San Mateo 10
1 Entonces llamando a sus doce discípulos, les dio potestad contra los espíritus inmundos, para que los echasen fuera, y sanasen toda enfermedad, y toda dolencia.
And he called his twelve disciples to him, and gave them authority over unclean spirits to cast them out, and to heal every pain and disease.
2 Y los nombres de los doce Apóstoles son estos: El primero, Simón, que es llamado Pedro, y Andrés, su hermano: Santiago, hijo de Zebedeo, y Juan su hermano:
And the names of those twelve Legates are these: The first of them, Simon who is called Cephas, and Andrew his brother; and James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
3 Felipe, y Bartolomé: Tomás, y Mateo el publicano: Santiago, hijo de Alfeo, y Lebeo, que tenía el sobrenombre de Tadeo:
and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Thomas, and Matthew the publican; and James the son of Alpheus, and Lebbeus who was called Thaddeus;
4 Simón de Cana, y Júdas Iscariote, que también le entregó.
and Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, he who betrayed him.
5 Estos doce envió Jesús, a los cuales dio mandamiento, diciendo: Por el camino de los Gentiles no iréis, y en ciudad de Samaritanos no entréis:
These twelve Jesus sent forth: and he commanded them and said: Go not in the way of the Gentiles: and enter not the cities of the Samaritans.
6 Mas íd antes a las ovejas perdidas de la casa de Israel.
But, go ye rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 Y yendo, predicád, diciendo: El reino de los cielos ha llegado.
And as ye go, proclaim and say: The kingdom of heaven hath approached.
8 Sanád enfermos, limpiád leprosos, resucitád muertos, echád fuera demonios: de gracia recibisteis, dad de gracia.
Heal ye the sick; cleanse the leprous; raise the dead; and cast out demons. Freely ye have received; freely give.
9 No proveáis oro, ni plata, ni dinero en vuestras bolsas,
Provide not gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses;
10 Ni alforja para el camino, ni dos ropas de vestir, ni zapatos, ni bordón; porque el obrero digno es de su alimento.
nor a wallet for the journey: neither two coats, nor shoes, nor a staff. For the laborer is worthy of his food.
11 Mas en cualquiera ciudad o aldea, donde entraréis, buscád con diligencia quien sea en ella digno, y morád allí hasta que salgáis.
And into whatever city or town ye enter, inquire, who in it is worthy; and there stay until ye depart.
12 Y entrando en la casa, saludádla.
And when ye enter a house, salute the household.
13 Y si la casa fuere digna, que vuestra paz venga sobre ella; mas si no fuere digna, que vuestra paz vuelva sobre vosotros.
And if the house be worthy, your peace will come upon it; but if it be not worthy, your peace will return upon yourselves.
14 Y cualquiera que no os recibiere, ni oyere vuestras palabras, salíd de aquella casa o ciudad, y sacudíd el polvo de vuestros pies.
And whoever will not receive you, nor hear your discourses, when ye depart from that house or that town, shake off the dust from your feet.
15 De cierto os digo: Que el castigo será más tolerable a la tierra de Sodoma, y de Gomorra en el día del juicio, que a aquella ciudad.
Verily I say to you, that it will be comfortable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, rather than for that city.
16 He aquí, yo os envió, como a ovejas en medio de lobos: sed pues prudentes como serpientes, y sencillos como palomas.
Behold, I send you forth as sheep among wolves. Therefore be ye sagacious as serpents, and guileless as doves.
17 Y guardáos de los hombres; porque os entregarán a los concilios, y en sus sinagogas os azotarán.
And beware of men; for they will deliver you over to the tribunals, and will scourge you in their synagogues.
18 Y aun ante gobernadores, y reyes seréis llevados por causa de mí, para testimonio contra ellos, y los Gentiles.
And they will bring you before governors and kings, on my account, for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
19 Mas cuando os entregaren, no os congojéis cómo, o qué habéis de hablar; porque en aquella hora os será dado que habléis.
And when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye shall speak; for it shall be given you in that hour what to say.
20 Porque no sois vosotros los que habláis, sino el Espíritu de vuestro Padre, que habla en vosotros.
For it is not ye that speak, but the spirit of your Father speaking in you.
