San Lucas 20
1 Y aconteció un día, que enseñando él al pueblo en el templo, y anunciando el evangelio, sobrevinieron los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas, con los ancianos,
And it came to passe, that on one of those dayes, as he taught the people in the Temple, and preached the Gospel, the hie Priests and the Scribes came vpon him with the Elders,
2 Y le hablaron, diciendo: Dinos ¿con qué autoridad haces estas cosas: o quién es el que te ha dado esta autoridad?
And spake vnto him, saying, Tell vs by what authoritie thou doest these things, or who is hee that hath giuen thee this authoritie?
3 Respondiendo entonces Jesús, les dijo: Preguntaros he yo también una palabra; respondédme:
And he answered, and sayde vnto them, I also will aske you one thing: tell me therefore:
4 ¿El bautismo de Juan, era del cielo, o de los hombres?
The baptisme of Iohn, was it from heauen, or of men?
5 Mas ellos pensaban dentro de sí, diciendo: Si dijéremos: Del cielo; dirá: ¿Por qué pues no le creísteis?
And they reasoned within themselues, saying, If we shall say, From heauen, he will say, Why then beleeued ye him not?
6 Y si dijéremos: De los hombres, todo el pueblo nos apedreará; porque están ciertos que Juan era un profeta.
But if we shall say, Of men, all the people will stone vs: for they be perswaded that Iohn was a Prophet.
7 Y respondieron, que no sabían de donde había sido.
Therefore they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.
8 Entonces Jesús les dijo: Ni yo os digo tampoco con qué autoridad hago yo estas cosas.
Then Iesus sayd vnto them, Neither tell I you, by what authoritie I doe these things.
9 Y comenzó a decir al pueblo esta parábola: Un hombre plantó una viña, y la arrendó a unos labradores, y se ausentó por mucho tiempo.
Then began he to speake to ye people this parable, A certaine man planted a vineyarde, and let it forth to husbandmen: and went into a strange countrey, for a great time.
10 Y al tiempo oportuno envió un siervo a los labradores, para que le diesen del fruto de la viña; mas los labradores hiriéndole, le enviaron vacío.
And at the time conuenient he sent a seruant to the husbandmen, that they should giue him of the fruite of the vineyard: but the husbandmen did beate him, and sent him away emptie.
11 Y volvió a enviar otro siervo; y ellos a éste también, herido y afrentado, le enviaron vacío.
Againe he sent yet another seruant: and they did beate him, and foule entreated him, and sent him away emptie.
12 Y volvió a enviar al tercer siervo; y también a éste echaron herido.
Moreouer he sent the third, and him they wounded, and cast out.
13 Entonces el señor de la viña dijo: ¿Qué haré? enviaré mi Hijo amado: quizá cuando a éste vieren, le tendrán respeto.
Then sayd the Lord of the vineyard, What shall I doe? I will send my beloued sonne: it may be that they will doe reuerence, when they see him.
14 Mas los labradores viéndole pensaron entre sí, diciendo: Este es el heredero: veníd, matémosle, para que la herencia sea nuestra.
But when the husbandmen sawe him, they reasoned with themselues, saying, This is the heire: come, let vs kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
15 Y echándole fuera de la viña, le mataron: ¿Qué pues les hará el señor de la viña?
So they cast him out of the vineyarde, and killed him. What shall the Lord of the vineyarde therefore doe vnto them?
16 Vendrá, y destruirá a estos labradores; y dará su viña a otros. Y como ellos lo oyeron, dijeron: Guarda.
He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and wil giue out his vineyard to others. But when they heard it, they sayd, God forbid.
17 Mas él mirándolos, dice: ¿Qué pues es lo que está escrito: La piedra que desecharon los edificadores, esta vino a ser cabeza de la esquina?
And he beheld them, and said, What meaneth this then that is written, The stone that the builders refused, that is made the head of the corner?
18 Cualquiera que cayere sobre aquella piedra será quebrantado; mas sobre el que la piedra cayere, le desmenuzará.
Whosoeuer shall fall vpon that stone, shall be broken: and on whomsoeuer it shall fall, it will grinde him to pouder.
19 Y procuraban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas echarle mano en aquella hora, mas tuvieron miedo del pueblo; porque entendieron que contra ellos había dicho esta parábola.
Then the hie Priests, and the Scribes the same houre went about to lay hands on him: (but they feared the people) for they perceiued that he had spoken this parable against them.
20 Y acechándo le, enviaron espiones que se simulasen justos, para tomarle en sus palabras, para que así le entregasen a la jurisdicción y a la potestad del presidente:
And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should faine themselues iust men, to take him in his talke, and to deliuer him vnto the power and authoritie of the gouernour.
21 Los cuales le preguntaron, diciendo: Maestro, sabemos que dices y enseñas bien; y que no tienes respeto a la persona de nadie, antes enseñas el camino de Dios con verdad.
