Marcos 15
1 Y luego por la mañana, hecho consejo, los sumos sacerdotes con los ancianos, y con los escribas, y con todo el concilio, trajeron a Jesús atado, y le entregaron a Pilato.
And as soon as it was morning, the chief priests, having held a consultation with the elders and the scribes, and the whole council, bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him up to Pilate.
2 Y le preguntó Pilato: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los Judíos? Y respondiendo él, le dijo: Tú lo dices.
And Pilate asked him, Art thou the king of the Jews? And he answering saith to him, I am.
3 Y le acusaban los príncipes de los sacerdotes de muchas cosas: mas él no respondió nada.
And the chief priests brought many charges against him.
4 Y le preguntó otra vez Pilato, diciendo: ¿No respondes algo? Mira cuán muchas cosas atestiguan contra ti.
And Pilate asked him again, Dost thou make no answer? See what things they are testifying against thee!
5 Mas Jesús ni aun con eso respondió, de manera que Pilato se maravillaba.
But Jesus made no further answer; so that Pilate marveled.
6 Empero en el día de la fiesta les soltaba un preso, cualquiera que pidiesen.
Now at the feast he was wont to release to them one prisoner, whom they might ask.
7 Y había uno que se llamaba Barrabás, preso con sus compañeros de la revuelta, que en una revuelta habían hecho una muerte.
And there was one named Barabbas, who lay bound with insurgents who had committed murder in the insurrection.
8 Y la multitud, dando voces, comenzó a pedir que les hiciese como siempre les había hecho.
And the multitude, coming up, began to ask him to do as he had been wont to do for them.
9 Y Pilato les respondió, diciendo: ¿Queréis que os suelte al Rey de los Judíos?
And Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release to you the king of the Jews?
10 Porque conocía que por envidia le habían entregado los príncipes de los sacerdotes.
For he knew that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.
11 Mas los príncipes de los sacerdotes incitaron a la multitud, que les soltase antes a Barrabás.
But the chief priests stirred up the multitude, that he should rather release to them Barabbas.
12 Y respondiendo Pilato, les dice otra vez: ¿Qué pues queréis que haga de él que llamáis Rey de los Judíos?
And Pilate answering again said to them, What then would ye have me do with him whom ye call the king of the Jews?
13 Y ellos volvieron a dar voces: Crucifícale.
And they cried out again, Crucify him!
14 Mas Pilato les decía: ¿Pues, qué mal ha hecho? Y ellos daban mayores voces: Crucifícale.
Then Pilate said to them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more, Crucify him!
15 Y Pilato, queriendo satisfacer al pueblo, les soltó a Barrabás, y entregó a Jesús, azotado, para que fuese crucificado.
And Pilate, wishing to satisfy the multitude, released to them Barabbas; and, when he had scourged Jesus, delivered him up to be crucified.
16 Entonces los soldados le llevaron dentro de la sala, es a saber, a la audiencia; y convocan toda la cuadrilla,
And the soldiers led him away into the court, which is the Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.
17 Y le visten de púrpura, y le ponen una corona tejida de espinas;
And they clothe him with purple, and having platted a crown of thorns, they put it on him.
18 Y comenzaron a saludarle, y decir: Tengas gozo, Rey de los Judíos.
And they began to salute him: Hail, king of the Jews!
19 Y le herían su cabeza con una caña, y escupían en él, y le hacían reverencia hincadas las rodillas.
And they struck him on the head with a reed, and spit upon him, and kneeling down, did him homage.
20 Y después que le hubieron escarnecido, le desnudaron de la púrpura, y le vistieron sus propios vestidos; y le sacan para crucificarle.
And after they had made sport of him, they stripped him of the purple robe, and put his own garments on him. And they lead him out to crucify him.
21 Y cargaron a uno que pasaba, (Simón Cireneo padre de Alejandro y de Rufo, que venía del campo, ) para que llevase su cruz.
And they compel one Simon a Cyrenaean, who was passing by, coming from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross.
22 Y le llevan al lugar de Gólgota, que interpretado quiere decir, lugar de la Calavera.
And they bring him to the place Golgotha; which is, when interpreted, Place of a Skull.
