Números 27
1 Y las hijas de Salfaad, hijo de Jefer, hijo de Galaad, hijo de Maquir, hijo de Manasés, de las familias de Manasés, hijo de José, los nombres de las cuales eran Maala, y Noa, y Hegla, y Melca, y Tersa, llegaron:
Then the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph, drew near. And these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
2 Y presentáronse delante de Moisés y delante de Eleazar el sacerdote, y delante de los príncipes, y de toda la congregación, a la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio, y dijeron:
And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the rulers and all the congregation, at the door of the tent of meeting, saying,
3 Nuestro padre murió en el desierto, el cual no fue en la congregación que se juntó contra Jehová en la compañía de Coré: que en su pecado murió, y no tuvo hijos.
Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against Jehovah in the company of Korah, but he died in his own sin, and he had no sons.
4 ¿Por qué será quitado el nombre de nuestro padre de entre su familia, por no haber tenido hijo? Dádnos heredad entre los hermanos de nuestro padre.
Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he had no son? Give to us a possession among the brothers of our father.
5 Y Moisés llevó su causa delante de Jehová:
And Moses brought their case before Jehovah.
6 Y Jehová respondió a Moisés, diciendo:
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
7 Derecho piden las hijas de Salfaad: darles has posesión de heredad entre los hermanos de su padre, y traspasarás la heredad de su padre a ellas.
The daughters of Zelophehad speak right. Thou shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brothers, and thou shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.
8 Y a los hijos de Israel hablarás, diciendo: Cuando alguno muriere sin hijo, traspaseréis su herencia a su hija.
And thou shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, If a man dies, and has no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.
9 Y si no tuviere hija, daréis su herencia a sus hermanos:
And if he has no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance to his brothers.
10 Y si no tuviere hermanos, daréis su herencia a los hermanos de su padre:
And if he has no brothers, then ye shall give his inheritance to his father's brothers.
11 Y si su padre no tuviere hermanos, daréis su herencia a su pariente más cercano de su linaje, el cual la heredará: y será a los hijos de Israel por ley de derecho, como Jehová mandó a Moisés.
And if his father has no brothers, then ye shall give his inheritance to his kinsman who is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it. And it shall be to the sons of Israel a statute and ordinance, as Jehovah commanded Moses.
12 Ítem, Jehová dijo a Moisés: Sube a este monte Abarim, y verás la tierra que he dado a los hijos de Israel.
And Jehovah said to Moses, Get thee up onto this mountain of Abarim, and behold the land which I have given to the sons of Israel.
13 Y verla has, y serás ayuntado a tus pueblos tú también, como fue ayuntado tu hermano Aarón.
And when thou have seen it, thou also shall be gathered to thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered,
14 Como os rebelasteis contra mi dicho en el desierto de Zin en la rencilla de la congregación, para santificarme en las aguas en los ojos de ellos: Estas son las aguas de la rencilla de Cádes en el desierto de Zin.
because ye rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the waters before their eyes. (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)
15 Entonces Moisés repondió a Jehová, diciendo:
And Moses spoke to Jehovah, saying,
16 Ponga Jehová, Dios de los espíritus de toda carne, varón sobre la congregación,
Let Jehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
17 Que salga delante de ellos, y que entre delante de ellos, que los saque y los meta; porque la congregación de Jehová no sea como ovejas sin pastor.
who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, that the congregation of Jehovah be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
18 Y Jehová dijo a Moisés: Tómate a Josué, hijo de Nun, varón en el cual hay espíritu, y pondrás tu mano sobre él:
And Jehovah said to Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay thy hand upon him,
19 Y ponerle has delante de Eleazar el sacerdote, y delante de toda la congregación, y darle has mandamientos delante de ellos.
and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation, and give him a charge in their sight.
20 Y pondrás de tu resplandor sobre él, para que toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel le obedezcan.
And thou shall put of thine honor upon him, that all the congregation of the sons of Israel may obey.
21 Y él estará delante de Eleazar el sacerdote, y a él preguntará en el juicio del Urim delante de Jehová: por el dicho de él saldrán, y por el dicho de él entrarán, él y todos los hijos de Israel con él, y toda la congregación.
And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before Jehovah. At his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the sons of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
22 E hizo Moisés, como Jehová le mandó, que tomó a Josué, y le puso delante de Eleazar el sacerdote, y de toda la congregación:
And Moses did as Jehovah commanded him. And he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation.
23 Y puso sobre él sus manos, y dióle mandamientos, como Jehová había mandado por mano de Moisés.
And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as Jehovah spoke by Moses.
