Jeremías 22
1 Así dijo Jehová: Desciende a la casa del rey de Judá, y habla allí esta palabra,
Thus said the Lord, Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word;
2 Y dí: Oye palabra de Jehová, o! rey de Judá, que estas asentado sobre el trono de David: tú, y tus criados, y tu pueblo, que entran por estas puertas.
And thou shalt say, Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:
3 Así dijo Jehová: Hacéd juicio y justicia, y librád al oprimido de mano del opresor, y no engañéis ni robéis al extranjero, ni al huérfano, ni a la viuda, ni derraméis sangre inocente en este lugar.
Thus hath said the Lord, Execute ye justice and righteousness, and deliver him that is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor; and the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow shall ye not oppress, and do them no violence, and shed no innocent blood in this place.
4 Porque si haciendo hiciereis esta palabra, entrarán por las puertas de esta casa los reyes sentados por David sobre su trono, cabalgando en carro y en caballos, él, y sus criados, y su pueblo.
For if ye indeed will do this thing, then shall enter in through the gates of this house kings sitting after David upon his throne, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.
5 Y si no oyereis estas palabras, por mí juré, dijo Jehová, que esta casa será desierta.
But if ye will not hear these words, then do I swear by myself, saith the Lord, that this house shall become a ruin.
6 Porque así dijo Jehová sobre la casa del rey de Judá: Galaad, tú a mí, o! cabeza del Líbano, si yo no te pusiere en soledad, y ciudades inhabitables.
For thus hath said the Lord concerning the house of the king of Judah, A Gil'ad [though] thou art unto me, a summit of the Lebanon: yet I will surely change thee into a wilderness, cities which are not inhabited.
7 Y señalaré contra ti disipadores, cada uno con sus armas, y cortarán tus cedros escogidos, y echarlos han en el fuego.
And I will make ready against thee destroyers, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down the choice of thy cedars, and cast them into the fire.
8 Y muchas naciones pasarán junto a esta ciudad, y dirán cada uno a su compañero: ¿Por qué lo hizo así Jehová con esta grande ciudad?
And [when] many nations [then] pass by this city, they will say every man to his neighbor, Wherefore hath the Lord done the like unto this great city?
9 Y dirán: Porque dejaron el concierto de Jehová su Dios, y adoraron dioses ajenos, y les sirvieron.
Then shall they say, Because they had forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God, and bowed down unto other gods, and served them.
10 No lloréis al muerto, ni hayáis compasión de él, llorando llorád por el que va, por que no volverá jamás; ni verá la tierra donde nació.
Weep not for the dead, and do not bemoan him: weep sorely for him that goeth away; for he shall never return any more, and see the land of his birth.
11 Porque así dijo Jehová de Sellum, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, que reina por Josías, su padre: El que saliere de este lugar, no volverá acá más:
For thus hath said the Lord respecting Shallum the son of Josiah the king of Judah, who reigneth in the place of Josiah his father, who is gone forth out of this place, He shall never return thither any more;
12 Antes en el lugar adonde le trasportaren, morirá, y no verá más esta tierra.
But in the place whither they have led him into exile, there shall he die; but this land shall he not see any more.
13 ¡Ay del que edifica su casa, y no en justicia; y sus salas, y no en juicio; sirviéndose de su prójimo de balde, y no dándole el salario de su trabajo!
Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by injustice; that maketh his neighbor work without wages, and giveth him not the reward for his labor;
14 Que dice: Edificaré para mí casa espaciosa, y airosas salas; y le abre ventanas, y la cubre de cedro, y la pinta de bermellón.
That saith, I will build me a roomy house, and ample chambers, and cutteth himself out windows, and ceileth it with cedar, and painteth it with colors.
15 ¿Reinarás, porque te cercas de cedro? ¿Tu padre no comió y bebió, e hizo juicio y justicia, y entonces le fue bien?
Shalt thou reign, because thou strivest to excel with cedar buildings? behold, thy father ate and drank, but he executed justice and righteousness: then was it well with him!
