Malaquías 1

1 Carga de la palabra de Jehová contra Israel por mano de Malaquías.

2 Yo os amé, dijo Jehová; y dijisteis: ¿En qué nos amaste? ¿Esaú no era hermano de Jacob, dijo Jehová, y amé a Jacob,

Y louyde you, seith the Lord, and ye seiden, In what thing louydist thou vs? Whether Esau was not the brother of Jacob, seith the Lord, and Y louyde Jacob,

3 Y a Esaú aborrecí, y torné sus montes en asolamiento, y su posesión para los dragones del desierto?

forsothe Y hatide Esau? And Y haue put Seir the hillis of hym in to wildirnesse, and his eritage in to dragouns of desert.

4 Cuando dijere Edom: Empobrecido nos hemos: tornemos, y edifiquemos lo arruinado; así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Ellos edificarán, y yo destruiré; y llamarles han: Provincia de impiedad, y pueblo contra quien Jehová se airó para siempre.

5 Y vuestros ojos lo verán, y diréis: Sea Jehová engrandecido sobre la provincia de Israel.

6 El hijo honró al padre, y el siervo a su señor; y si yo soy padre, ¿qué es de mi honra? Y si soy señor, ¿qué es de mi temor? Jehová de los ejércitos dijo a vosotros los sacerdotes, que menospreciáis mi nombre: mas diréis: ¿En qué habemos menospreciado tu nombre?

The sone onourith the fader, and the seruaunt schal drede his lord; therfor if Y am fadir, wher is myn onour? and if Y am lord, where is my drede? seith the Lord of oostis. A! ye prestis, to you that dispisen my name; and ye seiden, Wherynne han we dispisid thi name?

7 Que ofrecéis sobre mi altar pan inmundo, y dijisteis: ¿En qué te habemos ensuciado? En que decís: La mesa de Jehová es vil.

Ye offren on myn auter vncleene breed, and ye seien, Wherynne han we defoulid thee? In that thing that ye seien, The boord of the Lord is dispisid.

8 Y cuando ofrecéis el animal ciego para sacrificar, ¿no es malo? y cuando ofreceréis el cojo o enfermo, ¿no es malo? Preséntale pues a tu príncipe, a ver si le harás placer, o si le serás acepto, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos.

If ye offren a blynd beest to be sacrifisid, whether it is not yuel? And if ye offren a crokid and sike beeste, whether it is not yuel? Offre thou it to thi duyk, if it schal plese hym, ether if he schal resseyue thi face, seith the Lord of oostis.

9 Ahora pues orád a la faz de Dios, y el habrá piedad de nosotros: esto de vuestra mano vino. ¿Habéis de serle agradables? dijo Jehová de los ejércitos.

And now biseche ye the cheer of the Lord, that he haue merci on you; for of youre hond this thing is doon, if in ony maner he resseiue youre faces, seith the Lord of oostis.

10 ¿Quién también hay de vosotros que cierre las puertas, o alumbre mi altar de balde? Yo no recibo contentamiento en vosotros, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos, ni de vuestra mano me será agradable la ofrenda.

Who is `in you that closith doris, and brenneth myn auter `of his owne wille, ethir freli? Wille is not to me in you, seith the Lord of oostis; and Y schal not resseyue a yifte of youre hond.

11 Porque desde donde el sol nace hasta donde se pone, mi nombre será grande entre las gentes; y en todo lugar se ofrecerá a mi nombre perfume y ofrenda pura; porque grande será mi nombre entre las gentes, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.

12 Y vosotros le amenguáis cuando decís: Inmunda es la mesa de Jehová; y cuando hablan: Vil es su alimento.

13 Y decís: ¡O qué trabajo! y lo desechasteis, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos; y trajisteis hurtado, o cojo, o enfermo, y ofrecisteis ofrenda: ¿Ha de serme acepto de vuestra mano? dijo Jehová.

And ye seiden, Lo! of trauel; and ye han blowe it a wei, seith the Lord of oostis. And ye brouyten in of raueyns a crokid thlng and sijk, and brouyten in a yifte; whether Y schal resseyue it of youre hond? seith the Lord.

14 Maldito el engañoso, que tiene macho en su rebaño, y promete, y sacrifica corrompido a Jehová; porque yo soy gran Rey, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos, y mi nombre es espantoso entre las gentes.
