Isaías 20

1 En el año que vino Tartán en Azoto, cuando le envió Sargón, rey de Asiria, y peleó contra Azoto, y la tomó:

In the yeere that Tartan came to Ashdod, (when Sargon King of Asshur sent him) and had fought against Ashdod, and taken it,

2 En aquel tiempo habló Jehová por Isaías hijo de Amós, diciendo: Vé, y quita el saco de tus lomos, y descalza los zapatos de tus pies; e hízolo así, andando desnudo y descalzo.

At the same time spake the Lord by ye hand of Isaiah the sonne of Amoz, saying, Goe, and loose the sackecloth from thy loynes, and put off thy shooe from thy foote. And he did so, walking naked and barefoote.

3 Y dijo Jehová: De la manera que anduvo mi siervo Isaías desnudo y descalzo tres años, señal y pronóstico sobre Egipto, y sobre Etiopía;

And the Lord said, Like as my seruant Isaiah hath walked naked, and barefoote three yeeres, as a signe and wonder vpon Egypt, and Ethiopia,

4 Así llevará el rey de Asiria la cautividad de Egipto, y la transmigración de Etiopía, de mozos y de viejos, desnuda y descalza, y descubiertas las nalgas, para vergüenza de Egipto.

So shall the King of Asshur take away the captiuitie of Egypt, and the captiuitie of Ethiopia, both yong men and olde men, naked and barefoote, with their buttockes vncouered, to the shame of Egypt.

5 Y quebrantarse han, y avergonzarse han de Etiopía su esperanza, y de Egipto su gloria.

And they shall feare, and be ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.

6 Y dirá en aquel día el morador de esta isla: Mirád que tal fue nuestra esperanza, donde nos acogimos por socorro, para ser libres de la presencia del rey de Asiria. ¿Y cómo escaparemos?

Then shall the inhabitant of this yle say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we fledde for helpe to be deliuered from the King of Asshur, and howe shall we be deliuered?