And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest, and teachest right, neither doest thou accept mans person, but teachest the way of God truely.
22 ¿Nos es lícito dar tributo a César, o no?
Is it lawfull for vs to giue Cesar tribute or no?
23 Mas él, entendida la astucia de ellos, les dijo: ¿Por qué me tentáis?
But he perceiued their craftines, and sayd vnto them, Why tempt ye me?
24 Mostrádme una moneda. ¿De quién tiene la imagen, y la inscripción? Y respondiendo, dijeron: De César.
Shew me a penie. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered, and sayd, Cesars.
25 Entonces les dijo: Pues dad a César lo que es de César; y lo que es de Dios, a Dios.
Then he sayd vnto them, Giue then vnto Cesar the things which are Cesars, and to God those which are Gods.
26 Y no pudieron reprender sus palabras delante del pueblo: antes maravillados de su respuesta, callaron.
And they could not reproue his saying before the people: but they marueiled at his answere, and helde their peace.
27 Y llegándose unos de los Saduceos, los cuales niegan haber resurrección, le preguntaron,
Then came to him certaine of the Sadduces (which denie that there is any resurrection) and they asked him,
28 Diciendo: Maestro, Moisés nos escribió: Si el hermano de alguno muriere teniendo mujer, y muriere sin hijos, que su hermano tome la mujer, y levante simiente a su hermano.
Saying, Master, Moses wrote vnto vs, If any mans brother die hauing a wife, and hee die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise vp seede vnto his brother.
29 Fueron pues siete hermanos; y el primero tomó mujer, y murió sin hijos.
Now there were seuen brethren, and the first tooke a wife, and he dyed without children.
30 Y la tomó el segundo, el cual también murió sin hijos.
And the second tooke the wife, and he dyed childelesse.
31 Y la tomó el tercero: asimismo también todos siete; y no dejaron simiente, y murieron.
Then the third tooke her: and so likewise the seuen dyed, and left no children.
32 Y a la postre de todos murió también la mujer.
And last of all the woman dyed also.
33 En la resurrección, pues, ¿mujer de cuál de ellos será? porque los siete la tuvieron por mujer.
Therefore at the resurrection, whose wife of them shall she be? for seuen had her to wife.
34 Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Los hijos de este siglo se casan, y se dan en casamiento; (aiōn g165)
Then Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, The children of this world marry wiues, and are married. (aiōn g165)
35 Mas los que fueron tenidos por dignos de aquel siglo, y de la resurrección de los muertos, ni se casan, ni se dan en casamiento. (aiōn g165)
But they which shalbe counted worthy to enioy that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry wiues, neither are married. (aiōn g165)
36 Porque no pueden ya más morir; porque son iguales a los ángeles, y son hijos de Dios, siendo hijos de la resurrección.
For they can die no more, forasmuch as they are equall vnto the Angels, and are the sonnes of God, since they are the children of the resurrection.
37 Y que los muertos hayan de resucitar, Moisés aun lo enseñó junto al zarzal, cuando dice al Señor: Dios de Abraham, y Dios de Isaac, y Dios de Jacob.
And that the dead shall rise againe, euen Moses shewed it besides the bush, when he said, The Lord is the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob.
38 Porque Dios, no es Dios de muertos, sino de vivos; porque todos viven en cuanto a él.
For he is not the God of the dead, but of them which liue: for all liue vnto him.
39 Y respondiéndole unos de los escribas, dijeron: Maestro, bien has dicho.
Then certaine of the Scribes answered, and sayd, Master, thou hast well sayd.
40 Y no osaron más preguntarle algo.
And after that, durst they not aske him any thing at all.
41 Y él les dijo: ¿Cómo dicen que el Cristo es hijo de David?
Then sayd he vnto them, Howe say they that Christ is Dauids sonne?
42 Y el mismo David dice en el libro de los Salmos: Dijo el Señor a mi Señor: Asiéntate a mi diestra,
And Dauid himselfe sayth in the booke of the Psalmes, The Lord sayd vnto my Lord, Sit at my right hand,
43 Entre tanto que pongo tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies.
Till I shall make thine enemies thy footestoole.
44 Así que David le llama Señor, ¿cómo pues es su hijo?
Seeing Dauid called him Lord, howe is he then his sonne?
45 Y oyéndolo todo el pueblo, dijo a sus discípulos:
Then in the audience of all the people he sayd vnto his disciples,
46 Guardáos de los escribas, que quieren andar con ropas largas, y aman las salutaciones en las plazas; y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas; y los primeros asientos en las cenas:
Beware of the Scribes, which willingly go in long robes, and loue salutations in the markets, and the highest seates in the assemblies, and the chiefe roomes at feastes:
47 Que devoran las casas de las viudas, simulando larga oración: estos recibirán mayor condenación.
Which deuoure widowes houses, and in shewe make long prayers: These shall receiue greater damnation.
