Isaías 60

1 Levántate, resplandece: que viene tu lumbre, y la gloria de Jehová ha nacido sobre ti.

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the LORD’s glory has risen on you!

2 Que he aquí que tinieblas cubrirán la tierra, y oscuridad los pueblos; y sobre ti nacerá Jehová, y sobre ti será vista su gloria.

For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.

3 Y andarán las naciones a tu lumbre, y los reyes al resplandor de tu sol.

Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

4 Alza tus ojos en derredor, y mira, todos estos se han juntado, vinieron a ti: tus hijos vendrán de lejos, y tus hijas sobre el lado serán criadas.

“Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather themselves together. They come to you. Your sons will come from far away, and your daughters will be carried in arms.

5 Entonces verás, y resplandecerás; y maravillarse ha, y ensancharse ha tu corazón, que se haya vuelto a ti la multitud de la mar, que la fortaleza de las naciones haya venido a ti.

Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.

6 Multitud de camellos te cubrirá, pollinos de Madián, y de Efa: todos los de Sabá vendrán: oro e incienso traerán, y publicarán alabanzas de Jehová.

A multitude of camels will cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah. All from Sheba will come. They will bring gold and frankincense, and will proclaim the praises of the LORD.

7 Todo el ganado de Cedar será juntado para ti: carneros de Nabaiot te serán servidos: serán ofrecidos con gracia sobre mi altar; y la casa de mi gloria glorificaré.

All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will serve you. They will be accepted as offerings on my altar; and I will beautify my glorious house.

8 ¿Quiénes son estos que vuelan como nubes, y como palomas a sus ventanas?

“Who are these who fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

9 Porque a mi esperarán las islas, y las naves de Társis desde el principio: para traer tus hijos de lejos, su plata, y su oro con ellos, al nombre de Jehová tu Dios, y al Santo de Israel, que te ha glorificado.

Surely the islands will wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far away, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.

10 Y los hijos de los extranjeros edificarán tus muros, y sus reyes te servirán; porque en mi ira te herí, mas en mi buena voluntad habré de ti misericordia.

“Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will serve you; for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favour I have had mercy on you.

11 Tus puertas estarán de continuo abiertas, no se cerrarán de día ni de noche: para que fortaleza de naciones sea traída a ti, y sus reyes guiando.

Your gates also shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings led captive.

12 Porque la nación, o el reino que no te sirviere, perecerá; y asolando serán asoladas.

For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

13 La gloria del Líbano vendrá a ti, hayas, pinos, y bojes juntamente, para honrar el lugar de mi santuario, y honraré el lugar de mis pies.

“The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the cypress tree, the pine, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.

14 Y vendrán a ti humillados los hijos de los que te afligieron, y a las pisadas de tus pies se encorvarán todos los que te escarnecían; y llamarte han: Ciudad de Jehová, Sión del Santo de Israel.

The sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you; and all those who despised you will bow themselves down at the soles of your feet. They will call you the LORD’s City, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

15 En lugar de que has sido desechada y aborrecida, y que no había quien pasase por ti, ponerte he en gloria perpetua, en gozo de generación y generación.

“Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no one passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

16 Y mamarás la leche de las naciones, el pecho de los reyes mamarás; y conocerás que yo soy Jehová el Salvador tuyo, y Redentor tuyo, el Fuerte de Jacob.

You will also drink the milk of the nations, and will nurse from royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Saviour, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

17 Por el metal traeré oro, y por el hierro plata, y por la madera metal, y por las piedras hierro; y pondré paz por tu tributo, y justicia por tus exactores.

For bronze I will bring gold; for iron I will bring silver; for wood, bronze, and for stones, iron. I will also make peace your governor, and righteousness your ruler.

18 Nunca más se oirá en tu tierra violencia, destrucción y quebrantamiento en tus términos: mas a tus muros llamarás salud; y a tus puertas alabanza.

Violence shall no more be heard in your land, nor desolation or destruction within your borders; but you will call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.

19 El sol nunca más te servirá de luz para el día, ni el resplandor de la luna te alumbrará: mas serte ha Jehová por luz perpetua, y por tu gloria, el Dios tuyo.

The sun will be no more your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon give light to you, but the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.

20 No se pondrá jamás tu sol, ni tu luna menguará; porque te será Jehová por perpetua luz, y los días de tu luto serán acabados.

Your sun will not go down any more, nor will your moon withdraw itself; for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will end.

21 Y tu pueblo, todos ellos, serán justos; para siempre heredarán la tierra: serán renuevos de mi plantación, obra de mis manos, para glorificarme.

Then your people will all be righteous. They will inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

22 El pequeño será por mil, el menor, por nación fuerte. Yo Jehová a su tiempo haré que esto sea presto.

The little one will become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation. I, the LORD, will do this quickly in its time.”