21 El hermano entregará al hermano a la muerte, y el padre al hijo; y los hijos se levantarán contra los padres, y los harán morir.
And brother shall deliver up his brother to death, and a father his son; and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to die.
22 Y seréis aborrecidos de todos por causa de mi nombre; mas el que lo soportare hasta el fin, éste será salvo.
And ye shall be hated by every one, on account of my name. But he that shall endure to the end, shall have life.
23 Mas cuando os persiguieren en esta ciudad, huid a la otra; porque de cierto os digo, que no acabaréis de andar todas las ciudades de Israel, que no venga el Hijo del hombre.
And when they persecute you in one city, flee to another: for verily I say to you, Ye shall not have completed all the cities of the house of Israel, till the Son of man shall come.
24 El discípulo no es más que su Maestro, ni el siervo más que su Señor.
No disciple is better than his rabbi; nor a servant, than his lord.
25 Bástele al discípulo ser como su Maestro, y al siervo como su Señor: si al mismo padre de familias llamaron Belzebú, ¿cuánto más a los de su casa?
It is sufficient for the disciple, that he be as his rabbi; and the servant, as his lord. If they call the lord of the house Beelzebub, how much more the children of his family?
26 Así que no los temáis; porque nada hay encubierto, que no haya de ser manifestado; y nada oculto que no haya de saberse.
Therefore be not afraid of them; for there is nothing covered up, that shall not be exposed; nor concealed, that shall not become known.
27 Lo que os digo en tinieblas, decíd lo en luz; y lo que oís al oído, predicád lo desde los tejados.
Whatever I say to you in the dark, that speak ye in the light; and what ye have heard in your ears, proclaim ye on the housetops.
28 Y no tengáis miedo de los que matan el cuerpo, mas al alma no pueden matar: teméd antes a aquel que puede destruir el alma y el cuerpo en el infierno. (Geenna g1067)
And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but cannot kill the soul; but be afraid rather of Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Geenna g1067)
29 ¿No se venden dos pajarillos por una blanca? Y uno de ellos no caerá a tierra sin vuestro Padre.
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? Yet one of them doth not fall to the ground without your Father.
30 Y vuestros cabellos también, todos están contados.
As for you, even the hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 No temáis pues: más valéis vosotros que muchos pajarillos.
Therefore be not afraid: ye are more important than many sparrows.
32 Pues cualquiera que me confesare delante de los hombres, le confesaré yo también delante de mi Padre, que está en los cielos.
Wherefore, whoever shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven.
33 Y cualquiera que me negare delante de los hombres, le negaré yo también delante de mi Padre, que está en los cielos.
But whoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
34 No penséis que he venido para meter paz en la tierra: no he venido para meter paz, sino espada.
Think not that I have come to sow quietness on the earth: I have not come to sow quietness, but conflict.
35 Porque he venido para poner en disensión al hombre contra su padre, y a la hija contra su madre, y a la nuera contra su suegra.
For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 Y los enemigos del hombre serán los de su casa.
And a man's foes will be the members of his household.
37 El que ama a padre o a madre más que a mí, no es digno de mí; y el que ama a hijo o a hija más que a mí, no es digno de mí.
He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me:
38 Y el que no toma su cruz y sigue en pos de mí, no es digno de mí.
and he that doth not bear his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
39 El que hallare su vida, la perderá; y el que perdiere su vida por causa de mí, la hallará.
He that preserveth his life, shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake, shall preserve it.
40 El que os recibe a vosotros, a mí recibe; y el que a mí recibe, recibe al que me envió.
He that entertaineth you, entertaineth me: and he that entertaineth me, entertaineth him that sent me.
41 El que recibe a un profeta en nombre de profeta, galardón de profeta recibirá; y el que recibe a un justo en nombre de justo, galardón de justo recibirá.
He that entertaineth a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive a prophet's reward: and he that entertaineth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man, shall receive a righteous man's reward.
42 Y cualquiera que diere a uno de estos pequeñitos un jarro de agua fría solamente, en nombre de discípulo, de cierto os digo, que no perderá su galardón.
And whoever shall give one of these little ones to drink a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.
