot discover it, but the adultery is secret, and cannot be proved by witnesses, because she was not found in the adultery:
14 Si viniere sobre él espíritu de celo, y tuviere celos de su mujer, habiéndose ella contaminado; o viniere sobre él espíritu de celo, y tuviere celos de su mujer, no habiéndose ella contaminado;
If the spirit of jealousy stir up the husband against his wife, who either is defiled, or is charged with false suspicion,
15 Entonces el marido traerá su mujer al sacerdote, y traerá su ofrenda con ella, una diezma de un efa de harina de cebada: no echará sobre ella aceite, ni pondrá sobre ella incienso; porque es presente de celos, presente de recordación, que trae en memoria pecado:
He shall bring her to the priest, and shall offer an oblation for her, the tenth part of a measure of barley meal: he shall not pour oil thereon, nor put frankincense upon it: because it is a sacrifice of jealousy, and an oblation searching out adultery.
16 Y el sacerdote la hará llegar, y la hará poner delante de Jehová.
The priest therefore shall offer it, and set it before the Lord.
17 Y tomará el sacerdote del agua santa en un vaso de barro; y tomará también el sacerdote del polvo que hubiere en el suelo del tabernáculo, y echarlo ha en el agua:
And he shall take holy water in an earthen vessel, and he shall cast a little earth of the pavement of the tabernacle into it.
18 Y hará el sacerdote estar en pie a la mujer delante de Jehová, y descubrirá la cabeza de la mujer, y pondrá sobre sus manos el presente de la recordación, que es el presente de celos, y el sacerdote tendrá en la mano las aguas amargas malditas;
And when the woman shall stand before the Lord, he shall uncover her head, and shall, put on her hands the sacrifice of remembrance, and the oblation of jealousy: and he himself shall hold the most bitter waters, whereon he hath heaped curses with execration.
19 Y el sacerdote la conjurará y la dirá: Si ninguno hubiere dormido contigo, y si no te has apartado de tu marido a inmundicia, sé limpia de estas aguas amargas malditas;
And he shall adjure her, and shall say: If another man hath not slept with thee, and if thou be not defiled by forsaking thy husband’s bed, these most bitter waters, on which I have heaped curses, shall not hurt thee.
20 Mas si te has apartado de tu marido, y te has contaminado, y alguno hubiere puesto en ti su simiente fuera de tu marido;
But if thou hast gone aside from thy husband, and art defiled, and hast lain with another man:
21 El sacerdote conjurará a la mujer de conjuro de maldición, y dirá a la mujer: Jehová te dé en maldición, y en conjuración en medio de tu pueblo, haciendo Jehová a tu muslo que caiga, y a tu vientre que se te hinche,
These curses shall light upon thee: The Lord make thee a curse, and an example for all among his people: may he make thy thigh to rot, and may thy belly swell and burst asunder.
22 Y estas aguas malditas entren en tus entrañas, y hagan hinchar tu vientre, y caer tu muslo. Y la mujer dirá, Amén, Amén.
Let the cursed waters enter into thy belly, and may thy womb swell and thy thigh rot. And the woman shall answer, Amen, amen.
23 Y el sacerdote escribirá estas maldiciones en un libro, y desleirlas ha con las aguas amargas.
And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and shall wash them out with the most bitter waters, upon which he hath heaped the curses,
24 Y dará a beber a la mujer las aguas amargas malditas, y las aguas malditas entrarán en ella por amargas.
And he shall give them her to drink. And when she hath drunk them up,
25 Y tomará el sacerdote de la mano de la mujer el presente de los celos, y mecerlo ha delante de Jehová, y ofrecerlo ha delante del altar.
The priest shall take from her hand the sacrifice of jealousy, and shall elevate it before the Lord, and shall put it upon the altar: yet so as first,
26 Y el sacerdote tomará un puño del presente en memoria de ella, y hará perfume de ello sobre el altar, y después dará a beber las aguas a la mujer.
To take a handful of the sacrifice of that which is offered, and burn it upon the altar: and so give the most bitter waters to the woman to drink.
27 Y darle ha a beber las aguas; y será, que si fuere inmunda, y hubiere hecho traición contra su marido, las aguas malditas entrarán en ella en amargura, y su vientre se hinchará, y su muslo caerá; y la tal mujer será por maldición en medio de su pueblo:
And when she hath drunk them, if she be defiled, and having despised her husband be guilty of adultery, the malediction shall go through her, and her belly swelling, her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse, and an example to all the people.
28 Mas si la mujer no fuere inmunda, mas fuere limpia, ella será libre, y asementará simiente.
But if she be not defiled, she shall not be hurt, and shall bear children.
29 Esta es la ley de los celos, cuando la mujer errare en poder de su marido, y se contaminare:
This is the law of jealousy. If a woman hath gone aside from her husband, and be defiled,
30 O, del marido, sobre el cual pasare espíritu de celo, y tuviere celos de su mujer, y la presentare delante de Jehová; el sacerdote la hará toda esta ley.
And the husband stirred up by the spirit of jealousy bring her before the Lord, and the priest do to her according to all things that are here written:
31 Y aquel varón será libre de iniquidad, y la mujer llevará su pecado.
The husband shall be blameless, and she shall bear her iniquity.
