San Mateo 21
1 Y como se acercaron a Jerusalem, y vinieron a Betfage, al monte de las Olivas, entonces Jesús envió dos discípulos,
And when they came near to Jerusalem, and came to Bethsphage, to the mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
2 Diciéndoles: Id a la aldea que está delante de vosotros, y luego hallaréis una asna atada, y un pollino con ella: desatád la, y traédme los.
saying to them, Go into the village opposite you, and straightaway ye will find a donkey tied, and a colt with it. Having loosed them, bring to me.
3 Y si alguno os dijere algo, decíd: El Señor los ha menester; y luego los dejará.
And if any man says anything to you, ye will say, The Lord has need of them, and straightaway he will send them.
4 Y todo esto fue hecho, para que se cumpliese lo que fue dicho por el profeta, que dijo:
Now all this came to pass, so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled, which says,
5 Decíd a la hija de Sión: He aquí, tu Rey te viene, manso, y sentado sobre una asna y un pollino, hijo de animal de yugo.
Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy King comes to thee, meek, and mounted upon a donkey, and a colt the foal of a pack animal.
6 Y los discípulos fueron, e hicieron como Jesús les mandó.
And the disciples having gone, and having done as Jesus commanded them,
7 Y trajeron el asna y el pollino, y pusieron sobre ellos sus mantos, y se sentó sobre ellos.
they brought the donkey and the colt, and put their garments over them. And he sat upon them.
8 Y muy mucha gente tendían sus mantos en el camino; y otros cortaban ramos de los árboles, y los tendían por el camino.
And the great multitude spread their garments on the road, and others cut down branches from the trees, and spread them on the road.
9 Y las multitudes que iban delante, y las que iban detrás aclamaban, diciendo: Hosanna al Hijo de David: Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor: Hosanna en las alturas.
And the multitudes who went ahead and those who followed, cried out, saying, Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!
10 Y entrando él en Jerusalem, toda la ciudad se alborotó, diciendo: ¿Quién es éste?
And when he entered into Jerusalem, all the city was shaken, saying, Who is this?
11 Y las multitudes decían: Este es Jesús, el profeta, de Nazaret de Galilea.
And the multitudes said, This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.
12 Y entró Jesús en el templo de Dios, y echó fuera todos los que vendían y compraban en el templo, y trastornó las mesas de los cambiadores, y las sillas de los que vendían palomas.
And Jesus entered into the temple of God, and cast out all those who sold and bought in the temple. And he overturned the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of those who sold the doves.
13 Y les dice: Escrito está: Mi casa, casa de oración será llamada; mas vosotros cueva de ladrones la habéis hecho.
And he says to them, It is written, My house will be called a house of prayer, but ye made it a den of robbers.
14 Entonces vinieron a él ciegos y cojos en el templo, y los sanó.
And the lame and the blind came to him in the temple, and he healed them.
15 Mas los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas, viendo las maravillas que hacía, y los muchachos aclamando en el templo, y diciendo: Hosanna al Hijo de David: se enojaron,
But when the chief priests and the scholars saw the wonderful things that he did, and the boys crying out in the temple and saying, Hosanna to the son of David, they were indignant,
16 Y le dijeron: ¿Oyes lo que estos dicen? Y Jesús les dice: Si: ¿Nunca leísteis: De la boca de los niños, y de los que maman perfeccionaste la alabanza?
and said to him, Do thou hear what these are saying? And Jesus says to them, Yes! Did ye never read, Out of the mouth of children and those who suckle thou have perfected praise?
17 Y dejándolos, se salió fuera de la ciudad a Betania; y posó allí.
And having left them behind, he went out of the city to Bethany, and lodged there.
18 Y por la mañana volviendo a la ciudad, tuvo hambre.
Now early while returning to the city, he was hungry.
19 Y viendo una higuera cerca del camino, vino a ella, y no halló nada en ella, sino hojas solamente; y le dijo: Nunca más nazca de ti fruto para siempre. Y luego la higuera se secó. (aiōn g165)
And having seen a fig tree, one on the way, he came to it, and found nothing on it, except leaves only. And he says to it, Let fruit no longer be produced from thee into the age. And immediately the fig tree dried out. (aiōn g165)
20 Entonces viendo esto los discípulos, maravillados decían: ¡Cómo se secó luego la higuera!
And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, How did the fig tree dry out immediately?
21 Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: De cierto os digo, que si tuviereis fe, y no dudareis, no solo haréis esto de la higuera, mas si a este monte dijereis: Quítate, y échate en la mar, será hecho.
And having answered, Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, if ye have faith, and doubt not, ye will not only do that of the fig tree, but even if ye may say to this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea, it will happen.
22 Y todo lo que pidiereis con oración creyendo, lo recibiréis.
And all things, as many as ye may ask in prayer, believing, ye will receive.
23 Y como vino al templo, los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los ancianos del pueblo llegaron a él, cuando estaba enseñando, diciendo: ¿Con qué autoridad haces esto? ¿y quién te dio esta autoridad?
And when he came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him while he taught, saying, By what authority do thou these things? And who gave thee this authority?
