Jueces 5
1 Y aquel día cantó Débora y Barac hijo de Abinoem, diciendo:
Then Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam sang on that day, saying,
2 Porque ha vengado las injurias de Israel, porque el pueblo se ha ofrecido de su voluntad, load a Jehová.
That the leaders took the lead in Israel, that the people offered themselves willingly, bless ye Jehovah.
3 Oíd reyes: estád atentos príncipes, yo cantaré a Jehová: diré salmos a Jehová Dios de Israel.
Hear, O ye kings. Give ear, O ye rulers. I, even I, will sing to Jehovah. I will sing praise to Jehovah, the God of Israel.
4 Cuando saliste de Seir, oh Jehová, cuando te apartaste del campo de Edom, la tierra tembló, y los cielos destilaron, y las nubes gotearon aguas.
Jehovah, when thou went forth out of Seir, when thou marched out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, the heavens also dropped, yea, the clouds dropped water.
5 Los montes se derritieron delante de Jehová, este Sinaí, delante de Jehová Dios de Israel.
The mountains quaked at the presence of Jehovah, even yon Sinai at the presence of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
6 En los días de Samgar hijo de Anat, en los días de Jahel cesaron los caminos; y los que andaban por las sendas, se apartaban por sendas torcidas.
In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travelers walked through byways.
7 Las aldeas habían cesado en Israel, habían cesado: hasta que yo Débora me levanté, me levanté madre en Israel.
The rulers ceased in Israel, they ceased, until that I, Deborah, arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.
8 En escogiendo nuevos dioses, la guerra estaba a las puertas: ¿Se veía escudo o lanza entre cuarenta mil en Israel?
They chose new gods, then war was in the gates. Was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?
9 Mi corazón es a los príncipes de Israel, a los voluntarios en el pueblo, load a Jehová.
My heart is toward the governors of Israel, who offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye Jehovah.
10 Los que cabalgáis en asnas blancas, los que presidís en juicio, y los que andáis por el camino, hablád.
Tell, ye who ride on white donkeys, ye who sit on rich carpets, and ye who walk by the way.
11 A causa del estruendo de los flecheros quitado de entre los que sacan las aguas: allí recuenten las justicias de Jehová, las justicias de sus aldeas en Israel. Ahora el pueblo de Jehová descenderá a las puertas.
Far from the noise of archers, in the places of drawing water, there they shall rehearse the righteous acts of Jehovah, the righteous acts of his rule in Israel. Then the people of Jehovah went down to the gates.
12 Despierta, despierta Débora, despierta, despierta, di canción. Levántate Barac, y lleva tus cautivos, hijo de Abinoem.
Awake, awake, Deborah, awake, awake, utter a song. Arise, Barak, and lead away thy captives, thou son of Abinoam.
13 Entonces ha hecho que el que quedó del pueblo; señoree los magníficos: Jehová me hizo enseñorear sobre los fuertes.
Then a remnant of the nobles and the people came down. Jehovah came down for me against the mighty.
14 De Efraím salió su raíz contra Amalec: tras ti vino Ben-jamín contra tus pueblos. De Maquir descendieron príncipes: y de Zabulón los que solían tratar cincel de escriba.
Out of Ephraim, those whose root is in Amalek, after thee, Benjamin, among thy peoples, out of Machir, came down governors, and out of Zebulun those who handle the marshal's staff.
15 Príncipes también de Isacar fueron con Débora: y también Isacar, como Barac, se puso a pie en el valle: de las divisiones de Rubén son grandes las disputas del corazón.
And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah, as was Issachar, so was Barak, into the valley they rushed forth at his feet. By the watercourses of Reuben there were great resolves of heart.
16 ¿Por qué te quedaste entre las majadas, para oír los silvos de los rebaños? De las divisiones de Rubén grandes son las disputas del corazón.
Why did thou sit among the sheepfolds, to hear the pipings for the flocks? At the watercourses of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
17 Galaad se quedó de la otra parte del Jordán: y Dan ¿por qué habitó junto a los navíos? Aser se asentó en la ribera de la mar, y en sus quebraduras se quedó.
Gilead abode beyond the Jordan. And Dan, why did he remain in ships? Asher sat still at the haven of the sea, and abode by his creeks.
18 El pueblo de Zabulón puso su vida a la muerte, y Neftalí en las alturas del campo.
Zebulun was a people who jeopardized their lives to the death, and Naphtali, upon the high places of the field.
19 Vinieron reyes, y pelearon: entonces pelearon los reyes de Canaán en Tane junto a las aguas de Mageddo, mas ninguna ganancia de dinero llevaron.
The kings came and fought. Then the kings of Canaan fought in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo. They took no gain of money.
20 De los cielos pelearon: las estrellas desde sus caminos pelearon contra Sísera.
From heaven the stars fought; from their courses they fought against Sisera.
21 El arroyo de Cisón los barrió, el arroyo de las antigüedades, el arroyo de Cisón: pisaste, oh alma mía, con fortaleza.
The river Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, march on with strength.
22 Las uñas de los caballos se embotaron entonces, por los encuentros, los encuentros de sus valientes.
Then the horse hoofs stamped by reason of the prancings, the prancings of their strong ones.
23 Maldecíd a Meros, dijo el ángel de Jehová: maldecíd con maldición a sus moradores: porque no vinieron en socorro a Jehová, en socorro a Jehová contra los fuertes.
Curse ye Meroz, said the agent of Jehovah. Curse ye bitterly the inhabitants of it, because they did not come to the help of Jehovah, to the help of Jehovah against the mighty.
24 Bendita sea sobre las mujeres Jahel la mujer de Jeber Cineo: sobre las mujeres sea bendita en la tienda.
Blessed above women shall Jael be, the wife of Heber the Kenite. Blessed shall she be above women in the tent.
25 El pidió agua, y ella le dio leche: en tazón de nobles le presentó manteca.
He asked water. She gave him milk. She brought him butter in a lordly dish.
26 Su mano tendió a la estaca, y su diestra al mazo de trabajadores, y majó a Sísera; hirió su cabeza; llagó, y pasó sus sienes.
She put her hand to the tent-pin, and her right hand to the workmen's hammer. And with the hammer she smote Sisera; she struck through his head. Yea, she pierced and struck through his temples.
27 Cayó encorvado entre sus pies, quedó tendido: entre sus pies cayó encorvado: donde se encorvó, allí cayó muerto.
At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay. At her feet he bowed, he fell. Where he bowed, there he fell down dead.
28 La madre de Sísera asomándose a la ventana aulla, mirando por entre las rejas, diciendo: ¿Por qué se detiene su carro, que no viene? ¿por qué se tardan las ruedas de sus carros?
Through the window she looked forth, and cried-the mother of Sisera through the lattice-Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why do the wheels of his chariots delay?
29 Las sabias mujeres de sus príncipes le respondían: y aun ella a sí misma se respondía:
Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself,
30 ¿No han hallado despojos y los están repartiendo? a cada uno una moza, o dos: los despojos de colores, a Sísera; los despojos bordados de colores: la ropa de color bordada de ambas partes, para el cuello del despojo.
Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil? A damsel, two damsels to every man, to Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, a spoil of dyed garments embroidered, of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the spoil?
31 Así perezcan todos tus enemigos oh Jehová: mas los que le aman, sean como el sol cuando nace en su fortaleza. Y la tierra reposó cuarenta años.
So let all thine enemies perish, O Jehovah, but let those who love him be as the sun when he goes forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.