23 Y le dieron a beber vino mezclado con mirra; mas él no lo tomó.
And they gave him wine mingled with myrrh; but he did not take it.
24 Y cuando le hubieron crucificado, repartieron sus vestidos, echando suertes sobre ellos, qué llevaría cada uno.
And they crucify him, and divide his garments, casting lots for them, what each should take.
25 Y era la hora de tercia cuando le crucificaron.
And it was the third hour when they crucified him.
26 Y el título escrito de su causa era, EL REY DE LOS JUDÍOS.
And on the cross the inscription of the charge against him was written: “The king of the Jews.”
27 Y crucificaron con él dos ladrones, uno a su mano derecha, y otro a su mano izquierda.
And with him they crucify two robbers; one on his right hand, and one on his left.
28 Y se cumplió la Escritura que dice: Y con los inicuos fue contado.
29 Y los que pasaban le denostaban, meneando la cabeza, y diciendo: ¡Ah! que derribas el templo de Dios, y en tres días lo edificas:
And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ha! thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it up in three days,
30 Sálvate a ti mismo, y desciende de la cruz.
save thyself, and come down from the cross.
31 Y de esta manera también los príncipes de los sacerdotes escarneciendo, decían unos a otros, con los escribas: A otros salvó, a sí mismo no puede salvar.
In like manner also the chief priests, with the scribes, making sport among themselves, said, He saved others, cannot he save himself?
32 El Cristo, Rey de Israel, descienda ahora de la cruz para que veamos y creamos. También los que estaban crucificados con él, le denostaban.
Let the Christ, the king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him were reviling him.
33 Y cuando vino la hora de sexta, fueron hechas tinieblas sobre toda la tierra, hasta la hora de nona.
And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
34 Y a la hora de nona exclamó Jesús a gran voz, diciendo: ¿Eloí, Eloí, lamma sabachthani? que interpretado, quiere decir: Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has desamparado?
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani? which is, when interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
35 Y oyéndo lo unos de los que estaban allí, decían: He aquí, a Elías llama.
And some of those who stood by, when they heard it, said, See! he is calling for Elijah.
36 Y corrió uno, e hinchiendo de vinagre una esponja, y poniéndo la en una caña, le dio de beber, diciendo: Dejád, veamos si vendrá Elías a quitarle.
And one ran and filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink, saying, Hold! Let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.
37 Mas Jesús, dando una grande voz, espiró.
And Jesus, having uttered a loud cry, expired.
38 Entonces el velo del templo se partió en dos de alto a bajo.
And the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom.
39 Y el centurión, que estaba delante de él, viendo que había espirado así clamando, dijo: Verdaderamente este hombre era el Hijo de Dios.
And the centurion who stood over against him, seeing that he so expired, said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
40 Y también estaban algunas mujeres mirando de lejos: entre las cuales era María Magdalena, y María madre de Santiago el menor y de Joses, y Salomé;
There were also women looking on from a distance; among whom was Mary the Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
41 Las cuales, estando aun él en Galilea le seguían, y le servían; y otras muchas que juntamente con él habían subido a Jerusalem.
who, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and rendered him their services; and many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.
42 Y cuando fue la tarde, porque era la preparación, esto es, la víspera del sábado,
And evening having now come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
43 José de Arimatea, senador noble, que también él esperaba el reino de Dios, vino, y osadamente entró a Pilato, y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús.
Joseph of Arimathaea, an honorable councilor, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, came, and boldly went in to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.
44 Y Pilato se maravilló, si ya fuese muerto; y haciendo venir al centurión, le preguntó, si era ya muerto.
And Pilate wondered that he was already dead; and calling to him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been long dead.
45 Y como lo entendió del centurión, dio el cuerpo a José.
And having been informed by the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
46 El cual compró una sábana, y quitándole, le envolvió en la sábana, y le puso en un sepulcro labrado en una roca; y revolvió una piedra a la puerta del sepulcro.
And having bought fine linen, he took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a tomb which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone to the door of the tomb.
47 Y María Magdalena, y María madre de Joses, miraban donde le ponían.
And Mary the Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid.
