Jeremías 40

1 Palabra que fue a Jeremías de Jehová después que Nabuzardán, capitán de la guarda, le envió desde Rama, cuando le tomó que estaba preso con esposas entre toda la transmigración de Jerusalem, y de Judá, que iban cautivos a Babilonia.

The word which it came to Jeremiah from with Yahweh after - set free him Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards from Ramah when took he him and he [was] bound with chains in among all [the] exile[s] of Jerusalem and Judah who were being taken into exile Babylon towards.

2 Y el capitán de la guarda tomó a Jeremías, y díjole: Jehová tu Dios habló este mal contra este lugar;

And he took [the] chief of [the] bodyguards Jeremiah and he said to him Yahweh God your he spoke the harm this against the place this.

3 Y trájolo, e hizo Jehová según que había dicho; porque pecasteis contra Jehová, y no oísteis su voz, por tanto os ha venido esto.

And he has brought [it] and he has done Yahweh just as he said for you sinned to Yahweh and not you listened to voice his and it has happened to you (the thing *Q(K)*) this.

4 Y ahora yo te he soltado hoy de las esposas que tenías en tus manos: si te está bien venir conmigo a Babilonia, ven, y yo pondré mis ojos sobre ti. Y si no te está bien venir conmigo a Babilonia, déjalo. Mira, toda la tierra está delante de ti; a lo que mejor y más cómodo te pareciere ir, vé.

And now here! I have set free you this day from the chains which [are] on hand your if it is good in view your to come with me Babylon come so I may set eye my on you and if [is] displeasing in view your to come with me Babylon refrain see all the land [is] before you to [the place] good and to the [place] right in view your to go there towards go.

5 Y aun él no había respondido que se volvería, cuando él le dijo: Vuélvete a Godolías, hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Safán, al cual el rey de Babilonia ha puesto sobre todas las ciudades de Judá, y vive con él en medio del pueblo, o adonde te pareciere más cómodo de ir, vé. Y dióle el capitán de la guarda presentes y dones, y le envió.

And still he not he will return and return! to Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam [the] son of Shaphan whom he has appointed [the] king of Babylon over [the] cities of Judah and remain with him in among the people or to any [place] right in view your to go go and he gave to him [the] chief of [the] bodyguards a food allowance and a present and he let go him.

6 Y vino Jeremías a Godolías, hijo de Ahicam, a Maspat, y moró con él en medio del pueblo que había quedado en la tierra.

And he went Jeremiah to Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam Mizpah towards and he remained with him in among the people who remained in the land.

7 Y todos los príncipes del ejército que estaban por el campo, ellos y sus hombres, oyeron como el rey de Babilonia había puesto a Godolías, hijo de Ahicam, sobre la tierra, y que le había encomendado los hombres, y las mujeres, y los niños, y los pobres de la tierra, los que no fueron traspasados en Babilonia.

And they heard all [the] commanders of the armies which [were] in the open country they and men their that he had appointed [the] king of Babylon Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam over the land and that - he had appointed with him men and women and little one[s] and some of [the] poor people of the land from [those] who not they had been taken into exile Babylon towards.

8 Y vinieron a Godolías en Maspat, es a saber, Ismael, hijo de Natanías, y Johanán, y Jonatán, hijos de Carée, y Sareas, hijo de Taneumet, y los hijos de Ofi, Netofatita, y Jezonías, hijo de Maacati, ellos y sus hombres.

And they came to Gedaliah Mizpah towards and Ishmael [the] son Nethaniah and Johanan and Jonathan [the] sons of Kareah and Seraiah [the] son of Tanhumeth and [the] sons of - (Ephai *Q(K)*) the Netophathite and Jezaniah [the] son of the Maacathite they and men their.

9 Y juróles Godolías, hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Safán, a ellos y a sus hombres, diciendo: No tengáis temor de servir a los Caldeos: habitád en la tierra, y servíd al rey de Babilonia, y habréis bien.

And he swore an oath to them Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam [the] son of Shaphan and to men their saying may not you be afraid from serving the Chaldeans remain in the land and serve [the] king of Babylon so it may go well for you.

10 Y veis aquí que yo habito en Maspat para estar delante de los Caldeos que vendrán a nosotros; y vosotros cogéd el vino, y el pan, y el aceite, y ponédlo en vuestros almacenes, y quedáos en vuestras ciudades que habéis tomado.

And I here I [will be] dwelling at Mizpah to stand before the Chaldeans who they will come to us and you gather wine and summer fruit and oil and put [them] in vessels your and dwell in cities your which you have taken hold of.

11 Y asimismo todos los Judíos que estaban en Moab, y entre los hijos de Ammón, y en Edom, y los que estaban en todas las tierras, oyeron decir como el rey de Babilonia había concedido resto de Judá, que había puesto sobre ellos a Godolías, hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Safán.

And also all the Jews who [were] in Moab - and among [the] people of Ammon and in Edom and who [were] in all the lands they heard that he had given [the] king of Babylon a remnant to Judah and that he had appointed over them Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam [the] son of Shaphan.

12 Y tornáronse todos los Judíos de todas las partes adonde habían sido echados, y vinieron en tierra de Judá a Godolías en Maspat, y cogieron vino y muy mucho pan.

And they returned all the Jews from all the places where they had been driven away there and they came [the] land of Judah to Gedaliah Mizpah towards and they gathered wine and summer fruit much exceedingly.

13 Y Johanán, hijo de Carée, y todos los príncipes de los ejércitos que estaban en el campo, vinieron a Godolías en Maspat.

And Johanan [the] son of Kareah and all [the] commanders of the armies which [were] in the open country they came to Gedaliah Mizpah towards.

14 Y dijéronle: ¿No sabes de cierto como Baalis, rey de los hijos de Ammón, ha enviado a Ismael, hijo de Natanías para matarte? Mas Godolías, hijo de Ahicam, no los creyó.

And they said to him ¿ really do you know that Baalis - [the] king of [the] people of Ammon he has sent Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah to strike you life and not he believed them Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam.

15 Y Johanán hijo de Carée, habló a Godolías en secreto en Maspat, diciendo: Yo iré ahora, y heriré a Ismael, hijo de Natanías, y hombre no lo sabrá; ¿por qué te ha de matar, y todos los Judíos que se han recogido a ti se derramarán, y perecerá la resta de Judá?

And Johanan [the] son of Kareah he said to Gedaliah in secrecy at Mizpah saying let me go please and let me strike down Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah and anyone not he will know why? will he strike you life and will they be scattered all Jews who have gathered to you and will it perish [the] remnant of Judah.

16 Y Godolías, hijo de Ahicam, dijo a Johanán, hijo de Carée: No hagas esto; porque falso es lo que tú dices de Ismael.

And he said Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam to Johanan [the] son of Kareah may not (you do *Q(k)*) the thing this for falsehood you [are] speaking concerning Ishmael.