24 Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Yo también os preguntaré una palabra; la cual si me dijereis, también yo os diré con qué autoridad hago esto.
And having answered, Jesus said to them, I also will ask you one word, which if ye tell me, I also will tell you by what authority I do these things.
25 El bautismo de Juan, ¿de dónde era? ¿del cielo, o de los hombres? Ellos entonces pensaron entre sí, diciendo: Si dijéremos: Del cielo; nos dirá: ¿Por qué pues no le creísteis?
The immersion of John, from where was it, from heaven or from men? And they deliberated with themselves, saying, If we should say, From heaven, he will say to us, Why then did ye not believe him?
26 Y si dijéremos: De los hombres; tememos al pueblo; porque todos tienen a Juan por profeta.
But if we should say, From men, we fear the multitude, for all hold John as a prophet.
27 Y respondiendo a Jesús, dijeron: No sabemos. Y él también les dijo: Ni yo os diré con qué autoridad hago esto.
And having answered Jesus, they said, We know not. He said to them, And neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
28 Mas, ¿qué os parece? Un hombre tenía dos hijos, y llegando al primero, le dijo: Hijo, vé hoy a trabajar en mi viña.
But what does it seem to you? A man had two children. And having come to the first, he said, Child, go work today in my vineyard.
29 Y respondiendo él, dijo: No quiero: mas después arrepentido, fue.
And having answered, he said, I do not want to, but having repented later, he went.
30 Y llegando al otro, le dijo de la misma manera; y respondiendo él, dijo: Yo, Señor, voy; y no fue.
And having come to the second, he said likewise. And having answered, he said, I, sir, and did not go.
31 ¿Cuál de los dos hizo la voluntad del padre? Dicen ellos: El primero. Díceles Jesús: De cierto os digo, que los publicanos, y las rameras os van delante al reino de Dios.
Which of the two did the will of the father? They say to him, The first. Jesus says to them, Truly I say to you, that the tax collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
32 Porque vino a vosotros Juan por vía de justicia, y no le creísteis; y los publicanos, y las rameras le creyeron; y vosotros viendo esto nunca os arrepentisteis para creerle.
For John came to you in a way of righteousness, and ye did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the harlots believed him. And having seen it, ye did not repent afterward to believe him.
33 Oíd otra parábola: Fue un hombre, padre de familias, el cual plantó una viña, y la cercó de vallado, y fundó en ella lagar, y edificó torre, y la dio a renta a labradores, y se partió lejos.
Hear ye another parable. There was a certain man who was a house-ruler, who planted a vineyard, and placed a hedge around it, and dug a winepress in it, and built a tower, and leased it to farmers, and went on a journey.
34 Y cuando se acercó el tiempo de los frutos, envió sus siervos a los labradores, para que recibiesen sus frutos.
And when the time of the fruits approached, he sent his bondmen to the farmers to receive his fruits.
35 Mas los labradores, tomando los siervos, al uno hirieron, y al otro mataron, y al otro apedrearon.
And the farmers having taken his bondmen, they beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
36 Envió otra vez otros siervos más que los primeros; e hicieron con ellos de la misma manera.
Again, he sent other bondmen more than the first, and they did to them in like manner.
37 Y a la postre les envió su hijo, diciendo: Tendrán respeto a mi hijo.
But finally he sent to them his son, saying, They will be made ashamed by my son.
38 Mas los labradores, viendo al hijo, dijeron entre sí: Este es el heredero: veníd, matémosle, y tomemos su herencia.
But the farmers, when they saw the son, said among themselves, This is the heir, come, let us kill him, and possess his inheritance.
39 Y tomado, le echaron fuera de la viña, y le mataron.
And having seized him, they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
40 Pues cuando viniere el señor de la viña, ¿qué hará a aquellos labradores?
When therefore the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers?
41 Dícenle ellos: A los malos destruirá malamente; y su viña dará a renta a otros labradores, que le paguen el fruto a sus tiempos.
They say to him, Evil men, he will miserably destroy them, and will lease out the vineyard to other farmers, who will render him the fruits in their seasons.
42 Díceles Jesús: ¿Nunca leísteis en las Escrituras: La piedra que desecharon los que edificaban, esta fue hecha por cabeza de la esquina: por el Señor es hecho esto, y es cosa maravillosa en nuestros ojos?
Jesus says to them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone that those who build rejected, this came to be in the head of the corner. This happened from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes?
43 Por tanto os digo, que el reino de Dios será quitado de vosotros, y será dado a gente que haga el fruto de él.
Because of this I say to you, that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and will be given to a nation producing the fruits of it.
44 Y el que cayere sobre esta piedra, será quebrantado; y sobre quien ella cayere, desmenuzarle ha.
And he who falls on this stone will be shattered, but on whomever it may fall, it will grind him to dust.
45 Y oyendo los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los Fariseos sus parábolas, entendieron que hablaba de ellos.
And when the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they knew that he spoke about them.
46 Y buscando como echarle mano, temieron al pueblo; porque le tenían por profeta.
And when they sought to seize him, they feared the multitudes, because they held him as a prophet.
