Isaías 63

1 ¿Quién es este que viene de Edom: de Bosra, con vestidos bermejos? ¿Este, hermoso en su vestido, que va con la grandeza de su poder? Yo, el que hablo en justicia, grande para salvar.

Who is this that commeth from Edom, with red garments from Bozrah? hee is glorious in his apparel and walketh in his great strength: I speake in righteousnesse, and am mightie to saue.

2 ¿Por qué es bermejo tu vestido? ¿y tus ropas como de el que ha pisado en lagar?

Wherefore is thine apparel red, and thy garments like him that treadeth in ye wine presse?

3 Solo pisé el lagar, y de los pueblos nadie fue conmigo. Pisélos con mi ira, y los hollé con mi furor; y su sangre salpicó mis vestidos, y ensucié todas mis ropas.

I haue troden the wine presse alone, and of all people there was none with mee: for I will treade them in mine anger, and tread them vnder foote in my wrath, and their blood shalbe sprinkled vpon my garments, and I will staine all my raiment.

4 Porque el día de la venganza está en mi corazón; y el año de mis redimidos es venido.

For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the yeere of my redeemed is come.

5 Miré pues, y no había quien ayudase; y abominé, que no hubiese quien me sustentase: y salvóme mi brazo, y me sustentó mi ira.

And I looked, and there was none to helpe, and I wondered that there was none to vpholde: therefore mine owne arme helped me, and my wrath it selfe sustained me.

6 Y hollé los pueblos con mi ira, y los embriagué de mi furor, y derribé a tierra su fortaleza.

Therefore I wil tread downe the people in my wrath, and make them drunken in mine indignation, and wil bring downe their strength to the earth.

7 De las misericordias de Jehová haré memoria, de las alabanzas de Jehová, como sobre todo lo que Jehová nos ha dado; y de la grandeza de su beneficencia a la casa de Israel, que les ha hecho según sus misericordias, y según la multitud de sus miseraciones.

I wil remember the mercies of the Lord and the prayses of the Lord according vnto all that the Lord hath giuen vs, and for the great goodnesse toward the house of Israel, which hee hath giuen them according to his tender loue, and according to his great mercies.

8 Y dijo: Ciertamente mi pueblo son, hijos que no mienten; y fue su Salvador.

For he saide, Surely they are my people, children that wil not lie: so he was their Sauiour.

9 En toda angustia de ellos él fue angustiado, y el ángel de su faz los salvó: con su amor, y con su clemencia los redimió, y los trajo a cuestas, y los levantó todos los días del siglo.

In all their troubles he was troubled, and the Angel of his presence saued them: in his loue and in his mercie he redeemed them, and he bare them and caried them alwayes continually.

10 Mas ellos fueron rebeldes, e hicieron enojar su Espíritu Santo: por lo cual se les volvió enemigo, y él mismo peleó contra ellos.

But they rebelled and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore was hee turned to be their enemie and he fought against them.

11 Empero acordóse de los días antiguos, de Moisés, y de su pueblo: ¿Dónde está el que los hizo subir de la mar con el pastor de su rebaño? ¿Dónde está el que puso en medio de él su Espíritu Santo?

Then he remembred the olde time of Moses and his people, saying, Where is hee that brought them vp out of the Sea with the shepheard of his sheepe? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?

12 ¿El que los guió por la diestra de Moisés con el brazo de su gloria? ¿El que rompió las aguas, haciéndose a sí nombre perpetuo?

He led them by the right hand of Moses with his owne glorious arme, deuiding the water before them, to make himselfe an euerlasting Name.

13 El que los hizo ir por los abismos como un caballo por el desierto, nunca tropezaron.

Hee led them through the deepe, as an horse in the wildernesse, that they should not stumble,

14 El Espíritu de Jehová los pastoreó, como a una bestia que desciende al valle: así pastoreaste tu pueblo, para hacerte nombre glorioso.

As the beast goeth downe into the valley, the Spirite of the Lord gaue them rest: so diddest thou leade thy people, to make thy selfe a glorious Name.

15 Mira desde el cielo, desde la morada de tu santidad, y de tu gloria. ¿Dónde está tu zelo, y tu fortaleza, la multitud de tus entrañas, y de tus miseraciones para conmigo? ¿Hánse estrechado?

Looke downe from heauen, and beholde from the dwelling place of thine holines, and of thy glory. Where is thy zeale and thy strength, the multitude of thy mercies, and of thy compassions? they are restrained from me.

16 Porque tú eres nuestro padre, que Abraham nos ignora, e Israel no nos conoce: Tú, Jehová, eres nuestro padre, nuestro Redentor perpetuo es tu nombre.

Doutles thou art our Father: though Abraham be ignorant of vs, and Israel knowe vs not, yet thou, O Lord, art our Father, and our redeemer: thy Name is for euer.

17 ¿Por qué, o! Jehová, nos has hecho errar de tus caminos? ¿Endureciste nuestro corazón a tu temor? Vuélvete por tus siervos, por las tribus de tu heredad.

O Lord, why hast thou made vs to erre from thy wayes? and hardened our heart from thy feare? Returne for thy seruants sake, and for the tribes of thine inheritance.

18 Por poco tiempo poseyó la tierra prometida, el pueblo de tu santidad: nuestros enemigos han hollado tu santuario.

The people of thine holinesse haue possessed it, but a litle while: for our aduersaries haue troden downe thy Sanctuarie.

19 Habemos sido como aquellos de quienes nunca te enseñoreaste, sobre los cuales nunca fue llamado tu nombre.

We haue bene as they, ouer whome thou neuer barest rule, and vpon whom thy Name was not called.
