Jeremías 25
1 Palabra que fue a Jeremías de todo el pueblo de Judá, en el año cuarto de Joacim, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, el cual es el año primero de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia.
The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon;
2 Lo que habló Jeremías profeta a todo el pueblo de Judá, y a todos los moradores de Jerusalem, diciendo:
The which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,
3 Desde el año trece de Josías, hijo de Amón, rey de Judá, hasta este día, que son veinte y tres años, fue a mi palabra de Jehová, la cual hablé a vosotros, madrugando y hablando, y no oísteis.
From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of Yhwh hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
4 Y envió Jehová a vosotros todos sus siervos profetas, madrugando y enviando, y no oísteis, ni abajasteis vuestro oído para oír;
And Yhwh hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.
5 Diciendo: Volvéos ahora de vuestro mal camino, y de la maldad de vuestras obras, y morád sobre la tierra que os dio Jehová, a vosotros y a vuestros padres para siempre;
They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yhwh hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:
6 Y no caminéis en pos de dioses ajenos, sirviéndoles y encorvándoos a ellos; ni me provoquéis a ira con la obra de vuestras manos, y no os haré mal.
And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.
7 Y no me oísteis, dijo Jehová, para provocarme a ira con la obra de vuestras manos, para mal vuestro.
Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith Yhwh; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.
8 Por tanto así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Porque no oísteis mis palabras.
Therefore thus saith Yhwh of Armies; Because ye have not heard my words,
9 He aquí que yo enviaré, y tomaré todos los linajes del aquilón, dice Jehová, y a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, mi siervo, y traerlos he contra esta tierra, y contra sus moradores, y contra todas estas naciones al derredor; y matarlos he, y ponerlos he por escarnio, y por silbo, y en soledades perpetuas.
Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith Yhwh, and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.
10 Y haré perder de entre ellos voz de gozo, y voz de alegría, voz de desposado, y voz de desposada, voz de muelas, y luz de antorcha.
Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle.
11 Y toda esta tierra será puesta en soledad, en espanto; y servirán estas naciones al rey de Babilonia setenta años:
And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 Y será que cuando fueren cumplidos los setenta años, visitaré sobre el rey de Babilonia, y sobre aquella nación su maldad, dijo Jehová, y sobre la tierra de los Caldeos; y yo la pondré en desiertos para siempre.
And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith Yhwh, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
13 Y traeré sobre aquella tierra todas mis palabras que he hablado contra ella, con todo lo que está escrito en este libro, profetizado por Jeremías, contra todas las naciones.
And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
14 Porque se servirán también de ellos muchas naciones, y reyes grandes; y yo les pagaré conforme a su obra, y conforme a la obra de sus manos.
For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.
15 Porque así me dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: Toma de mi mano el vaso del vino de este furor, y da de beber de él a todas las naciones a las cuales yo te envío.
For thus saith Yhwh God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
16 Y beberán, y temblarán, y enloquecerán delante de la espada que yo envío entre ellos.
And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
17 Y tomé el vaso de la mano de Jehová, y di de beber a todas las naciones a las cuales me envió Jehová:
Then took I the cup at Yhwh's hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom Yhwh had sent me:
18 A Jerusalem, y a las ciudades de Judá, y a sus reyes, y sus príncipes, para que yo las pusiese en soledad, en escarnio, y en silbo y en maldición, como este día:
To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;
19 A Faraón, rey de Egipto, y a sus siervos, y a sus príncipes, y a todo su pueblo:
Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
20 Y a toda la mistura; y a todos los reyes de tierra de Hus; y a todos los reyes de tierra de Palestina, y a Ascalón, y Gaza, y Accarón, y a la resta de Azoto:
And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod,
21 A Edom, y Moab, y a los hijos de Ammón:
Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon,
22 Y a todos los reyes de Tiro, y a todos los reyes de Sidón, y a los reyes de las islas que están de ese cabo de la mar:
And all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea,
23 Y a Dedán, y Tema, y Buz, y a todos los que están al cabo del mundo:
Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the utmost corners,
24 Y a todos los reyes de Arabia, y a todos los reyes de la Arabia que habita en el desierto:
And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert,
25 Y a todos los reyes de Zambrí, y a todos los reyes de Elam, y a todos los reyes de Media:
And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,
26 Y a todos los reyes del aquilón, los de cerca y los de lejos, los unos de los otros; y a todos los reinos de la tierra que están sobre la haz de la tierra, y el rey de Sesac beberá después de ellos.
And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
27 Decirles has pues: Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Bebéd, y emborracháos, y vomitád, y caéd, y no os levantéis delante de la espada que yo envío entre vosotros.
Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith Yhwh of Armies, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
28 Y será que si no quisieren tomar el vaso de tu mano para beber, decirles has: Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Bebiendo bebéd.
And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith Yhwh of Armies; Ye shall certainly drink.
29 Porque he aquí que a la ciudad sobre la cual es llamado mi nombre yo comienzo a hacer mal, ¿y vosotros solos seréis absueltos? No seréis absueltos; porque espada traigo sobre todo los moradores de la tierra, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos.
For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith Yhwh of Armies.
30 Tú pues profetizarás a ellos todas estas palabras, y decirles has: Jehová bramará como león de lo alto, y de la morada de su santidad dará su voz: bramando bramará sobre su morada, canción de lagareros cantará a todos los moradores de la tierra.
Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, Yhwh shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 Llegó el estruendo hasta el cabo de la tierra; porque juicio de Jehová con las naciones: él es el Juez de toda carne: los impíos entregará a la espada, dijo Jehová.
A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for Yhwh hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith Yhwh.
32 Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: He aquí que el mal sale de nación en nación, y grande tempestad se levantará de los fines de la tierra.
Thus saith Yhwh of Armies, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
33 Y serán muertos de Jehová en aquel día desde el un cabo de la tierra hasta el otro cabo: no se endecharán, ni se cogerán, ni se enterrarán: como estiércol serán sobre la haz de la tierra.
And the slain of Yhwh shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.
34 Aullád, pastores, y clamád, y revolcaos en el polvo, los mayorales del hato; porque vuestros días son cumplidos para ser degollados, y esparcidos vosotros; y caeréis como vaso de codicia.
Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.
35 Y la huida se perderá de los pastores; y el escapamiento, de los mayorales del hato.
And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.
36 Voz de la grita de los pastores, y aullido de los mayorales del hato se oirá; porque Jehová asoló sus majadas.
A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for Yhwh hath spoiled their pasture.
37 Y las majadas pacíficas serán taladas, por la ira del furor de Jehová.
And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of Yhwh.
38 Desamparó como leoncillo su morada; porque la tierra de ellos fue asolada por la ira del opresor, y por el enojo de su furor.
He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.