16 Juzgó la causa del afligido y del menesteroso, y entonces estuvo bien: ¿no es esto conocerme a mí, dijo Jehová?
He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then was it well: is not this the proper knowledge of me? saith the Lord.
17 Mas tus ojos y tu corazón no son sino a tu avaricia, y a derramar la sangre inocente, y a opresión, y a hacer agravio.
But thy eyes and thy heart are directed on nothing but upon thy own gain, and upon innocent blood to shed it, and upon oppression, and upon extortion, to practise them.
18 Por tanto así dijo Jehová de Joacim, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá: No le llorarán: ¡Ay hermano mío! ¡y ay hermana! no le llorarán: ¡Ay Señor! ¡ay de su grandeza!
Therefore thus hath said the Lord concerning Jehoyakim the son of Josiah the king of Judah, They shall not lament for him, with, “Woe, my brother!” and, “Woe, sister!” they shall not lament for him, with “Woe, lord!” and, “Woe, to his glory!”
19 En sepultura de asno será enterrado, arrastrándole y echándole fuera de las puertas de Jerusalem.
With the burial of an ass shall he be buried, dragged about and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.
20 Sube al Líbano, y clama, y en Basán da tu voz, y grita hacia todas partes; porque todos tus enamorados son quebrantados.
Ascend the Lebanon, and cry aloud; and let thy voice resound in Bashan; and cry aloud from 'Aharim; for crushed are all thy lovers.
21 Hablé a ti en tus prosperidades: dijiste: No oiré. Este fue tu camino desde tu juventud, que nunca oíste mi voz.
I spoke unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy very youth, that thou didst not hearken to my voice.
22 A todos tus pastores pacerá el viento, y tus enamorados irán en cautividad. Entonces te avergonzarás, y te confundirás a causa de toda tu malicia.
The wind shall scatter abroad all thy shepherds, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded because of all thy wickedness.
23 Habitaste en el Líbano: hiciste tu nido en los cedros: ¡cuán amada serás cuando te vinieren dolores, dolor como de mujer que está de parto!
O inhabitress of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how full of grace wilt thou be! when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!
24 Vivo yo, dijo Jehová, que si Conías, hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, fuera anillo en mi mano diestra, que de allí te arrancaré.
As I live, saith the Lord, though Conyahu the son of Jehoyakim the king of Judah were a signet upon my right hand, yet for a surety would I thence pluck thee;
25 Y te entregaré en mano de los que buscan tu alma, y en mano de aquellos cuya vista temes: y en mano de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y en mano de los Caldeos.
And I will give thee into the hand of those that seek thy life, and into the hand of those of whom thou art afraid, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
26 Y hacerte he trasportar, a ti y a tu madre que te parió, a tierra ajena en la cual no nacisteis, y allá moriréis.
And I will hurl thee out, and thy mother that hath born thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.
27 Y a la tierra a la cual ellos levantan su alma para tornar allá, no volverán allá.
But to the land whitherward they direct their soul to return, thither shall they not return.
28 ¿Es este hombre Conías un ídolo vil, quebrado? ¿vaso con que nadie se deleita? ¿Por qué fueron arrojados él y su generación? ¿fueron echados a tierra que no conocieron?
Is this man Conyahu a despised broken image? or a vessel without value? wherefore are they hurled out, he and his seed, and are cast forth into a land which they know not?
29 ¡O tierra, tierra, tierra! oye palabra de Jehová.
O land, land, land! hear the word of the Lord.
30 Así dijo Jehová: Escribíd este varón privado de generación: hombre a quien nada sucederá prósperamente en todos los días de su vida; porque ningún hombre de su simiente que se asentare sobre el trono de David, y que se enseñoreare sobre Judá, jamás será dichoso.
Thus hath said the Lord, Write ye down this man as childless, as a man that shall not prosper in his days; for no man of his seed shall succeed to sit upon the throne of David, and to rule any more in Judah.
