Jeremías 33
1 Y fue palabra de Jehová a Jeremías la segunda vez, estando él aun preso en el patio de la guarda, diciendo:
The word of Jehovah came also to Jeremiah the second time, while he was shut up in the court of the prison, and said: —
2 Así dijo Jehová que la hace, Jehová que la forma para afirmarla, Jehová es su nombre:
Thus saith Jehovah, who doeth it, Jehovah who disposeth it, to establish it; Jehovah is his name.
3 Clama a mí, y responderte he, y enseñarte he cosas grandes y dificultosas que tú no sabes.
Call to me, and I will answer thee, And I will show thee great things, And hidden things which thou knowest not.
4 Porque así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel de las casas de esta ciudad, y de las casas de los reyes de Judá, derribadas con trabucos y con espada:
For thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Concerning the houses of this city, And concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, Which are thrown down toward the mounds and the sword,
5 Porque vinieron para pelear con los Caldeos, para henchirlas de cuerpos de hombres muertos, a los cuales yo herí con mi furor, y con mi ira; y porque escondí mi rostro de esta ciudad a causa de toda su malicia:
To fight with the Chaldaeans, And to fill them with the dead bodies of men, Whom I have smitten in mine anger and in my wrath, And for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city:
6 He aquí que yo le hago subir sanidad y medicina; y curarlos he, y revelarles he multitud de paz y de verdad.
Behold, I will bind up her wounds, and heal them, And I will reveal to them abundance of peace and stability.
7 Y haré volver la cautividad de Judá, y la cautividad de Israel, y edificarlos he como al principio.
And I will bring back the captives of Judah, And the captives of Israel, And I will build them, as at the first.
8 Y limpiarlos he de toda su maldad con que pecaron contra mí, y perdonaré todos sus pecados con que pecaron contra mí, y con que rebelaron contra mí.
And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, Whereby they have sinned against me; And I will forgive all their iniquities, Whereby they have sinned, And have rebelled against me.
9 Y me será a mí por nombre de gozo, de alabanza, y de gloria entre todas las naciones de la tierra, que oyeron todo el bien que yo les hago; y temerán, y temblarán de todo el bien, y de toda la paz, que yo les haré.
And it [[the city]] shall be to me a name of joy, A praise and a glory among all the nations of the earth, Who shall hear of all the good which I do to them. And they shall fear and tremble because of all the good, And because of all the prosperity, which I bestow upon it.
10 Así dijo Jehová: Aun en este lugar, del cual decís que está desierto, sin hombres, y sin animales, se oirá en las ciudades de Judá, y en las calles de Jerusalem, que están asoladas sin hombre, y sin morador, y sin animal,
Thus saith Jehovah: Yet again shall be heard in this place, Of which ye say, “It is desolate, without man and without beast,” In the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, Which are desolate, without man, Even without an inhabitant and without beast,
11 Voz de gozo, y voz de alegría, voz de desposado, y voz de desposada, voz de los que digan: Confesád a Jehová de los ejércitos, porque es bueno Jehová, porque para siempre es su misericordia: de los que traigan alabanza a la casa de Jehová; porque tornaré a traer la cautividad de la tierra como al principio, dijo Jehová.
The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, The voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, The voice of them that say, “Praise ye Jehovah of hosts, For Jehovah is good, For his mercy endureth forever!” And of them that bring an offering of praise to the house of Jehovah. For I will restore the captives of the land, As at the first, saith Jehovah.
12 Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Aun en este lugar desierto, sin hombre, y sin animal, y en todas sus ciudades, habrá cabaña de pastores que hagan tener majada a ganados.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Yet again shall there be in this place, Which is desolate, without man and without beast, And in all the cities thereof, A habitation of shepherds, who shall cause their flocks to rest;
13 En las ciudades de las montañas, en las ciudades de los campos, y en las ciudades que están al mediodía, y en tierra de Ben-jamín, y al rededor de Jerusalem, y en las ciudades de Judá aun pasarán ganados por las manos de los contadores, dijo Jehová.
In the cities of the hill-country, and in the cities of the plain, And in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, And in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, Shall the flocks pass yet again Under the hands of him that numbereth them, saith Jehovah.
14 He aquí que vienen días, dijo Jehová, en que yo confirmaré la palabra buena que he hablado a la casa de Israel, y a la casa de Judá.
Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, That I will perform that good thing Which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel, And concerning the house of Judah.
15 En aquellos días, y en aquel tiempo haré producir a David Pimpollo de justicia, y hará juicio y justicia en la tierra.
In those days and at that time Will I cause to grow up from David a righteous branch, Who shall maintain justice and equity in the land.
16 En aquellos días Judá será salvo, y Jerusalem habitará seguramente, y esto será lo que la llamará: Jehová justicia nuestra.
In those days shall Judah be saved, And Jerusalem shall dwell securely; And this is the name which shall be given her, Jehovah-is-our-salvation.
17 Porque así dijo Jehová: No faltará a David varón que se asiente sobre el trono de la casa de Israel.
For thus saith Jehovah: There shall never fail from David A man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
18 Y de los sacerdotes y Levitas: No faltará varón que delante de mi presencia ofrezca holocausto, y encienda presente, y que haga sacrificio todos los días.
Neither from the priests and the Levites Shall a man fail before me, To offer burnt-offerings, and to kindle meat-offerings, And to perform sacrifice continually.
19 Y fue palabra de Jehová a Jeremías, diciendo:
And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah and said,
20 Así dijo Jehová: Si pudiereis invalidar mi concierto con el día, y mi concierto con la noche, para que no haya día ni noche a su tiempo:
Thus saith Jehovah: If ye can break my covenant concerning the day, And my covenant concerning the night, So that there shall no more be day and night in their season,
21 Así se podrá invalidar mi concierto con mi siervo David, para que deje de tener hijo que reine sobre su trono, y con los Levitas y sacerdotes mis ministros.
Then also may my covenant with David my servant be broken, So that he shall not have a son to reign upon his throne, And with the Levites, the priests, my servants.
22 Como no puede ser contado el ejército del cielo, ni la arena de la mar se puede medir, así multiplicaré la simiente de David mi siervo, y los Levitas que ministran a mí.
As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, Nor the sand of the sea measured, So will I multiply the posterity of David my servant, And the Levites who minister to me.
23 Y fue palabra de Jehová a Jeremías, diciendo:
The word of Jehovah came also to Jeremiah, saying:
24 ¿No has visto lo que habla este pueblo, diciendo: Dos familias que Jehová escogió ha desechado; y han tenido en poco mi pueblo hasta no tenerlos más por nación?
Seest thou not what this people speaketh, saying, “The two families, which Jehovah chose, he hath cast off”? Therefore they despise my people, So that they are no more a people in their eyes.
25 Así dijo Jehová: Si mi concierto no permaneciere con el día y la noche, y si yo no he puesto las leyes del cielo y de la tierra;
Thus saith Jehovah: If my covenant concerning the day and the night be not maintained, And if I have not established the ordinances of the heaven and the earth,
26 También desecharé la simiente de Jacob, y de David mi siervo, para no tomar de su simiente quien sea señor sobre la simiente de Abraham, de Isaac, y de Jacob; porque haré volver su cautividad, y habré de ellos misericordia.
Then will I cast away the posterity of Jacob, and of David, my servant, So as not to take of his posterity to be rulers Over the posterity of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; For I will bring them back from their captivity, And have mercy upon them.
